    Even on this video it's very audible how reverbery your room is - on phone speakers. And you're talking about speaker cables. With risers in the background. Interesting priorities!

    When I sold mine (upgrading to the new Ulfberht15) the buyer took a long time telling me how many much more expensive speakers he's owned, how unlikely it was these would make the cut, on and on. I said well you don't live far you're welcome to come even if you probably won't want them. Right away first song the guy was changing and recalibrating fast! Played him all kinds of different music, he just kept saying how they are so much better than expected. Kept asking me how much, and shaking his head. All his famous expensive speakers suddenly weren't all that. Spent a couple hours playing all kinds of music until I finally said hey if they're not for you no problem hate to kick you out but,.... then he pulled out the cash and paid my full asking price. First to come hear em, bought em. Nothing else even comes close, not at two, three, five times the price.

    Listened to these briefly while sitting next to Eric Alexander himself at RMAF a few years ago, an unrefined exaggerated in-your-face presentation, these are more for an untrained ear wanting to be wowed with volume and dynamics (just like what I heard from Infinity designs back in the 1970s) - Hey, whatever floats your boat as they say.

      You don't see any actual owners and buyers giving tekton a bad review for a reason...the speakers are awesome......professional shills trying to get clicks for coins reviewing 3rd hand products with no way of verification of their authentication and not adulterated...just lol at YT shills as a way to get your info about speakers lol

    yes! finally someone with common sense!! the key for cleaning effectively is-AGITATION-!!!or scrubbing to get the grim in to suspence,i would personally moving the brush a bit faster and longer to really see the """foam"" but i""am glad you discover how it should be!! thanks for the video!!

  • @Matasky2010
    @Matasky2010 10 месяцев назад

    The brush is really designed to spread the cleaner evenly across the surface, not to scrub the surface and create bubbles/suds. The cleaner contains surfactants that break surface tension, allowing cleaner to settle into the grooves and loosen the gunk through a chemical reaction- not by agitation- the brush bristles are too large to actually fit IN the tiny grooves. The gunk/debris is then 'suspended' in the solution until the vacuum sucks it out. By letting the cleaner sit for a longer time (a few minutes?) it can more effectively loosen the gunk in the grooves. Scrubbing does clean the record of course, but you're not actually scrubbing IN the grooves with that brush- you're cleaning the surface.

      seh ich auch so .. die rotierende Bürste von Hannl beispielsweise berührt kaum die Platte, da wird der Schmutz durch die Bewegung der Flüssigkeit gelöst. Mit dem Geschruppe entfernt man nicht nur den Schmutz, sondern auch die gespeicherten Informationen.

    For my mid-life crisis I'm considering building my ultimate system based around these w/ the Be tweeter and xover upgrade, and a tubes4hifi Dyna 120 modernized reproduction amp kit. I work in a hospital and we've had a string quartet in one of our lobbies playing xmas music last week. Not loud, but there's a sense of scale that cannot be replicated by small speakers. Plus, I like to rock it out sometimes.

    Your room seems very ''echo'' sorry, but you need to see to the room treatment .It's not the speakers ''it's the room''.Respectfully !

  • @tupuhumuhumunukunukuapuaa3093

    Woah, fix your room if you think the Moabs are not precise in their imaging. That's your room affecting the imaging. I know this for a fact as I gradually made changes to my room as far as treatment and placement. I experienced a whole bunch of different presentations. Finally got it all dialed in, and I've got something special going on, not just because I'm in love with the sound, folks who've heard it have said so. My first reflection is treated from floor to ceiling, as well as the corners. Moabs have a lot of radiating area to tame. Big difference than just treating around ear height.

  • @tupuhumuhumunukunukuapuaa3093

    I found the Moab to be forgiving of close proximity to the wall with and without treatment. I've been rocking them with the spikes on some sliding pucks for the spikes from some company that I can't remember, helped the sound. I'm tempted to try the Townshend Podiums. Only thing is, I'd have to raise my sofa to match the height I suppose. I like having the tweeter at ear height so I'm in the middle of the array.

    This is a great how-to. I have had an Okki Nokki for years. I find it interesting that you - and many others - recommend a distilled water rinse cycle (after L'Art du Son cleaning cycle) since Okki Nokki themselves fail to list that as a step in their own manual. Why do you think they committed that step? I must say that I wish I had watched this years ago because I have cleaned hundreds of albums without a rinse cycle. Do I now need to go back to every single once and simply give them each a rinse? What a huge bummer.

    • @citizenerased000
      @citizenerased000 Год назад

      I'm about to order an Okki Nokki and just did a ton of research confirming that rinsing the record is a must after applying cleaning solution no matter what record cleaning machine you are using. If not then your stylus is immediately going to pickup any residue from the solution from the cleaned records.

      @@citizenerased000 ich habe noch nirgends gesehen, dass man danach einen Reinigungsvorgang mit destillierten Wasser machen muss. Mit einer guten Reinigungsflüssigkeit halte ich das nicht für nötig. Wenn die Absaugeinheit in Ordnung ist wird die Flüssigkeit sehr gut entfernt.

    Hi Kevin, I am looking for a tall tower set for my parasound a21+ mono blocks which provide 1000wpc each, I want a laid back and relaxed sound with a lot of low end punch, somehow forgiving with heavy metal harsh recordings. Would you say that these Tektons are my best option? Can’t stand the analytical sound of hiend modern speakers anymore.

  • @tupuhumuhumunukunukuapuaa3093

    I have a pair of these about 2 years old performing magic tricks in my living room. I'm not sure what the limits of these things are really. I'm so happy with these speakers. I recently placed my two mono amps, power regenerator, and DAC each on a IKEA Aptileg (sp?) ~17"x20" butcher blocks on top of two 5"x7" cork mats. All but the DAC have some museum putty between the feet and block. I wasn't ready for that improvement. I thought it would be minor, but man what an improvement. More clarity and solidity across the range. Not bad for $100 after a couple of coupons my wife happened to have with her. equipment: Tekton Moab 4ohm bi-wireable, PS Audio M700 amps, Gustard A26 direct XLR to the amps, PS Audio P3 Regenerator. Roon using the DAC's built-in endpoint.

      So, I was supposed to receive mine by a team of two. They were supposed to deliver to my door and bring them in. Instead, an older fellow showed up by himself, was annoyed that I even mentioned the original agreement per my order and simply left the pallet in front of my garage. Ended up calling Eric who put me in touch with the packer who told me the best way to orient the box while moving it up a steep flight of steps from the garage to the first floor. Incident free otherwise, and no damage to the speakers or packaging. Flattened and shrink wrapped the packaging and foam for future moves. I don't look forward to ever having to pack them up.
