I am jealous. I wish that either my son or daughter could have done something like this with me when they were that young. They are 21 and 16 respectively. Rock on Ladies !!!! Peace to you both and STAY SAFE!!!!!
The slow intro is a place setting though, it's designed to bring feeling of apprehension, of being a little unsettled but in a calm manner... much like someone who's in an asylum with nothing to do but stare out the window, sleep, and wait for what troubles the doctors bring next. Much like the present reality in that regard, isn't it.
Great song choice. I think its really cool that a girl so young as you likes the music i grew up with in the 1980's. Keep up the good work and rock on.
I like these ladies but don't like vin and sori because vin is an opinionated ass and is mentally abusive to sori..vin thinks his opinion is the only one that matters
Your mum is like... almost every mum - gorgeous, but i admire your passion to metal music! This sparks in your eyes when you are listening to this music. Keep doing sweetheart :)
Hi everyone! . I have been reading all of the comments and I try to keep up to answer them all but it is getting hard now there's soooooo many. I love this and I wanted to thank everyone for commenting and joining me on my channel. My mum helps me with my comments and they take a long time. I have read some comments about the sound on my videos but I don't have the equipment to make it sound better, sorry. I can't keep up with requests but I do remember lots of them. I will do less effects and try to make it sound better. I really like learning about the life of the bands and the whys from everyone. I like how people have different views on songs and many ways of explaining what the song is about. My mum will be going back to work very soon when we are allowed out so I will have to change to doing my videos somewhere else in the house as that's my mum's office. My channel is not monetized so I am going to start a Patreon page to try and get some support so I can buy a microphone, camera and so I can pay for my editing apps. My videos are clipped and I'm sorry but I make a lot of mistakes. If you want to support in any way and want to see my extra stuff and the benefits of becoming a Patreon, please visit my site here: www.patreon.com/ezziek I will also be doing some video hangouts, Patreon chats and I can also manage your votes and requests through there. I'm very excited and asked my mum if I can have fans join me somehow on special reaction videos of their choices. As soon as I have learned how to do it I will I hope. Facebook facebook.com/ezziekyoutube Instagram page coming soon too :) Thanks mum for helping me and dad too for nagging you to help me x
A small fact: the harmonic part before the last solo was written by the bassist Cliff Burton. He revealed it to James by saying "I can play guitar too!" and grabbed an acoustic guitar to show it.
From somebody who has had to work through the quarantine I just wanted to say thank you. I have enjoyed unwinding to you and your mum enjoying some of my favorites. Keep it up and I would say react to Black Label Society live performing Funeral Bell. Cheers.
You HAVE to love Metallica intros. They're so epically long but they set the tone for the song. The "long intro" is a lost art. I think "Harvester Of Sorrow" live in Moscow 1991 should be next (if you haven't done it yet). Uh-oh....it DOES have a long intro, though. Great vid, guys! Love you, mum!
this is one of the first metal songs that has slow acoustic parts...this needed such a courage to do in mid 80's when all metal bands tried to be as hardcore and fast as it gets...it prove that a musician should always listen to his heart and do what he want not what fashion wants him/her to be
Hi Ezzie. It does start slow, but that's because it's building a sense of dread. Do you know what dread is? It's like when you hear thunder, but it's a long way away. You know it's soon going to rain hard. Then you hear thunder again, but it's louder and longer. Then again, but it's really loud. That's dread. That's not being afraid, but knowing you will soon be afraid. That's why this song starts so slow. Because it's not scary, but it's letting you know that soon, it will be scary. It's building a sense of dread. I feel it when I hear the song. I hope you experience that same emotion too. Thanks for sharing your video with us during this lock down. Hello from the USA.
Awesome girl and mom :) I was about 5 or 6 too in the 90s when I was first exposed to Metallica with 2 older brothers who loves Metallica, Nirvana, Guns & Roses etc. Still have my dad's Kill em all t shirt from the 80s. You're doing great! Keep at it :)
I will echo again what someone said on Fade to Black! Nightwish "Ghost Love Score" live from Wacken Open Air 2013!!! It's a genre called symphonic metal but they also include elements of folk and other things as well. Lots of variety!!! 😉🤘❤️🤘
Yes, though I bet the Beatles would have loved to have the sound systems that bands like Metallica use on tour. No matter how much the audience screams, it can't overpower the band, unlike what they had available when the Beatles finally decided to no longer do live tours (as flattering as it may be, it's kind of ridiculous if you can't even hear yourself playing or singing due to noise from the audience).
0okamino true. Its also interesting to know the trajectories of both bands were opposites, Beatles from simple compositions that got progressive, while Metallica peak with complex compositions now favoring simplicity
This is the healthiest looking girl I have ever seen, brought up on a wholesome diet of Metallica and Iron Maiden. With that much iron you don’t need to eat your Brussel sprouts.
Ezzie you're very lucky to have parents that have great taste in music. My Mom introduced me to many great bands when I was young. I'm 56 now, But she had albums by groups like led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Queen, Nazereth and her favorite the Moody Blues. We got to go a several concerts together. She loved the Rolling Stones concert I took her to and Aerosmith and the Moody Blues , I was very happy I got to take her to see those. Even though it was heavier music then she usually listened to she loved the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. So enjoy this time you get to share together .
You're mother is quite the looker and so lucky to have the absolute greatest little girl I've honestly ever seen. Don't ever change little lady. And on a side note, Metallica has a lot of songs with long intros. Just part of their style. They have several instrumentals and they are all unbelievable. And they have a ton of cover songs and most are better than the original. In fact you said your mom has heard Whiskey in the Jar, that is a cover of a band called Thin Lizzy. Thank and I love your channel.
People keep slagging Lars drumming for not being the most technical (especially in this day and age of virtual drum machines) but his parts really do the songs justice. As you can see many will react to his parts favorably which is a testament to what he brings to the table. His playing accentuates the songs thoughtfully and is not just an exercise in technique although his technique is solid...
Very cool reaction vidieo, if you like Metallica you'll love Pantera hopefully you can react to Cowboys from Hell or cemetery Gates. Keep it up love the videos.
This band is awesome...loved the reaction and I subscribed...please do the metallic anthem...Master of Puppets...it is on a level by itself...you will not be disappointed
