ATSF 189 7 and 1/2 inch gauge 1.6 scale 2-6-0 Allen Mogul. 7 inches of snow and alot of stack talk. This is the Mogul that thinks it is a Northern. The Redlake Junction Railroad.

Cab ride on my private railroad The Redlake Junction Railroad. The locomotive is a 1 1/2 inch scale Allen 2-6-0. The train is 5 loaded (With Dirt)hopper cars and 4 emty gondolas and a caboose.

Shot in 1987 this is a very short clip of what was most likely the last train or engine to run in the downtown Prescott yard. The engine is on static display at the Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott and was formerly the Congress Arizona Goldmine Railroads 1st engine

    I look forward to this, former Texas steam, locomotive excursion star returning to service. She is one of three of the four surviving examples of the SP MK-5 mikado reside in Texas with the exception of 745 which is in Louisiana undergoing a similar restoration. As for the other two locomotives, sister locomotive 794 is on static display at Sunset Station in San Antonio Texas engine 771 resides in Grapevine, Texas next to the Grapevine Vintage Railroad engine shop

    Actually it's early summer 1997. No dog house on the tender and 1431 crossing had the cantilevers ripped off during the tornado That came through in May of 1997. They repainted the P70's in '96 or '97.

    It's amazing to see how much cedar Park has changed over the years. I almost didn't recognize it cuz the H-E-B ain't there and neither is wild west.

    Merle Haggard famously wrote and performed this song about a ghost train that fell down a ravine and wrecked while trying to send rescue aid to a cave-in 50 years prior and it appears when a cave-in occurs in a nearby mine. Released 1976 on Merle's "My Love Affair with Trains".

      Yes Fridays we went to Austin with steam Sat & Sun to Burnet with steam

      She is going to run again according to the Austin steam train association. They have been working hard on her restoration Their website offers updates on the status the 786 restoration as well as the restoration on Alco RSD15 alligator locomotive number 442.

    Will somebody please tell me why they went with this paint scheme compared to the revival 1989 look? Was it that much cheaper not to have the white trim on 18.

      Because the railroad was inspired by the Frisco 4-8-2 color scheme

      Bob, those days the GCRR had a WP 3 chime from scrapped 2-8-2 329, NYC 6 chime, 4 ATSF 6 chimes, a Star Brass 5 chime from UP, a Chinese 5er, a 14 inch single chime, a Hancock 3er and a CBQ 5er. Correct me if I’m wrong. But there could be more.

      @@nicholasmedovich8691 And if you ask me...... the Star Brass 5 Chime was simply the best whistle that the GCRY had because.... well.... it fitted so well on 4960 when she debuted in 1996. X3

      @@jimmyhook4852 the UP whistle actually went with 18 to COlebrookdale. The whistles left are a star Brass 5er (CBQ copy), Chinese Datong 5 chime, three ATSF 6ers and a NYC 6er (similar to MILW 261s 6 chime)

    My dad helped restore this locomotive, and was on the committee to try to keep the rails in Prescott. I still have quarters from ATSF locomotives running them over when they still ran.

    I remember reading that the moffat road got mikados for their mountain line above what is now the moffat tunnel and they said they still had to use the consolidations because the mikados wouldn't grip, power and size isn't everything
