Awe Anne - I am so touched to learn how much our 'sweet sixteen' trip to England meant to you. Stonehenge and Avebury were incredible. I believe Avebury made a powerful impression on you - remember they were water divining and you used the dowser! We did take a train from London to Bath and stayed at the lovely Three Abbey Green Guest House. You LOVED that place - you didn't want to leave the pretty little window seat in our garret room overlooking the courtyard. It was like going back in time - very 'Jane Austen'. You are correct that we took a mini-bus tour to Stonehenge, Avebury, and some quaint Cotswold villages, specifically, Lacock and Castle Combe. They were quintessential English villages - soooo picturesque. (They were featured in several films, the original Doctor Doolittle, Pride and Prejudice, and even Harry Potter!). We walked around the villages and had lunch in a local pub. We saw many thatched-roof cottages in the towns and on the ride through the countryside! It was a magical trip. I loved experiencing England with you. It's definitely time to visit again! What do you say??😉 Love you, Auntie Mick❤❤❤

Hi, Anne! Enjoyed your video this week…! Got some knitting done on my Boho Style Mosaic Cardigan (by Irene Lin) while listening to you. Love hearing about the farm, and what you and Caleb are up to. Glad you had a good “haying” season this year. I know how important that is on farms! Just thought I’d share a couple of podcasters I’ve discovered recently that you might enjoy. They are both British ladies, but one is living in France. They are both “stitching” hobbyists, but they also do some knitting. They are also very “thrift” conscious. The names of the podcasts are “Marion’s World” (lives in England), and “k3n - cloth tales” (Kathryn, who lives in France). Both are very interesting to watch, and they both like to chat , too! Love this kind of chatty video❤ so fun to listen to your stories 😊 I’ll watch this again later with my knitting project! Oh, I wanted to ask you, do goats eat paper? In Japan, kids believe that goats eat paper because there’s a nursery rhyme about 2 goats and paper. This song goes that one white goat wrote a letter to black goat friend, but this black goat ate the letter before reading it. So the black one wrote back asking what the letter was about, but then, this time it’s the white one who ate it before reading it😄

I'm so happy you liked this new to me format. It's nice and easy to film when I need a little break. In general goats shouldn't eat paper 😂 (not good for them) but they definitely will try, given the opportunity. I have no idea why they like it. I LOVED hearing this nursery rhyme (I even read your comment to Caleb because it was so cute!) It really captures the essence of goat behavior. They are silly little creatures. Thank you for sharing! I’m all for the knit and chats :) We got 4 sheep in June of this year (3 Jacob and 1 Shetland and I love them so much). In my reading, I found goats and sheep aren’t supposed to eat oak or acorns. But also talked to an angora goat farmer who lets his goats eat a lot of acorns when they fall from his trees, so maybe they have to eat quite a bit? Love the colors of your Halibut! I have yarn to make the cardigan and seeing yours makes me want to cast it on :)

Tasha Tudor books are not as easily found here in Australia 🇦🇺 but I do have a couple of her books including her stunning garden book 📖 our house is called Mudbush as when we moved here that is what was here bush and mud lots of mud there is still some mud but not as much bush thanks for telling us the where your name came from as I have often wondered even the start today I still wondered. How beautiful that you are doing all from your farm in the prayer shawl .it is supposed to be spring here at the moment but someone forget to tell Mother Nature and we have had horrendous weather. Hopefully soon it will start to warm up. I have planted much in the green house in the hopes of getting it into the ground soon.

I have been planning the shawl project for so long and I hope it turns out the way I imagine. The friend I'm making it for is so deserving. I feel terrible for him when he gets itchy like this (it comes and goes) I'm looking forward to digging back into tWWRwtW. It feels like a good autumn/winter read. Have a nice week! 🤎

Great timing with the video! I've had an awful time winding my first ever hank of yarn into a cake (started out fine, but jumped off the laundry basket I was using to hold it and... "yarn barf"!) - managed to save 96 of the 100g, so not too bad. Toying with the idea of needle felting as I got a free kit (daunting!). I always sleep really well when there's a full moon. No idea why. It's strange because I also feel more active when it's shining... Go for writing the book(s). I'll edit for you for free (it's my job!). There's a live cam of Stonehenge that you might be interested in. It also gives times of sunrise and sunset, which is really nice. I liked the knit and chat. Did I like it more than the other videos? That's a mean question! I like the variety you offer, and it always feels like the right kind of video lands at just the right time. Sorry for the novel-length comment!

Oh dear! Dropping a skein while winding is so so frustrating. I'm sorry that happened but happy you were able to salvage most of it. I have done a small amount of needle felting in the past and felt like it was really fun. Not too hard to figure out, the accidentally stabbing yourself is the scariest part hah. That is the sweetest offer ever! I'll keep it in mind if I ever manage to make a book happen. I hope I will!😅 I have seen that livecam! It's so cool. Thank you for suggesting it's a good reminder for me to check it out. Happy you enjoyed I really appreciate your feedback/comments. I hope you have a nice week with no more yarn barf.☺️🤎

I know! He’s so cute. I didn’t notice he was in the frame but then thought it was funny how he was listening so intently. He’s my good friend. 🤎

I like the knit and chat style video. Your sweater is coming along nicely- I have to finish another one before starting my Halibut sweater! I had a book by Tasha Tudor as a child, but can't recall what it was... I was wondering if Phoenix wears a compression garment because of her burns. I also love the dress you are wearing. Did you make it ? I always look forward to your videos. Thank you!

I’m so pleased that you enjoy this style of video. Sometimes it’s nice to just sit and hang out for a little bit. I’m really enjoying the halibut. It’s been a fun and easy knit so far. I had Tasha Tudor children’s books too. The only one I remember was copy of The Secret Garden that was illustrated by her. And yes. She wears the tshirt (not really compression, it’s a regular child’s tshirt, she’s just fluffy 😂lol) to protect her skin where the fur didn’t grow back when the her burns healed. The vet told me that she is more predisposed to skin cancer so she needs to be protected from the sun. We also put baby sunscreen on parts that stick out when we go outside. She’s a good little trooper. Thank you! I didn’t make it. But it’s from Target 😅 For a few seasons they had a great collection of very comfy flowy dresses but I haven’t seen as many recently. I’m always trolling the resale clothes sites for different colors of the ones I have because I love them so much. So happy to have you here! Thank you for watching and I hope you have a great week! 🤎

This was a delightful format and chat. Your sweet cat, though, with his earnest interest in you was stealing the show😊 This particular full moon was truly a magical one. A super moon (closer to the earth than usual), harvest moon (for the time of year), blood moon (for the fact the earth was blocking the sun from shining on it), and also a slight eclipse. NPR on Instagram keep giving me a heads up. I visited the area in Vermont many years ago where Tasha Tudor and saw her home but didn’t tour it. So quaint and bountiful gardens kept up. I just finished up knitting a couple of projects, a cute hedgehog for my youngest grandson-per his request-not fond of the little parts but he’s happy and a collar to dress up one of my linen dresses. My eyes are now on a couple different cardigans. I’m in Minnesota and buy primarily local farm yarn so right now I have some beautiful soft cormo in mind to use. I do enjoy hearing about all your farm activities indoors and out. Thanks for sharing and pick out a cute pumpkin for me. See you next time.

Happy you enjoyed. He’s such a funny cat. Loves to be with us more than anything 😂 It was such a big and magical moon indeed! Sadly I fell asleep too early to see the eclipse. I would love to visit her house! But Vermont is also beautiful all on its own. One time I went with my mom on trip there and have very fond memories. A knitted hedgehog is so cute! Haha I bet the little feet would be quite fiddly though. He’s a lucky little boy. 🤎 A cardigan with your local cormo sounds so cozy and luxurious! I’m sure it will turn out beautifully. I will definitely choose a pumpkin for you! Hope you have a great week! 🤎🎃

Hello Anne, what a lovely cozy knit and chat. I’m lucky to live in a cottage ( thistle it’s name ) in rural middle England but my roof is made with clay tiles. 😊 There’s nothing more beautiful to me than to live along side Mother Nature and the changing seasons. Yes, the Cotswold area is very lovely ❤ The Harvest moon 🌑 on Tuesday was amazing 🥲 Take good care and thank you for your podcasts

Oh I’m so happy you enjoyed! Thistle Cottage sounds like a story book location! I’m sure it’s plenty beautiful and cozy with the clay tile roof. I think that kind of roof is also gorgeous. The moon truly was magnificent. I couldn’t even believe my eyes. Thank you for watching! I hope you have a great week. 🤎
