So APR told me that i cant use a catted or catless downpipe on my SQ8 with their tune stage 1 which they only offer because of BIdens BS EPA crap. So how did you get the tune to work with the DP?
It worked just fine. I put the OEM cats back on because it smelled terrible. Otherwise, it works fine. Have you looked at EuroCharged for a stage 2/3? www.eurocharged.com
@ddjslhomebase243 I had a eurocharge tune on my glc 63 and it was insane. The tuner here in Boston won't touch a car anymore if it doesn't have a 400 gesi cat and won't install one unless it's catted. I looked on there website and nothing was listed for a stage 2 . There stage one is 600 hp only when APR and unatronic is around 712 with stage 1

All resonators and both mufflers removed.
will it void your warranty?
Removing exhaust and cats will not void warranty. Tuning does void warranty. These cars have weak alternators with an extended 8 year warranty ($4,000 to replace). I had to pay for a replacement out of my own pocket.

Are you getting much drone or too much low end? I did a muffler delete and its a bit too much low end.
I now deleted the cherry bombs and put the OEM cats back on. Some drone, but not bad at all.
@@ddjslhomebase243 thanks! I have oem downpipes and small front resonators and that’s it. Straight from there back, but I’m getting a bit too much low end and not much more volume, really, than with the muffler. Any tips?
@@JBurroughs17resonators control the tone/dB quite a bit. But they also handle the rasp in the note. Turbos are also quieting down the exhaust too, natural mufflers. Catless downpipes with no resonators plus a decent muffler should be plenty noisey and keep the drone away.
AWE is the way to go with cats delete. Did this on my rs7. Same engine

Something was going on with this. I had blowoff valves installed and they were robbing power for sure.
Did you get a CEL with the DP? How did you get around it?

It’s funny because like try to put it in comfort then switch it back to dynamic it will fix the issue.
Fixed the issue. Had BOVs installed, had to remove. Sounded killer but the system didn’t like venting to atmosphere.

How do you open and close the valves
Deleted the valves on this exhaust. No cats, just straight pipes. I put my cats back on, it was too loud and smelly.

No, generic DP from Alibaba.com. I don’t think APR make catless downpipes anymore.
