My Disco 4 has been in a local garage for a suspension fault that rectifies itself with a restart. Their fancy Snap On obd readers couldn't find no history in the cars faults. Gap tool arrived today and found the 2 fault codes needed straight away for me to have a clue to know where to look. I'll be checking live values on ride level sensors with manual movement tomorrow morning for an example. I'm a Plumber so no Mechanic by a county mile but them codes are invaluble.

I work on Boeing Aircraft. Freakishly the beep and warnings are very similar to that found on 737, 747 etc...love it....though usually those beeps are not a good beep

You have a car that’s sat for months, you start it, it runs fine, but is low on fuel. You DRIVE it to refuel it, run completely out of fuel. You go get more fuel in an unspecified container ( My own experience I would have used some old container I found in one of the farm sheds.🤠) maybe the fuel was from a petrol station? not syphoned from another vehicle with a super clean hose. You restart the vehicle successfully but it has a miss now. We assume it’s an electrical fault ,probably because it’s a P38 Range Rover. I think put the original coil back on and any thing else that was changed(haven’t watched full post yet) make sure the fuel is clean . Run the engine and pull one HT lead at a time until you find which cylinder is not working. Check that injector is working ( they do have individual injectors?) then check for spark. My thoughts go straight to dirty fuel, possibly a rusty fuel tank which the drive stirred up , also possibly dirty fuel put in it. ( also from experience as a young lad on a farm a cool as fuck P38 Range Rover left in a shed for months would be toooo much temptation to not take fora spin) Good luck hope It helps. Im a D1 300tdi guy...just been given a D3 not working....ive got it going and about to fit a new handbrake module as its the only thing not working.

I have recently been given one due to nothing working since a mechanic fitted a new handbrake module.. Seems he couldn't get the plug out so cut and crimped all the cable's. Firstly i re did the connections by soldering . Got the menue up but still no joy..diagnostics couldn't talk to any modules but body control....tool out canbus cables from handbreak module,linked tbem and everything works ..except handbrake 😂

I have a 2008 land rover HSE, they took out the air suspension, for springs. I wanted all original parts. But the problem is the compressor doesn't turn on. All new parts, what do I need to do more. Dumb founded

Hi peter and everyone , I've just come across your channel and really hope you can help me. Peter , I woz doin a update and it said low voltage on the center screen , now when I press the start button for the ignition to come on it lights up with loads of faults , when I press the start button with my foot on the brake pedal the car just turns off as if you'd been driving parked up and press the start button to turn the engine off, if that makes sense , peter and follows is it a case of changing the battery to full and Finnishing the update for the car to start .. can't believe I've done this with no one around to help , any help would be very very much appreciated.

Hi Peter, I need your Help, I just bought 2009 Range rover sport and the next day tire pressure light turn on with message tire pressure monitoring failure and car system shut down but I am still able drive the car but as soon as I shut off the engine I'm not able to start the car also showing code U0167, Can you please tell me what should I check first? and this gap tool can fixed the issue I'm having? if so I'll buy one, repair shop to me I need BCM and I changed used one still have issue after spend over $1000 and I do not want to take it to the shop again. Please help and Thanks

They are fantastic vehicles, but incredibly expensive to maintain, and unreliable.

Will it turn off the adaptive headlight icon, since I facelifted my 2008 L320 the headlights I used were non adaptive so am left with the flashing light on the dash

I have a 2006 rrs supercharged... My car was fine and out of boredom i selected calibrate anti roll option then i got e7 error code and my red suspension light is on... Everything still works ie suspension goes up an down etc but now the red light stays on and fault code C1A00-54 - Control module - System programming failure - missing calibration (AB)... 😮... Any advice please 🙏

Thanks for the help with understanding my Land Rover a bit better. I think I need to do a calibration because I had replaced a broken arm and before that the vehicle would raise and drop when using the buttons but now it just says "suspension lowered" when I leave my driveway. I've checked everything else out and I'm not experiencing any other problems than that. Just that message even though the suspension stays level and doesn't drop down at all

Remember 95% of all Range Rovers ever made are still on the road, the other 5% made it home. I have a 2010 and I love it. It’s cost me £3k in repairs - latest being a transfer box. If you buy a Range Rover you must be prepared in costs to keep it going

Have you definitely put the HT leads (spark plug wires) back in the correct order? You might want to check that as you could have messed the firing order up meaning it won't start.

Charge the battery or replace it. Make sure key battery is OK too. All doors closed put the key into the door lock hold it left for 5 seconds than right for 5 seconds. Should pair the key back to the car, it's a common thing to go wrong after a flat battery with these, usually says engine disabled but not always!

I have a 2001 P38 4.0 HSE as my 2nd car! Full engine rebuild and new EAS (air bags, sensors, and compressor). Really can’t beat the V8 experience! No rust and perfect original body & trim. P38s get a bad rep, but they’re more transparent with their problems and usually easier to fix these days than some of the more complex issues the L322 can throw at you! Also I’ve found the P38s are doing better in terms of rust these days than the L322. I still want a 4.4 naturally aspirated Jaguar V8 L322 but it’s impossible to find here in Northern Ireland. They rarely come up for sale! Great video btw!

Best car in the world ..... IF you buy a good one that has been looked after as you would look after one. I'm disabled and can't think of a better fit. Also the countryside views over the Top of hedgerows enable to see so much more. The L322 is the best. It's square shape does what it says, the eye on the corner, IS the corner. Not a cheap runaround, so don't expect it to be.

In the Facebook groups, everyone swears theirs is best despite most people only having experienced ownership of one model. I paid £5k for a 2009 3.6 TDV8. It needs paint, but has already had turbos done and comes with loads of history. At £5k it's not worth sorting the paint, but it drives great. Tempted by a later 4.4 or even 5.0 Supercharged but prefer the looks on the first two shapes.

Thanks for sharing . Does this iid Tool work with a 2018 Velar L560 ? I replaced the air compressor and it sets a code. I also think the height sensors needs calibration. Please let me know

3.6 tdv8 or 4.2 supercharged engines. Condition and maintenance are key.
