That filament gave him the beating of his life 😂😂😂
You put it on backwards. 😝
Dang, conductive filament? Hmm, that is very useful
longest short ive felt in a while, also please use a multimeter or something to measure the resistance of this
Shouldn’t a 9v battery straight to an LED be brighter, or even blow it? I’d prefer a test to see current flow, voltage and resistance.
100%, that filament is very resistive
@@gathlolol4618 Yes, I would think a better use of this would just a thin layer or two printed onto or inside a surface rather than these thick rods.
Obviously, the filament has a high resistance if he had a 9 V battery powering a single LED
So what the the rho, resistivity, of the material?
Cheers good info.
Didn't the data sheet for Gloop say it also contained some Acetone? Why not just add some Acetone to the PVC glue and try it again?
Woops, classic benchy but dang ur hot end. Ur so happy whrn ur hotend setup nonchalantly got clogged 😅
Can you make a video on sculpting the actual thing in blender? Such as a simple dragon
Revolutionary um kinda if you go back to the early 1900s tesla did it
Just came over from tiktok 👍🏻
@@Indiana_James Awesome! 😁
Sounds like it's time to oil the X rail.
psh, only nubs use calipers, Ive been using micrometers on ALL my prints. 😤 only a REAL maker uses micrometers.
(JK, plz dont, thats expensive implementation and maybe not good to use for 3d prints)
@DavidSmith-cr7mb 🤣Maybe if someone is 3D printing precision parts. 😁🧰
Dang, alr, about silk, I've heard it's abrasive or somthin?
Good intro on basic LED wiring, but it would have been more useful to know how to integrate the wiring into an actual 3D model.
Thank you for the comment! This is part of a series on LEDs in 3D Printing. Here's the play list. ruclips.net/p/PLBkXrisMhwa9LjhYES0aWH69HDGMrlfDZ There are a couple of more videos planned for the series. 😁
Triangle infill actually crushes 200 g less weight than grid so grids technically stronger for withstanding weight
You didn't show the steps to connecting with your phone. What a waste of time.
Oh yea TPU! Whats ur recomended shore hardness?
how do you deal with nozzle wear from certain filaments? like, if I print glow PLA in a nozzle, do I just dedicate that nozzle to it now and not use it for normal PLA anymore? what size works best for glow PLA printing? is there a size that dodges wear best? xan adjusting speeds n feeds minimize wear further?
I thank you for putting out this video . I think I need to adjust my retraction, I am having some string in my print of a head and it strings then I start hearing the nozzle drag On the built up strings and It Leeds to my print fail . My question is , where in the bamboo studio program do I find retraction ? I looked and looked and can’t find it anywhere just can’t seem to find it . Thank you ..
Wow! Amazint. Heres a sub and a like! I think glow in the dark is perfect! 👍👌 The for the warnin on my nozzel too!
If the pla doesn't have some kind of grip to it might not twist as well but do a pull test with the two skinny end also add 3D Lac to be a contender as well.
You should try something called 3DLac
Weld-On 16 Fast Set is my go to.
Hey I have a question, I'm designing a small (less than 3 inches) articulated dragon skeleton that isn't print in place (there's just no large flat surfaces). I normally do just PLA printing but it's not really possible for this print so I'm trying for resin. Is this print possible? What joints should I use? Looking around a lot of the joints seem to be placed on separate parts that you join together, with how thin they would have to be, I'm worried about them breaking if I do it like that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
@@dragonk4tz470 I would make the chain joint as thick as possible within the model. It may work with resin, but you’re going to need to play with it, especially the tolerances around the joints. I’ve actually made flexies with resin and they’ve worked out most of the time. There has been a few that have fused together at the joints. Good luck! Let me know how you make out 3D printing the dragon. 🐲 😁
@@MakerBuildIt Alright, thank you!
I saw a video on this stuff like 4 years ago. I'm sorry buddy but it didn't revolutionise 3d printing then. And it won't now. This is a old product and there's just too many downsides compared to just leaving a hole or channel and running a actual wire. There's a reason you never see this stuff used.
I work at a filament company and we’re on phase 3 of ESD filament right now (which is just conductive filament thats diluted so nothing short circuits) The stuff we tested last had a surface resistance of 20ohms over 10mm. Right now, my job is to get that to be around 1x10^9 ohms, which is just enough to prevent electrical buildup. The conductivity of the filament relies heavily on the underlying carbon structure. The stuff we’re using is some patented nanotube technology designed specifically for making conductive plastics. However, it’s extremely brittle, so it doesn’t make sense to use as filament unless it was completely embedded in the print. It’s also extremely expensive. I can’t share what our raw material costs are, but it’s not uncommon for small (200g) spools like that to cost $80-120 ($400-$600 per kg) depending on the way conductivity is created. You can of course dilute this, which makes it cheaper, but also adds more resistance, so there’s a ton of options
I am returning my A1 Mini. BL's business decision is giving me creeps...
@@mandibarcena6667 Starting to feel the same way.
try this: silk, dual-color PLA, use the Archimean bottom-fill, when you flip the part over you have this INCREDIBLE look...
Remember when you first started 3D printing? The start-up time seemed like it was an eternity. Now it seems I cannot get a drink of coffee without a machine needing love!
Thanks. Worst UX in history. Atrocious
If I were going to bore a hole into a model, I would just run actual wires through it
Exactly! 👍
It might actually have too much "conductance". If the conductive PLA was not purged 100% you may have a short.
That's a really good point! Going to have to test that! 😬
Bambu poops are probably a better connector than those weird wire nut thingies.
Ohms per inch or 25.4mm of filament would be useful.
We need to try this! So many possibilities making conduction layers organically in prints! Some creative games are coming our way!
It is not reliable in vering climate conditions its junk
Do yourself a favor dont buy this garbage lock.
What's your opinion of boutique enamel washes like Grimdark Compendium's Villainy Inks? I love the wet look for gore/mud when dried, but I'm trying to decide if I should just go buy a red and brown enamel at Michaels... thoughts?
Bro talks like an AI (He is)
Don’t worry I’m only 1% AI. 🤖
This design seems very manipulatable
😉
Why use the calipers? Can't you just use a soldering iron to melt the wireless LED into the plastic object?
Soon we might have to pay for that sound 😂
I made this video before I saw the news.....
@@MakerBuildIt haha .. It's still a cool sound
@ Let’s hope it stays that way. 😁
Do you want to change your fillament? That will be a $4,98 filament change fee on top of your 26,69 monthly subscription lmao
@@chinchan9 even more if its not a bambulab filament lol
For the twist test the test part should have either a 90 degree bend or notches or a way to attach something to allow you some leverage, As strong as I'm sure you are you're basically relying on the friction between your hand and a smooth round part to apply enough torque to break the bond.
When I used to wash dishes for a job, I made one of these boats and when it was time to drain the sanitizer, I'd make a whirlpool and plop one if these in there like a kid lol. Made the job kinda fun ☺️
Same actually 🎉
The json tip fixed my issue. TY
So you took the settings off the rolls and read them to us. WOW really helpful. These settings are great if you're using a 10 year old Marlin based printer. I want to see a print coming off a Bambu or similar with a stock speed settings in the slicer and a nozzle temperature of 190. Can you say 'clog'
Bambu will NEVER allow 3rd parties to use the same rfid system they use. Dream on though…
I use loctite superglue for small stuff and Mitreapel super CA glue for large projects
