    Is there a multiple ?

      @woodcampercrochetcrafts 4 месяца назад

      I am not sure what you mean?

    • @suebob16
      @suebob16 4 месяца назад

      @@woodcampercrochetcrafts In crochet instructions you will sometimes see a reference to multiples. For example if a stitch pattern requires 12 stitches to complete, it will say to use a multiple of 12. Which means if you wanted to make a larger cloth it could be like 12 x 4 or 12 x 6 to determine how many chains to make for the foundation row to create the size desired and still maintain the stitch pattern. I hope that makes sense.

    • @woodcampercrochetcrafts
      @woodcampercrochetcrafts 4 месяца назад

      @suebob16 thank you! I have been crocheting for 25 years and I am still learning new things, that is what I love about crochet. Thanks so much for taking the time to explain that! I will have to start incorporating that into my patterns.

    The thing nobody mentions when making hot pads with a blend is that it will melt when you set something hot on it or when you touch something that’s too hot it’s dangerous hundred percent cotton or anything in the kitchen

    • @woodcampercrochetcrafts
      @woodcampercrochetcrafts 4 месяца назад

      Thanks, that is a great point. This is not a hot pad though, it is a washcloth or dishcloth but that is good to know.

    • @dianeespinoza8647
      @dianeespinoza8647 4 месяца назад

      100% cotton is not safer by any means Cotton will ignite just as easily that acrylic will melt. Acrylic yarn will melt, liquify at 160* C / 320* F Under normal use 100% acrylic and acrylic cotton blend do nicely using as a pot holder, I have put them in direct contact with a gas flame bbq to test them and they never melted they singed. This isn’t a science test but it confirms the internet info. Most people who use cast iron and stainless steel without stay cool handles usually buy specific and sometimes silicone pot holders. Why is polyester used in a store bought pot holder but not a homemade one?

    • @dianeespinoza8647

      The easiest way to decrease the size is using a smaller hook or thinner yarn. You can also start with a shorter chain and then remove an equal amount of stitches from each row, balancing them across the beginning and end. For example, if you chain 2 less than remove 1 stitch from the beginning and 1 stitch from the end of each row. Thanks for watching!

    Wouldn't it be the loop on the front of the stich rather than the back? Beautiful stitch though! 😊

    • @woodcampercrochetcrafts
      @woodcampercrochetcrafts 5 месяцев назад

      Hello, the back bump is only accessible when working in rows. If you do a row of single crochet and look at it from the top you can see the front and back loop that you normally work under. If you look behind the stitch you will see the back bump, also referred to as the third loop. This only becomes accessible when you complete the row and turn, then start working in the opposite direction. If you watch my stitch video for "hdc in the 3rd loop" it might help clarify the back bump / third loop. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching. Happy Crocheting

    At the end, you say turn the boot inside out to weave in the ends, but you don't say to turn it back. Which side should be outside? While working, I was thinking it was inside out, but now I'm confused.

      When you are all finished the good side is facing out. Turn the booties inside out, pull your ends to the inside and weave them in. When you are all done weaving in your ends turn the bootie right side out again. Hope that helps.
