They wanted Jesus to perform the same miracles and wonders that he did in Capernaum - they were skeptical of him "Isn't this the son of Joseph?" They couldn't believe he was fulfilling the prophecy he had just read without proof. He tells them no and explains he's being treated poorly at home like the prophets had and how they chose to perform miracles outside of their homes where they were rejected and that he would do the same.

I recently discovered the Psalms of Ascent and it is so interesting. My question is about the '15 steps'. Now, this is a direct reference to Herod's temple and not Solomon's as we don't know about any steps being in Solomon's Temple that I know of. Did these Psalms have the name 'Psalms of Ascent' before those 15 steps were ever produced. With Jerusalem being so high, I was wondering if the ascent had to do with the elevation of the Holy City. Keep shining, studying and sharing. I love it!

I Was Reading Nehemiah 1-4 Today And Wanted To See If Some Of It Still Exists.

Joseph’s story is certainly interesting. Actually if he hadn’t gone to jail he wouldn’t have come to the attention of Pharaoh. And without interpreting the dreams of the butler and the steward it’s unlikely that Pharaoh would have had the necessary confidence to believe Joseph’s interpretation of those disturbing dreams of Pharaoh. Also if Pharaoh saw that his top men were going to be upset if he promoted Joseph’s over them it’s unlikely that he would have done it. However they all realised that Joseph was an honest man and that he had been falsely imprisoned. And this realisation allowed them to be merciful towards Joseph who was obviously wise, and they were content to let Joseph rule over them, hence Pharaoh could promote Joseph knowing it wasn’t going to upset his higher echelon by having them ruled over by a slave out of prison.

a beautiful but fabricated story in The Bible and Quran with no archaeological evidence to prove that.
