Just get a v60 switch and lillydrip set and all coffee issues are resolved. With the lillydrip set you have different flow rates to accommodate different coffees. What I like about the lillydrip set is it makes the v60 a flat bottom brewer as well.

I always wait 3 weeks before brewing anything from Sey. Best roaster in the U.S. imo. Most other roasters even the ones that buy high scoring green coffee are way too developed. Passenger can also be very light (with a very different style), but I enjoy Sey’s style more + Passenger’s quality floor isn’t as high as Sey’s. Both have quite high quality ceilings though.

I have the same issue with mine not holding its seal. I’ve tried everything and I get 12 hours max out of mine

My thought's probably the rubber, rubber gets harden after sometime making the seal easily broken. Are the parts like rubber replaceable?

Original bag and a ziplock plastic bag squeezed closed never fails. Cool dark space preferably not out in humidity also best. Glass jar nah.

I just blend my own dried mushrooms blend that I buy from my natural foods health food shop. Add the ground blend to smoothies, gravies etc. I steep the powder like a tea until desired strength. I steep a large volume and refrigerate some…then i do my cacao, spices and small amount of instant coffee premix i make and add heated steeped mushroom mix … bye bye grit. Dried mushrooms still aren’t cheap…but it makes for a more affordable option …just doesn’t have the quick as instant coffee benefit

I can't recommend the Fellows product as mine started leaking after only 6 months. I cleaned the seal with water and thoroughly dried it only to have it leak again within weeks.

I agree, it is the most reminiscent of coffee by taste, and the price is right - - I only wish it had more flavors like Teeccino, or at least a flavor besides plain. . .

@2:40 about the seal beeing broken? James Hoffmann explained this issue, it's caused by the beans gassing co2. the vacuum seal is still ok.

I think this stuff tastes just awful by itself, but add a little oat milk and some stevia or honey, and there's just something about it. You can tell it's good for you. I'm used to drinking GOOD coffee. Starbucks disgusts me. I make my coffee in an Aeropress. Used to do just pour over, but i like the smoothness of the Aeropress. I generally don't like sweet, but i add some to MudWater due to the cacao. Actually, I'll add the MudWater to my coffee. It's great.

The "broken seal" isn't a problem. The outgassing of carbon dioxide which pops the seal is HEAVIER than the air outside, so even if the seal is broken, the beans are then marinating in carbon dioxide. The same carbon dioxide that came FROM the beans. A hardcore coffee curious science nerd could develop a small O2 meter that either is Bluetooth or can store its readings, put it into the container with a bunch of coffee, and take the measurements over time to confirm or deny the real world impact of the seal breaking due to the outgassing. Because remember, it's the O2 that's gonna have a deleterious effect on the beans.

I make mine in a steel tumble and continue to swirl it. Keeps it hot longer. Glass and ceramic cups cool off quick too quick in mho❤

Same thing happening to my glass version, but the stainless has been flawless. I would skip the glass version I think it is slipping off.

Losing the seal is very normal because of the CO2 release from fresh roasted beans . Let the fresh roasted beans set for 7-15 days in the factory bag to let it release most of the CO2, after the 7-15 days open it and put the beans in the vacuumed container .

Thanks for the review. I have been drinking and loving Rasa as an alternative to coffee, and find it even helps to drink it as well on days I choose coffee. I love that blend, but was called to give Mud/wtr a try... so I'm excited to see how it compares.

I recently tried Ryze on the recommendation of someone I met. My husband and I did not want to replace coffee but we did mix the powder into our morning cup. I really like the way it tastes. I think I did notice some digestive benefits from drinking the mushroom based coffee. We blew through our first bag pretty quickly and now I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my next bag.
