This channel is to share building/ restoring classic cars. I also repair and restore vintage watches. Classic minis and Austin Healey sprites will probably be what most of the car videos will be about. Hopefully this year, we will be able to take the cars to lots of shows and events. Soon, the Cox GTM will be ready to drive around again after having a 10 year nut and bolt bare metal/ fibreglass rebuild.
The cars currently being shown on the channel are a 1959 Austin Healey (frogeye) Sprite in iris blue, a 1963 speedwell mk1 Morris Mini in surf blue with a Webasto sunroof and a 1967/68 Cox GTM that has been the main focus of restoration for the past 10 years. The GTM is in speedwell blue with two white stripes down the centre.

The First Bond Watch | Gruen Precision 510 Restoration
In this video, I repaired this Gruen Precision 510. This is a very similar configuration to the watch worn by Sean Connery in the early James Bond films. The watch required a new 4th wheel as the old one was bent. We managed to source a NOS part from the USA. The balance spring required a lot of work as it had a kink on the section between the stud and where the kerb pins make contact with the balance. It took me around 2 hours and 30 minutes to sort this as I really wanted it to run correctly.

This watch is currently owned by my grandfather. The watch was originally owned by his father and was worn quite a lot. He wore it a lot as his Omega kept stopping as he thought that self winding meant that it would wind itself up even when your not being active. This restoration turned out very well and the accuracy of the watch has turned out to be very good.
