      I believe the prostocks here are mixed because there still isn't massive interest in it yet. It's still a new category relegated to backyard races.

    Typical prostock setup here in PH Front roller - double plastic rollers (then bend it forward for downthrust) Rear rollers - 2 pairs of 13mm with rubber o-ring (serve as brakes on corners) Motor - either lightdash or hyperdash

    Thank you for the info about that kit with hollow shaft. The most satisfying on prostock is just roller position adjustment, and parts combination u can use does a drastic change on how the cars performs. I do the lower rollers at the tail in front and the upper at the back to counter the course out from lane changer, also we usually dont use the skid bars to adjust the airtime of jumps during slope for it to land exactly at the end of each slope so they would not bounce at highspeed. Hope this helps 😊

    29k but 3.0volts. Whats the rpm in 1.5v?

    • @claredin
      @claredin 2 дня назад

      Don't worry so much about exact numbers at X volts. Measure and compare the speed of different cars on the Tamiya speed checker. Place any car on the roller wheels closest to the LCD readout and measure the speed of the car. Now compare that to another car. Most cars are 24km/h if they are pretty fast. A few can be 25 or 26. Maybe one car in 1,000 can be 27 or 28. One of my cars was 28. I've even seen one car that was 29. That's how you should compare cars. But remember, speed isn't a guarantee to win races, but you can't "teach" speed. :)

    So far I've only seen people use either Torque or Light Dash since this isn't exactly like Tuned or BMAX where you have brakes and dampers Also any of the Advanced Kits can't be used except for the Car, Motor and Rollers(I think the advance kits use the box stock rollers but correct me if I'm wrong). Not sure about Hollow Shafts though, never used them in Prostock since I'm also new to Prostock(I'm also from the Philippines lol)

    How/where did you cut the car catcher for your poly cowl?

    • @claredin
      @claredin 4 дня назад

      You'll have to study the video for the exact shape, but I encourage you not to be bound by the shape I made. You might find by happy accident a shape that might work better for you. Start with a basic triangle with the side dampers on two corners and attaching the tip of the triangle to the front posts of the car and shape the car catcher material around the cowl you are using.

    Hi, im in the process of collecting parts for this build question is, is it ok not to start with carbon parts? Does it affect it? Also, does 2x front stay, the same measurements with the front stay at the front part of your build? Front is 2022 and rear is 2023, they are same right?

    • @claredin
      @claredin 5 дней назад

      Yes, it's perfectly acceptable to start with FRP plates. In fact, many racers prefer FRP over carbon as it offers a little flex. Not everything has to be stiff and rigid in an anchor or pivot. Yes, they are the same, just different years they were released.

    Thank you for the tips! I have a few questions as a newbie, hope you can answer them please 😊 1. Is it normal for the rollers to wobble a little? I've tightened the screw to the point I don't see the screws going down further and stopped, as I'm afraid of stripping the thread. 2. Can we replace the super glue method with loctite? 3. Once we've inserted the wheels or rollers, is it ok to remove them and redo? Will it loosen the threads/hole and become less usable?

    • @claredin
      @claredin 7 дней назад

      Good questions! 1. Yes, it's normal. There's always a little bit of give with the rollers so there will be wobble, however slight. 2. Yes, you can use any glue you want so long as it dries properly. 3. Yes, repeated tightening and loosening of the screws that hold the rollers will weaken the threads/hole and make your car less stable. A tiny drop of superglue in the hole before you reinsert the screw should help.
