I have the same issue the battery connector is bent...I got a replacement from sig they confirmed what is causing this the battery plastic cover... Sig When you get your replacement, do not apply that chem barrier to the optic. It is supposed to go on the slide. With your setup, you don’t even need it since there are no gasses coming through that plate. Putting it on the sight can cause improper seating of the battery in the compartment

Thanks for the vid. I managed to get mine off target by 3in to the right. Not perfect but for 35 bucks it's OK to get used to running a red dot and getting a sight picture with it. Not as easy as it seems. Again for the price it will do till I upgrade.

I have the same grips do you have to cut down the left side throttle tube for sure or is it just cause you have 2 long grips ?

i do the same and turn the right side for it to go down but it wont go any further since I need it down a little more because the dot is still 1.5 inch higher than my physical laser dot.

Hello Brother. I was going to do as you did but I sent my bike for inspection and asked them to pay special attention to the ABS. They washed the entire system with degreaser and isopropyl alcohol and everything started working normally again. I also have a Vrod and I did the bypass, on the rear brake, and it turned out really well. I have problems with the front brake on the Vrod and I will put the bike in for review soon and ask them to do what they did on the Ultra, if everything goes well it will be great but if it doesn't work I will do as you did, I will also put the bypass on the front brake. Life goes on ! Big hug and thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Why in the HELL is this part so expensive in the first place, resulting in having to bypass it? It seems like a pretty simple fluid exchanger type of box. What is so special that justifies the cost? Just so they can gouge people with the repair cost?

Thanks man! This works great and is the cleanest / cheapest fix I've seen yet. No stealership needed. Harley should have re-called this issue decades ago but chose to hang their customers with the cost. NOT A GOOD LOOK HARLEY!
