keep us updated on the outcome of why the bike decided it didn't want to start.
@icedfusion hi, the bike has never 'not started'. After the dealer looked at the bike and reset the warning light, the bike had been perfect again. I'm now wondering if the fault code was caused by me adding 2 heated vests in conjunction with the heated seat and heated grips being on full power and GPS plugged in? Maybe this was a little too much amps for the bike to cope with. I need to add up the total amp draw and find out how much the bike system can put out!
Yep just go buy a ducati...
Once you get problems it’s hard to trust it
@blowduke that's why I got rid of my b'mer!!
All the stuff you are ordering could you let me know where you are getting it from exhaust etc and price thanks
@waynelander4324 hi, have a look at 'uncle Wang shop', you can download the app. The centre exhaust pipe was just over 50 quid. It's titanium and you can buy the full system off him. We have noticed his prices are creeping up as these bike's become more popular. Ali express also sell lots of the accessories as well. Good luck.
You can buy a brand new v Suzuki v strom 800 for the same money.why by Chinese .
Hi. I've been trying to connect my 525dsx camera for ages. I used, 12345678. I got it somehow connected the first time I tried. But somehow, now when I try and connect again, it keeps saying, check password and try again. I don't think I changed the password. Can you help. Thanks.
I was in Robinson yesterday looking at these bikes they look great and have absolutely everything on them and although they are very well priced i cannot ignore the depreciation that will occur after a few years of owning it.
I've been able to attach a small BT OBDII scanner and read DTCs and monitor systems while running. Did have it throw an engine management system problem, non standard codes. Did not have the burbling or rough run issue though. Cleared the codes, about 750KM ago, no issues since. Feel free to message for more info on the OBD setup. (Device snd App - android based)
@erikflickinger1828 hi, that's interesting, please let me know which scanner you used. Thanks James

Hope you find the fault soon and it’s an easy fix, my guess is they will find the tft unit memory is corrupted.
@Trevster65 hi, thanks. Now no faults showing on the bike and she's running well. Fingers crossed all will be well👍
Is this bike basiclly a old BMW F850 GS as a lot of parts engine/forks/ headset frame and seat look the same
Can you see the stupid speedo in the sunlight😂
Have you done any software updates youself on the bike? Curious to know if you had 4.4 before you took it to Dealer?
@jimbossimrigs7961 hi, yes my bike came with version 4.2 and I did the update to 4.4 myself. The dealer wasn't concerned about the update!
I traded my 2016 z1000sx and love the voge it handles equally as good more comfortable and I totally prefer this bike.they say how silky smooth the Kawasaki gearbox is and I honestly believe the voge is even silkier
@garykendall9426 hi, I agree, the quicksilver on the voge is a lot smoother than my BMW gsa 👍
@jameswalton8532 great bike well built not cheap.they mean business
Too much tech on bikes these days , its like riding an effing laptop. I'd only trust a Japanese bike with all that on it, for now I'll stick with my 1200 bandit and vfr800. Both will last forever.
It looks like the novram is corrupted and loosing parameters like the total mileage.
@@paulgibson490 hi, not sure what 'novram' is??
@jameswalton8532 A novram is a non volatile random access memory where information is written to and should not be erased, this is separate from the part of the memory where the vehicle software is programed to in the electronic control module. I will probably have got this back to front hopefully others will correct me. GB moto had a huge stand at the nec so many different models no wonder they are struggling to support dealers.
James did that middle link pipe come with the new clamps
@@MarkWebb-t6x hi, yes it did👍
In my experience.... In general, you get what you pay for.
Lots of people on RUclips complaining of problems with the BMW 1300’s. I do agree with your point though.
In my experience I see a lot of people complain online about how ridiculously unreliable and vulnerable to theft Range Rovers are, those being cars between £40k to well over £100k. I think in the past you used to "get what you pay for" but nowadays I think "you get what they're able to get away with". It seems few manufacturers take pride in anything over than their profit margins these days.
@stevendavenport364 if this voge gives me half the trouble my BMW gave me ,I'll be happy!
The bike is basically a cb500x and as such should be very reliable and up to many many miles. But this fault is exactly why people are put off from buying chinese bikes. Do you pay another£ 1000 to get the honda? you then get the backup of honda rather than motogb. I know you get all the extras on it but there is a point where the extras out weight the hassle. there is no doubt the chinese have caught up with the japanese and in many ways exceeded them afterall most bike parts and engines. are made in china / india including many models made by so called jap makers. if they could only increase the availability of parts and diagnostics to dealer then the japs would be buggered.
Pleased I bought triumph !
@philipwatson7883 my brothers triumph was built on Pakistan
@jameswalton8532 no it wasn't
@WyreForestBiker Assembly in Pakistan In the past, local companies in Karachi, Pakistan, assembled Triumph motorcycles. These companies included Universal, Polad, and Lotia. Triumph factories Triumph motorcycles are currently made in factories around the world, including two factories in Hinckley, UK, three factories in Chonburi, Thailand, and one in Manaus, Brazil. Great British marque
These bikes (regardless of where there made) are priced cheap because they are cheap bikes, there's no network of dealers that can help if something goes wrong. There's plenty of videos about how the vogue is half the price of the crf but let's see how that helps when your engine management plays up in Morocco. They look the business, they are priced very well but ultimately they are buggy and unfinished with no real practical way of sorting them out in a hurry. On a side note they've done you no favours at all with the mileage reset, unless you declare it every time it goes for an mot (providing it makes it to its 3rd birthday) you're being dishonest.
BMW has the same niggling issues as does KTM. It’s not limited to Chinese bikes.
@oldngreybmx5573 up until this bike I only had BMW GS's, 4 of them. The last one being a GSA TE, top spec 21k bike. In June this year I was on the isle of arran and hit a pot hole on the main road. The suspension didn't like it and put the bike into limp mode. I had to be recovered back to Lancashire and it cost £1400 to have the bike put right. This was after £1600 the year before for the rear suspension that left me stranded in Wales. The argument that anything Chinese is rubbish is folly. I'll take an engine warning light all day long before I go back to established brands. Cheers James
@jameswalton8532 I'm not saying they're rubbish (or Chinese) I'm saying they are unfinished. The crf wouldn't have let you down like the BMW did. My point is the vogues, Benelli, kove ect will be very good for the price but they are cheap because loncin ect are trying to expand faster than they can develop a good machine.
The engine is original BMW. So you have a big dealership wordwirde
One word on this bike. CHINESE!
@glyncoates8253 I understand the snobbery surrounding Chinese branded bikes but it's so naive to mention it when so many established European bikes are built in China.
@@jameswalton8532 Needed to take the front wheel off my wife’s 300 gts vesper guess what on the casting was made in china . So how many components from the iconic Italian 🇮🇹 brand are made in china 🤦♂️
I know this is probably a daft suggestion, but you mentioned the French dealers appear to be more up to date with the software on Voge bikes. Do you think on your next trip to France it maybe worth getting the bike serviced at a French Voge dealer?
I don't think thats a daft suggestion, it's actually a good one, what is daft is that it's even a consideration due to the poor support for these bikes.
@wozza59 I thought about as I was in France last week on it. There's a voge dealer in calais but the ferry times were to early to catch them open.
@@jameswalton8532 I know the RUclipsr ‘Nathan the postman’ rode a brand new Rieju 500 to Spain, where a local Rieju dealer was quite happy to do the 1st service on his bike.

This is one of reasons why I stay with Suzuki's.Give the Chinese a few more years to sort this sort of thing out and they will be very competitive.
Agreed, they are following a current trend of releasing unfinished consumer goods for sale in the hope people buy them, do the r&d for them and update them as they go. In a few years time these bikes will be great but at the moment I'll be sticking with Honda and Yamaha. Motogb are awful, when I made the mistake of buying a new Benelli I had to wait 6 months for a fairing panel that was damaged before I'd buy the bloody thing.
@oldngreybmx5573 I agree, there's going to be teething troubles but at the price point I will bear with them for the foreseeable future. Theses small problems I'm having are nothing compared the trouble I had with my 'flagship' BMW. Is suppose I'm getting a good taste of both ends of the market.
Wouldn't buy Chinese I've looked at the bikes and there still way off Japanese and triumph bikes and then there's the ethical side on top.
On the positive side.....you now have an extremely low mileage bike...🤪 I think its alwys best to wait a year on new release bikes... Allow time for these types of issues to be ironed out.
@nationalinterest1 that's a fair point but I suppose someone's got to be the guinea pig! So far this issue is not big enough to cause me any regrets. Apart from this warning light the bike has been incredible
The app is absolute rubish

One more thing, the bluetooth enable tick is a 4.4 software bug. This will be fixed with a software update.

I’m worried about buying this bike for one reason only. Exactly the problems you’ve been experiencing. We need to go back to the dealership and be confident they understand the product they’ve sold us. Unfortunately even major manufacturers often have dealerships that know very little about the bikes they sell us !! Hope you can find the help you need. 🤞🤞🤞
Thanks. I'm hoping these are just teething troubles' and things will get sorted🤞
I had the same problem as you with the engine. The fuel pump was not working. I opened the fuse box, took the fuse out and put it back in again. The fuel pump worked again. It was like there was a bad contact on the fuse. Good luck, greetings from Serbia
Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try!
Ah, same thing happened with Fantic 500s, bad batch of fuel pumps.
Great video and fabulous roads
Lovely natural skies lol 😂
I do have an issue on TPMS though. Mine is reading max at 46.9 psi. Real pressure is 34. Cant find any way to zero it!?
So. Fuel gauge. Like others I thought it were broke. Turns out it works but it's weird and non-linear. The gauge doesn't go down to next mark until around 100 miles and that is 80% full. Drops again at 125 miles and so on. I've only done 380 miles and consumption is better than 55 mpg (old skool) I think comfort range is 175 and last gasp just over 200!
@robinlarge101 hi, if you haven't done it already, install the 4.4 software upgrade. It makes the fuel gauge follow the consumption more accurately. Cheers James
Thanks for the interesting video, beautiful bit of the country. Are those Puppy Grips you have fitted? I have just ordered them for my 900 and am interested if you cut them to length or just left them as they were? Last question, is your mobile phone mounted on the Ali Express navigation mount? Ride safe and have fun.
@zegrze hi, thanks for the comment. Yes they are the puppy grips and I didn't have to cut them down, I just soaked them in the hottest soapy water I could bear and they go on relatively easily. My phone was temporarily mounted using a fake quad lock but even with the rubber 'shock absorber' used, the phone still shakes too much and this will definitely damage the phone camera. I will now use either the built in navigation system on the bike or maybe mount a sat nav on the accessory bar I fitted. Regards, James
@@jameswalton8532hi James. I’ve only just come across your channel. Re the phone mount and vibrations, have a look at Ultimateaddons. I have an old iPhone mounted in one and it is very secure. It is also rubber lined so absorbs most of the vibrations; I have had no issues with camera damage.
@@jameswalton8532 Hi James, thanks for the reply, my puppies just cleared customs so a good soaking coming up.
