Correct, but you can force the cooler on in the Lenovo Vantage app. I have a full video on the liquid cooler you should check out. TLDR; the cooler won't improve gaming performance, but it can lower temp by nearly 10C or more.

Better than a Series S! On par or slightly better than a Series X but don’t quote me on that one as i’m not a console guy! TLDR; this will play games better than your Series S.

I had someone in my discord say they found ways to stretch it but tbh- it shouldn’t be like that. A laptop like this should be able to last you 8 hours of school use without any issue imo but I guess we’ll have to wait a bit longer! Getting closer though.

Do you have long gaming sessions with it? How does it perform during extended play, like 4-5 hours (e.g., BO6 Zombies or similar)? Have you experienced any stuttering or other performance issues during that time?

@@XXIVCONCEPT yeah ive found little tricks to make it last longer but I shouldn’t have to basically turn off all the features that make this laptop great just to get me through 4 hours of school.

@@OGTechh as long as you are plugged in you will not have any issues with longer sessions. Ive been playing bo6 with everything basically cranked and i dont notice my frames dropping lower than 90 fps. The laptop stays relatively cool too however the fans can get a little loud so if you game in a public area just be aware of that.

Look into oled version at second hand market, usually here are decks without any problems, xbox is not as universal as deck, deck is a whole pc when xbox runs games only compatible with it, no emulation, no capabilities for the work, if the lcd version its like really cheap just dont mind and buy it, i guarantee this will be the best choice for you

I think if you have a specific interest in your 360 games you already own, get the Xbox. While a lot of 360 titles are probably on Steam, you’ll be paying extra to buy them again. And while the steam deck is absolutely killer for playing 360 era titles, i’m not sure the value is gonna be there for you in this scenario. However, the Steam Deck imo is a better long term investment. I’d recommend waiting to see if a second version comes out next year before pulling the trigger otherwise, see if you can get one second hand or on sale so you can potentially still get an xbox. Though i’m not so sure how good a 1X is these days. My vote is for the steam deck simply for future proofing and ease of use but it will cost you more up front.

@@lees6307 To an extent. The i9 is great for streaming but since it’s a laptop and only a 4070 you will hit a ceiling at some point. But definitely doable for casual streaming here and there.

Unless you're plugged into a PC and using the Spacewalker app, the screen follows your head. You CAN pin the display, but only using Spacewalker.

Yeah it's definitely a bit pricey. :/ I like that they're a little smaller and more "wearable" in public, but I don't think there's enough there to really justify the price especially given you have Meta Quest.

3.2K screen is a bad idea with a 4070 since that GPU isn’t powerful enough in games to drive that resolution. 1600p is the sweet spot. Intel Core i9 Ultra processor also gets too hot, I just bought a G16 with one and a 4090, but it gets so hot it throttles games down to 3 FPS. CPU temps can get over 90C under load, not especially impressive

@little_fluffy_clouds I don't want to game on 3.2k I would also like 1600 p or min 1440 p for gaming Only I want 3.2k display for programming since I would require a crisp display for programming or it takes away all the fun 😊

The liquid cooler DOES do something, I have a whole video showing that it does. The video absolutely was not sponsored though I am certainly not an engineer nor did I claim to be when evaluating the system so I understand how my lack of negativity in some areas could be construed as me dodging the bad rather was likely due to either a lack of knowledge or a carefully considered choice to omit the information for time sake. The focus of my channel is primarily on user experience and things I (personally) found to be good, bad, or useful. Understandably, this is not the same as a deep dive with tons of numbers and graphs like you may find on other channels. I don’t cover product that way because for the general audience, it’s too hard to follow and is why I usually disclaim that I do not do benchmarks. I try to balance the technical information as best I can based on what I know vs. what I can actually test in house. As a 1-man band, I am limited on what I can test and my knowledge is unfortunately going to be limited in some places since I cover a variety of tech products. That’s what comments are helpful for! I do the best with what I have. The goal is to be able to continue to provide what I deem to be the most valuable information on a given product, not to provide ALL the information on a product that’s available and study it to compare it to all other products in the same category. ​@@XXIVCONCEPT Quick answer, nice. But regarding the video about the liquid cooler, the whole video is basically pointless and even if it shows something, it shows that the pump doesn't do anything. From what I saw, you basically repeated what Lenovo said. My point is that you were definitely trying to look good for Lenovo, even if it wasn't sponsored. You shouldn't say something is good if you haven't tested it properly. What happens with this liquid cooler is that, in terms of temperatures, it's basically slightly worse than what the Lenovo Legion 7i has to offer. So no, it's not something good, and it's also another mechanical part that can break, and the biggest drawback I see in this laptop. But to be honest, even if it did break, no one would notice because it's only responsible for cooling the VRAM on the graphics card, and it only makes a difference of less than 1 degree Celsius. All the things I've mentioned are important, they don't need to take up a whole section of the video, but you should mention that they're there. As much as I don't mind other things, there should be a mention of how the fans behave when the laptop is idle, the fact that the laptop doesn't last a couple of hours on battery, but at most 4 hours when idle and around 2 when using it for basic things, the fact that to replace the RAM you have to filp the motherboard, which some of the customers won't be able to do. It's not something you need to test or have knowledge for, it's something you can say from user experience.
