I got up at 0340 to make my way to the one of Cornwall's more remote (lnd-based) lighthouses. This was the first clear night of 2022 when the galactic core would be visible. Here's a time lapse spanning 9 hours, taken on January 12th, 2022. I've never camped out in January before. It was a truly chilly night, not made any better by me forgetting my sleeping bag. Pendour Cove is a wonderful spot, hidden away in west Cornwall. Its relatively remote location, as well as its lack of a sandy beach, or any easy way down on the rocky foreshore, means that this remains a very quiet and unspoilt corner of Cornwall. @8moments Sorry, I was driving and couldn't type the full msg. I use the Kenko Pro1d Prosofton Clear filter on all my lenses for Milky Way photography. It does exactly the same effect.

@@mattgeorge2112 I have been a little since we've been on lock down. Got a few on the go. 'Piano man' Billy Joel, 'that's life' Sinatra (or more known recently as 'joker' theme) . A few others.. try and add a bit of a jazzy twist to most things . Been listening to a lot of pink floyd and 'the who' lately so having a bit of a go at comfortably numb in my own way. Probably down to how I'm feeling at the moment 🤔😂. No, it's all good mate. Pianos a great instrument. Strong wrist and fingers from playing drums and rock climbing I can imagine would help a lot. Really good stuff matt. I enjoyed listening 👍
