    Did this and the 3rd break light on yesterday. 30 minute job. I was one of the unfortunate ones (or fortunate,depending on how you look at it) whose cab and bed is fairly snug. So, this fits your Ram... but what about other vehicles with completely different farings? My VW has a **completely** different design. Well... following the Amazon link reveals one thing: They only want people with $50k+ vehicles (note, most are trucks and SUVs = $$$) to use this product. The cheapest sedan was a Camry which is still high mid range cost. All other sedans were Audis, Porche, top end Toyotas (with the same faring as the Camry, thus the inclusion of the 'cheap' Toyota model). Nice to know what they think of middle class users. 👎👎

I do have bags inside of them because I tow and haul a lot, so for any doubters or those like me do not hesitate just throw a air bag setup in and you will be good, does not affect capacities and must have them. Not needed for just non truck driving, but I do find when playing with air pressure for non-towing driving does affect launch and stability, so I usually run it with a very slight rake with 15-20psi in the bags. Running air lift 60818HD black bags currently for the last 6 months, but preferred the red 60818 I had in for 5yrs prior, may swap back in. I put in an airlift wireless setup in the floor cubby with a gauge on the a pillar to monitor at all times.

      There was still a good amount of dielectric grease leftover on the plug boots from where I removed them. Enough so, that I didn't add anymore to it. If it had been bone dry, I definitely would have, always think that's a good idea. I'm not certain on the anti seize, it didn't look like there was anything on them from the factory, and they were in there nice and tight. Had to crank down on them to get them free. I didn't add anything, but I'd need to check more to see what others are doing. Hope that helps some, thanks for watching!

      @RaymondLamb have you had any issues since your upgrade and shudder delete and fan? I do have a question on the tuner can you adjust almost anything? And with the pre loaded tunes will they work with I think the fuel here in iowa is 88 or 89 can't remember but do you think the stock tune in the program will be a huge upgrade with the shudders gone and new fan

    • @RaymondLamb
      @RaymondLamb Месяц назад

      I haven't had any issues at all so far. I did the efan, thermostat, and AGS delete all right at the same time and it's been working perfect, keeps the truck almost dead on 185 all the time. It will creep to 190 every so often. The fan would kick on with the AC on anyway, but during the winter that might have been a problem. Since I've been wanting to do the tune anyway, it was a good reason to go ahead because of the fan. Tuner set it to come on at 192 now. Again, everything is working perfect still. You can adjust a few things; fan settings, tire sizes, turn off MDS and maybe a few others. I could check if you have something specific. They have a MPG tune, 89 & 91 octane tune, some CAI tune, and maybe a few others preloaded. I tried the 91 Octane for a few days and could tell a difference, but not a huge difference. Once I loaded the custom 93 octane and transmission tune it was a totally new truck. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Question I've watched your video multiple times, I was wondering what thinking about drilling two holes in the slite rather than removing them

    • @RaymondLamb
      @RaymondLamb Месяц назад

      Hey thanks for watching! You could, I suppose, but you might risk damaging them and then if you needed to replace or something wasn't working correctly, you'd have to buy new ones to put back in. They might make noise or vibrate too depending on the hole size and position. If you pop a couple out and don't like the results or need to put them back, you'll be able to. But no going back from drilling holes unless you purchase new ones. Hope that helps some, thanks again, take care.

    Hey there ,it's me again.Just put in the electric fan conversion.Simple ,no bleeding knuckles 😂. I seen on another RUclips channel the guy used a allen wrench and stuck the short end in the pulley hole and wedged the long end into the belt tensioner bracket. First time pulling with a big adjustable wrench and pipe and smooth as butter the fan clutch broke free. The rest was so easy and put a 180 thermostat in while I was in there. Fan worked perfect .Will pickup that nice tuner next month.Thanks for the videos and help.

    • @RaymondLamb
      @RaymondLamb Месяц назад

      Hey there, you absolutely do NOT have to buy the extra PCM like I did. You can do it with just the tuner. You can even get the cheaper handheld one if you don't care about the gauges, but they are cool. I just purchased the extra one to have a spare. Hope that helps.

      @RaymondLamb Месяц назад

      Hey, a little late in responding again, but someone else brought up a good point I might not have covered enough. You do have to get an unlocked PCM with the kit, but you don't have to purchase the extra one like I did. It's like a core exchange for a battery or alternator at the parts store. They send you a new unlocked PCM to install and tune, and then you have to send your original one back to them as the core exchange. So you do ultimately have to install one, but you just don't have to pay extra to keep the spare like I did. Hope that makes sense. Not sure if this is how they all do it, but it is with this setup. Just didn't want to mislead you.

      I purchased and used this tuner in this video: ruclips.net/video/ZzhsjGvLd5s/видео.html You can go several different routes. The DiabloSport tuner I used allowed you to customize a few things and not even have to load a performance tune. You could change tire sizes to correct speedometer, change the fan settings, and a few other things. It's a slightly expensive route to go just to be able to change the fan temp though. I will say, this and my other mods have kept the truck about 190 degrees max even sitting still or in traffic or towing in the 95+ degree heat. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

    I recently had to replace these on my 2016 2500. The upper seal had dry rot cracked and leaked. I had an issue installing the new ones where the gap between the cab and bed was not wide enough (mine would not go thru the opening from the inside of the truck), so I took the inflatable bag from my emergency lockout kit that I had bought from Amazon awhile back, placed it between the cab and bed just to the inside of the vent opening, and pumped it up. That gave me the clearance I needed to get the new vents in place.

    • @RaymondLamb
      @RaymondLamb Месяц назад

      Yeah, just the one side. It feeds right into the CAI box and since there's nothing on the driver's side, they didn't make that one work. Might have been nice for some heat extraction or something though. I was really worried about the rain too! I checked it several times after driving in downpours and it was never even close to wet or holding water. I know this is an aftermarket kit and not from Mopar, but it's modeled exactly as the Mopar one, and I have a hard time believing they'd develop it with the possibility of it sucking up water into the engine. But I still hear you and was nervous too about the water. Hope that helps some! Thanks for watching.
