Our first EXCLUSIVE piece of weekly footage, as we build to the release of Underground Inc. - here's a cut scene! Pepper Keenan (Down / Corrosion Of Conformity) talks about Testament...
Corrosion of Conformity were one those Columbia Records 10 CD's for 99cent bands that you'd kinda listen to once and that's it. Not that they were bad but just didn't really stand out. But being an honest musician who loves playing music deserves full respect. Kudos.
Never even knew it was about homo fellatio!😂
Thumbs up to anyone else who just found out the song Be Aggressive is about homosexual oral sex?!
You have no idea how big chuck Billy is until he's towering over you and shakes your hand and yours disappears up to the wrist lol Dude is a beast. One of the nicest bands I've ever met. Like they fed me beers, let me hang on the bus, listen to skolnick noodle on an acoustic, hung with strippers, then they gave me the interview I was after a long with free tickets and backstage passes for 6. Bruh.
Looking back there is never ever going to be talent and skill again.TayTay is killing US Off.😢
Not trying to sound cheesy or cliche but return to serenity is probably one of the best arranged, composed and written songs I’ve ever heard. It has the sexiest solo in it I’ve ever heard. I can’t believe nothing else matters is more popular. Kills me. Testament is dropping heavy ass shit right now. The last couple albums from front to finish are all bangers.
Testament is my favorite thrash metal band
❤
this is what the people say pepper your awsome bro
I still don’t think the world has caught up to Mike Patton
If your ever in New orleans stop by Pepper's bar on magazine st. le bon temps roule. Cool ass place
Our community is the best
🤘
just be yourself that's what mike is doing the only problem is, some people dont have a personality so yr prbbly fckd love for mike p
Great story
Mike Patton is a singular voice in every single sense of those words. Forza Mike Patton.
So awesome
That's very interesting. Love sings bore him too. Soccer kleet.
Anyone else remember Mike Patton's, "Women are okay, but they're not the real thing", t-shirt?
He means that DOGS are the real thing. That's the unconditional love.
He was referring to masturbation... the real thing.
Its simple and i dont care if is already been said, Mike is genius!
Patton is a genius as far as lead singers of bands go. FNM for ever
It's a shame that most folks only know the song epic and stopped there and I was one of them. A year ago a listened to the the real thing and Epic isn't even the best song on that album. Since then I've had TRT,AD,KFAD,SI and AOTY on rotation almost every day and Mike Patton has become my favourite vocalist of all time, the guy is an enigma and a bona fide genius!
Such an impressing human being
B-E-A GG-R-E-SS-I V E!
It's extremely rare to find a person like Mike a true musician
1 ASSHOLE DOESNT LIKE THIS = BE GLAD YOU ARE NOT THEM
Mike Patton would sing about anything. He didn't care about his dignity when it came to vocals or anything. I guess that would've taken a lot of guts to do that.
I met pepper got a pic he acted like an ass hole the guy can rock like no tomorrow though
'gets bored easily' results in sucking down pearl jam? there's more to it than that. by definition - if you're OK with it, you're down/going down with it.
Roddy wrote the lyrics, not Patton, he sang them. There is a difference.
Skolnick is the closest to Dimebag you can get in the thrash scene, loads of blues, loads of soul
Ricky produced for Faith No More?
Yay, FNM glorifies perversions, what a virtue. How "edgy"
Wait, what? That song's about sucking dick!? Who knew?!
I wouldnt be able to do the er _strange_ stuff 🤢
Mike is top 10 singers of all times period
Most people rank him higher than that. And he definitely has the largest vocal range of any singer in rock n roll VS all singers, comparing all studio recordings. He is without a doubt the most versatile singer in the history of rock music, based on all of his projects.
Mike is all 10 of them ? 😮
Hayeeitus
Itusninnin
Beer cap crimped on his thumb..... Rock and Roll heroes never die.
GAF
The egoism of some is a bit stale.
Perfect 🇬🇧 accent! 🏆😲👍
Patton is an Aquarian. Enough said.
Just another reason to respect Patton👍
Damn I wish I haven’t seen this video. I had no clue what was about. But then again it’s a very good song.
Faith no ..who?
Be Aggressive is a great song lol
F#!@ing gross!!
This interview took a turn I did not expect lmao
Necroing a reply. That is exactly what I said after watching this. 😊
I'm not familiar with Faith No More's material to form a decent opinion, but I have a bootleg of Naked City (John Zorn) with Mike Patton performing with them. I can't think of another singer who would have the chops, imagination, and balls to stand on the stage with those monsters. I never liked his voice on Epic, but I know he's capable of a lot of range, so I imagine I would like at least some of it a lot. I Gave FNM a lot of credit for covering Easy. You'd never expect that one from the Chili Peppers or Pearl Jam.
His voice was a higher octave in most of The Real Thing but his range changed as they produced more music..he just has a wide vocal range. Helpless shows how deeply he can croon... and that's just one example. Midlife Crisis still has him using the higher pitch but Last Cup of Sorrow, Evidence, Ashes to Ashes etc shows another side.
im a massive patton fan but I never ever liked real thing because of his weird nasally voice in that. but everything after 1992 has been great. i really wish they re-did real thing without the nasal vocals. the live gigs where they play some of the songs from that album are so much better in 2009-2010 with pattons matured voice
easily bored or had first hand knowledge of smoking the corn
Patton is a douche
i had a friend who hated that song. he was also homophobic. i guess i never read the lyrics but it seems he certainly did. now it makes a little more sense.
I've always thought "be aggressive" was self-hating homophobia, like "crummy fags" by Electric Eels.
