I have the DISE as well and I agree with you that the break-in made a big difference. Took a month for me. Had them for 2 yr now and they sound great, would never trade them out. My room doesn’t allow more than 18in away from the wall. I was worried but it works great, no boominess. Surprising for speakers that size.
I hope people respect this genius speaker builder, his products will go down as cult classics for his designs and just plain genius and ahead of his time products. I'm ordering the Troubadours just out of spite to add to my stereo speaker collection. I never get rid of speakers unless I know im done and the Troubadours will stay with me for the long run. The maker Eric is brilliant minded man and he should charge more for basic products then he does. Believe me when I say this, there is only so many speakers Eric can make at Tekton because he basically is in a garage type building situation and people will regret it if he stops making Tekton and they didnt order something from a Boutique audio gear manufacturer who is a genius because these will become cult classics all of his work and once he's gone that's it.
Wow! I'm feeling the need to get on the Tekton train. Great system, I really like the look of that Turntable. I really shouldn't watch videos like this, it only makes me want to upgrade. Thanks for sharing and I hope you enjoy and if don't please make another video and tell us why. Great job, I appreciate it.
Do you use any Alanis Morissette or Joan Osborn as reference material? There's one particular Alanis song that you can hear her inhale before the beginning of the song that starts off with a harmonica. I believe the song is "Hand in Pocket" but I might be wrong about the title. Correction, the name of the song is "All I Really Want" by Alanis Morissette.
Have been looking around for a chance to listen to these. Wouldn't happen to be in the YYZ area? - Thanks for the feedback on these. ( also a drummer )
