Always be careful using found materials for forging. In this case tools are often coated with chrome, which can give off toxic gas when heated. Today that wasn’t an issue because the tool was so old the chrome plating had worn off and I have very good ventilation in the forge.

It is an interesting shape, not totally sure I like it, but if you do, that is what matters.

@@jimhamlin8671 I hope your son makes himself a hook and drags in a monster with it! If this works for me I’m going to try and see just how small I can manage to make a working hook.

Great profile! Looks great be a good hunting knife
Thanks! It surely should be.
Cool blade
Thank you, sir
Still not sure how I feel about the handle coming so far up from the spine of the knife, but to each their own.
Most of the time I bring the handle down to line it up with the point. That’s makes a blade better for stabbing. But once in a while I’ll leave one up like this and when I do they tend to sell pretty quick. It’s still not something I’m going to make a habit of doing though.
I make pocket knives all the time, hate making them but they sell well.
If you mean folding pocket knives, yeah I’ve made a few and they are a gigantic pain in the neck.
I like your hand forged products. I love making Bowie’s one of my favorite knives. Great job on it, thanks for sharing
Thank you very much. It’s my pleasure
FINE!!!
