im planning to change the servo for 104009 what is the spec for this servo so i can change

How do you adjust the height of the body mounts with that kit? They slide up and down. I am thinking screws maybe? I have them mounted OK.

Already got my order (for the CF RTR) in last night (I'm 100% certain that my order was among the first 200). Personally, I feel that Rlaarlo is producing outstanding quality vehicles. The quality of the great majority of their parts is equal to, if not better than, Traxxas & Arrma. Yes, there was a short-term problem with some of the hardened steel parts when the AK-917 was initially released, but that was due to the hardening process they were using, which they had adjusted/corrected within a few months after the problem was discovered. As for using 190mm bodies, the body posts is not the only upgrade that will be needed. Because the current body is slightly wider than traditional 190mm bodies, people will also need the 190mm Conversion Kit, which includes slightly shorter upper & lower suspension arms, as well as slightly shorter links & driveshafts. Without the conversion kit, the wheels/tires will be sticking out from both sides, front & rear. Speaking of upgrade parts, all currently announced parts are already available. But, be aware that several of them are already close to being sold out (at least, for the first production run). My collection of 'Phase 1' upgrade parts (I tend to group my upgrades in "phases") shipped last night (late morning China time).

You can ditch the front receiver box and install a standard size servo.....the standard servo mount will be on the Rlaarlo upgrades catalog eventually. Then you can relocate the receiver to the 2nd box in the back.

Hi I'm new to rc cars and my pinion is stuck to the shaft it's self the grub screw was easy to remove. Would it be safe to use heat to slide the pinion off or could the heat from the shaft break things in the motor. Sorry if it's a stupid question haha. Thanks

IF u leave Wd on tyre for few hours or days does it have increased grip for longer period ?last longer lets say?

How can you solve the fact that when you tighten the wheel nut it stops stopping? And if you tighten the nuts a little, they loosen.

I have thousands of dollars worth of RC Car stuff from Racing the Bloody Things for decades. 1/8 scale mostly. but I have to say that these little rippers are great value for money. absolute junk in a sense, but good junk. cheap junk that works and highly upgradeable junk. It's good junk for the whole family. seriously, buy like 5 or 6 of these for the whole family. My Wife loves them, we race around the lounge room floor LOL with the exact one you are reviewing here. the 284131. the LED's are crazy bright. I can not find the Body Pin Holes when the lights are on because they are so bright. with a little TLC, you can make a really good but cheap hobby with these little cars. There also buggy versions, drift and race. great for keeping that muscle memory alive mid-week when theres no racing.

Is they adjustable on the 124019? Was looking at it and and looks like there's rubber bushings not bolts?

If you put a dab of greese between the shims and pinions they will stay on better while you're trying to reassemble.

Love the commitment to testing of the bumpers....straight into wall testing and jumping into cement wall with a drop...ya literally drove the wheels off what more can we ask. Awesome job im 100% considering these for the wifes 124017 and teens 124019 my only hesitation is that the bumpers might catch each other while racing each other...instead of cars just bouncing off each other and still running having the bumpers tangle up would suck.

Currently there is a metal reinforcement for the chassis that is 8usd and another at 15usd that look good. Maybe they'll solve that problem, I've already bought it and someday I'll asamble it 😂

Is this differential suitable for jjrc car?

Wow that's great battery life. My bicycle gps speedometer has to be charged right before I use it or it won't connect to satellites. Wonder how long the battery lasts on standby. Hah I just saw we have the same bicycle gps, it sucks.

Thank you for the advice.! The rationale for using extenders with larger wheels is that they can sometimes cause steering issues. Extenders are designed to provide extra space so the wheel can turn without contacting the shell.

good tip! i was searching for a tool that does that, also my 1/8 i get so many bent drive shafts and they are expensive!

the motor mount is NOT identical. 184016 mount is thinner and using any mount from 144001 will push against the gear housing, causing the screws from the topplate to the rear diff housing to sheer. if anyone, like me, tries to change their gearing be aware of this and modify the gear housing accordingly, to avoid having to replace several parts later when they come lose or break.

It's really good stuff for the right applications. John, change out the plastic hex's for alloy hex's...wheels spin freely tightened right down. if the nylon/plastic ones are over tightened it's like putting a disc brake on the hub. Consider changing them mate. As good as the Lucas white lithium based grease is, it is not suited for any of the guys who are tuning their diffs. Stick with silicone for this. The reason your white grease is spinning more freely is that you have to take viscosity into account. (cst values) . Yes it will ''' spin '' more freely with lighter fluids, However this is not always a good thing with the larger scale RC's. In saying all that, I hope you understand what angle i'm coming from John. The product is indeed amazing and it has its place. Change all your WLToys hex's to alloy mate, You wont regret the move. Take care John and thank you for your hard work.

How fast it cools down will probably have an affect

I broke arms a lot, then tried the wd40 trick. So far, it has been a lot better, but maybe my driving has improved. who knows? All I know is it makes them look pretty, and probably doesn't do that much either way.

Lol…7:23 7:24 7:31 thats what happened to me with my wltoys 124017 v2 first the tires came off and i lost the lug nut which was a nylon lock thread . Would order one thing or the other waith for few says and then in 5 minutes of driving something else would go wrong. Spent over 450$ the car and parts . Should have bought a branded rc car.

124017, do you think I need washers too? Is it M4 washers? The ist diameter of the bearing is a little bit smaller than yours. Thank you in advance

What if you put the diff on the right side instead of left?

If you end up bending a axle, bend it back, the replacements work but are about 1/8 of an inch shorter than the stock ones so the bolt isnt completely threded onto it

Hey great video John! Question tho, do you own one of the rlaarlo RLR-14025E?? That’s a brushless 1:14 scale truck that’s $199 but discounted to $149.99 same as their new ROG1, that’ll be a more interesting comparison I think as they seem relatively more similar. I noticed you mention rlaarlo not selling the croboll vehicles anymore, I assumed Croboll and amoril to be names Rlaarlo gave a few vehicle models but I could be wrong, when I first went on their website it all says rlaarlo (first time customer this year) but all the review videos I watched prior with the cars were title Croboll something or Amoril amx 12, which I will admit is very confusing. Aside from names tho, just wanted to bring up that this other RLR-14025E truggy they have on their website, I personally think they should bring the price down on this one if they’re vastly different trucks and they want people to buy the ROG1, otherwise if the RLR-14025E was a better more durable truck, for the same price wouldn’t you pick that one?
