Hi James I bought a 1200 from a dealership 2nd hand not long after I washed it 1 LED failed and was not covered under warranty…so I bit the bullet and paid for a new light@£199 Then the other failed,I kept the 1st set,I found your vid and thought I’d have a go and bingo the pair of failed lights work after drying out and doing the hot glue “thing”,I just wished I’d found your vid first and saved me £400….thanks anyhows👍
Great news, I'm pleased for you. I don't mind using main dealers when I have to, my local one, bowkers in Preston, UK are very good but when you can save a bit of cash like this it's terrific.
Thanks for sharing. How did you unplug the power plug to the light? Is there a catch or lip which needs to be disenagaged somehow, or did you just pull it straight off?
@@fabriziomargaroli4398 hi, if you push a very thin screwdriver between the plug and the outside of the housing it should release a retaining catch which then allows you to pull the plug out. Hope that helps.
I need to remove my fog lamps but finding it difficult to unclip and disconnect them can you tell me where I need to stick the flat screwdriver to disconnect them
Hi, it's difficult to explain, you have to push a very small screwdriver down the side of the plug to release the catch. Sorry if that doesn't help much but get a good light in there and you should see it!
@@jameswalton8532 many thanks for the reply I didn’t need to remove them in the end , the reason I had to remove them was to register bike on Spanish plates but got the engineer to add them onto the COC document and it sailed through the Spanish ITV test after adding them on to the document
Hi! My Right AUX light suddenly did not work after I wash my bike. I didn't use any pressure wash, just water hose it... How did you remove the connectors, I have a hard time trying to remove it... What are the things to look out for? Just the clip terminal?
Hi, I used a small but long, flat head screwdriver, follow the wire down into the plug and you should see where to release the fastening. It's a simple catch, just hard to access. Let me know how you get on, good luck. James
Hi, in the video at the point 3min 43 sec you can see a tiny tab on the outside of the plug. If I remember correctly you have to disengage this tab from its housing using a small thin screwdriver. That should allow you to pull the plug apart. Hope that helps and good luck. Regards James
Hi, I didn't get a reply and I did not pursue it as I managed to dry mine out and got them working again. Maybe try email them yourself at this address, info@clive-group.ru I got a reply from osram in Germany, they would not sell me the bulb, I presume they have a 'understanding' with BMW!!! Good luck👍

Your tip saved me from buying a replacement, thanks.
That's great👍 it's nice to have some feed back. BMW is a great product but if we can save a few 💰💵££ here and there it helps. Regards from England

Hi, don't pull it straight off, use a thin electric style screwdriver to release the tabs at the bottom of the holes you can see👍
Which holes?
