Going fast ‘cause I’m too impatient to go slow.
Game achievements are fun, but do you know what’s even more fun? Personal achievements. I like to give myself self-imposed challenges in games and then learn how to do those challenges well. Currently going through one in Factorio (Burners Only) along with Factorio speedruns, but I'm open to other games as well. If you have an idea for a silly challenge in a game, just let me know.

Would you look at that, there's nothing to look at. I replaced the entire entities folder with invisible objects, which led to quite a weird run. A great alternative to a blindfolded run for someone without a webcam :)
But don't worry, there's still plenty to see (for real this time) because of Factorio's replay feature. All my mistakes can be highlighted in their full glory for your enjoyment.

Decided to do a Nintendo Switch run. I was very much not accustomed to the controls which lost a lot of time. Could also be done much faster with a smaller base - I just really wanted to the full any% build the first time. Seemed more fun. Get asked how I do this a lot; figured I'd do one with an input overlay. Works well for labs and power. It abuses the fact that max power pole length is shorter than the distance between poles, so you can hold left click the entire time. Yeah I can like and subscribe without a keyboard but what about no mouse? (no keyboard mouse control) lol playing youtube on hard mode these days!
No mouse would be fun but it would effectively just be me externally mapping my keyboard to use the games controller support. With default options I can't craft or research

My personal headcannon for the lore reason behind you not being able to see any of this is that the Factorio engineer hallucinated all of this due to a severe concussion from the crash, so you as the player didn't see any of it and the replay is what the engineer was seeing. And then, escaping the planet was just you finally giving in to starvation as the fish you were eating weren't actually real and you were just scooping up small bits of water
Hallucinations would explain a lot... Especially that random radar... It's been double hallucinated. I like this headcannon
