Not sure how i feel about a kid listening this song, i think it's a very deep topic and not sure if it's the time to share with a kid this kind of things, talk about this is very dangerous if the focus is wrong because the suicide is a very sensitive topic, specially for people which lived that kind of situation, i think all the people at some point of life though about suicide directly or indirectly for differente reasons, i know the little girl on the video is unware about this song's message deeply, but probably at least in my case, i love metallica but i think i don´t share with my kids my metallica taste at least until their adolescence, that's my opinion if someone else thinks a different way is ok as well. PD: sorry if i mispelled some words but english is not my fist language

Your right on all three it's about depression and dying and losing someone this song was written in a very depressing time in the singers life. When he guitar amp was stolen which was a gift from his mother who died later on in his life that's why this song is very heavy on depression and death. I think Metallica always had a obsession with death and the lyrics this song shows alot of the influence of that. But i guess those where his feelings at that time lost without his amp since it had sentimental value that can't be replaced.

If you cant feel Metallica, then give up on the rest of All music... Metallica shreds everytime...😈😈

You know what... I wish my mom could take me under her wings when I was a little kid to watch any of Metallica songs just like this great mother up there did with her beloved daughter... Unfortunately this will never be possible to me, cause my mother past away a long time ago by cancer. But I know and feel deep down inside that she is with me somehow, I do Believe it! I'm not a religious person, but heavy music and Tallica has been my source of energy through some hard times for good, it´s so nice to see these two enjoying their time together and talking about the power of Rock music though.
