So. Fuel gauge. Like others I thought it were broke. Turns out it works but it's weird and non-linear. The gauge doesn't go down to next mark until around 100 miles and that is 80% full. Drops again at 125 miles and so on. I've only done 380 miles and consumption is better than 55 mpg (old skool) I think comfort range is 175 and last gasp just over 200!

@robinlarge101 hi, if you haven't done it already, install the 4.4 software upgrade. It makes the fuel gauge follow the consumption more accurately. Cheers James

Thanks for the interesting video, beautiful bit of the country.
Are those Puppy Grips you have fitted? I have just ordered them for my 900 and am interested if you cut them to length or just left them as they were?
Last question, is your mobile phone mounted on the Ali Express navigation mount?
    Ride safe and have fun.

@zegrze hi, thanks for the comment. Yes they are the puppy grips and I didn't have to cut them down, I just soaked them in the hottest soapy water I could bear and they go on relatively easily.
My phone was temporarily mounted using a fake quad lock but even with the rubber 'shock absorber' used, the phone still shakes too much and this will definitely damage the phone camera. I will now use either the built in navigation system on the bike or maybe mount a sat nav on the accessory bar I fitted.
      Regards, James

@@jameswalton8532hi James. I’ve only just come across your channel.
Re the phone mount and vibrations, have a look at Ultimateaddons. I have an old iPhone mounted in one and it is very secure. It is also rubber lined so absorbs most of the vibrations; I have had no issues with camera damage.

@@jameswalton8532 Hi James, thanks for the reply, my puppies just cleared customs so a good soaking coming up. I have always had an issue with the thin Euro style grips, I dont have particularly large hands but have always found the wider American grip much better for me.
Looking forwards to a video from you on the navigation decision.

I do have an issue on TPMS though. Mine is reading max at 46.9 psi. Real pressure is 34. Cant find any way to zero it!?

@@pauldobbo hi Paul, go to the village called 'lofthouse' , as you leave the village you will see the road for 'scar house reservoir' on the right. Follow that lane until you reach the dam wall. Ride over the wall and the lane starts immediately on the left. I don't know what the lane is called but you can't miss it, good luck
