That was deff a defective servo its like all of sudden it hit a wall and down, that servo went beyond its settings and just down..the plane prob cost HH $50 to $60 tops. I had issues with some planes and I refused to pay to ship back and to have it replaced or repaired and they argued with me but I won in the end. Btw gave you a like and sub and thanks for sharing👍👍👍👍👍

i have one and love it . i got a carbon cub s2 to get back into planes after 15 years then got the SUS.. its amazing

Once on my carbon cub 52” the rudder servo control arm broke resulting in a full right rudder induced stall spin from about fifty feet. But zero throttle and grass field allowed for repair and several successful flights since and new control arm has her flying again.

I'm sorry, it hurt my heart. I have one, I haven't had my maiden flight yet, but now that I've seen that the servo can have problems, I intend to replace all of them with a good quality metal one.

You should think that crosswinds wouldn't affect a stick plane, since there is less material for the wind to push? Maybe it is because of the big rudder?

Servo glitched for sure. I have had servo problems with a couple of foam planes and as I like the bigger models (6 cell) I now fit quality servo's before the first flight.

I had a simular problem with my Piper Cherokee, except the problem was with the aileron. Upon inspection it wasn't a servo problem. The reciever was defective. I've had many similar experiences with Spektrum electonics. Fortunately, most of the time these problems have presented themselves during the pre-flight inspection.

Over the years I moved away from spending hundreds of dollars on over priced Styrofoam with pre-installed garbage electronics and servos and coming up with my own designs and using foam board and other materials to build them. I've been studying aircraft design and learning as much as I can about all aspects of putting together a good/excellent flying model and it's been beyond rewarding.

Same happened to mine.I had 3 different crashes, first 2 not to severe and plane was repaired plus new servos. I feel that junk servos and the RX was also to blame. Finally junked the plane.

If you didn’t know, that plane and the others from the line were approved later on to fly 4s batteries. I fly my spitfire with 4s now and it adds quite a bit of power.

Fantastic flight. HH has a backorder for the 1.2m p51 its the Cripes. I ordered 2 of them. Definitely enjoyed the video, commentary as well.

I almost bought this since they revamped it, but the Xmas in July sale knocked $50 off the Corsair so I bought it instead since my new field has a rough sandy/grass root runway. If I was still at the old club with a runway I 100% would have got the A-10, it was $100 off but I don't think our runway will work for it, but they're all on my wishlist

HH customer service used to be great but since they bought Tower Hobbies which was their main competitor CS has become not so great and Tower’s CS horrible. It’s sad but I won’t buy from either anymore.

That’s BS Horizon didn’t want to take responsibility for this. Anyone who knows anything about rc airplanes, seeing this video knows that wasn’t pilot error. It couldn’t be more clear. Sorry to hear about that.

Wow I have over 200 flights on my Cherokee and not even had a hard landing with it . I love this plane . I have the old version that’s really old and another one still in the box . But the newest one flies great . I even fly mine with a 4s 4000 battery

Floating on landing, you took off right to left and then landed left to right. Would also note that they are much easier to get on the ground if you don't do your final leg at 200' or whatever above the ground.

And I’ve noticed on the last 3 eflite planes I’ve bought where they have long control rods and tubes for the tail that the rods won’t move freely in the carbon tube I had to use a drill on the control rods on my valiant just to get it out of the tube an work it to where it would move freely

My super timber did the same thing after trimming it up put in safe mode to test hands free and it just fell out of sky 😢 I was pissed first time that’s ever happened

I have had an issue like this before. And now, every time I adjust anything, I always rebind. Not sure where I heard to do that but I have always done it after a crash like yours. And u bet you that they found nothing wrong is because they bound it with a different radio!! Mechanical trim and digital trim is different. And diffstill when a gyro is in the mix

Talk about straight into the ground. That was an electronic malfunction for sure. I hope you get a new one.

That was not pilot error. That was a manufacturer error. They use a plastic gear 4 dollar servo on the elevator and a metal gear servo on the rudder and nose gear. The first thing I do if I purchase an EFlite Bind and Crash is replace every servo with good metal gear servos I have been using for years without a failure. I hope Eflite stand behind the product and replaces it. Cause it flew itself directly down to the crash site. Nice flying site.

I think something went wrong with that crash for sure cause you hardly had anytime to recover from that unless you had safe on a switch sounds like a servo came lose 😢

ARFs and RTFs are a crap shoot. The manufacturers of these planes always seem to instal the cheapest servos they can source. I started in this hobby flying KRAFT and than switched to JR. JR electronics were superior to KRAFT but you still had problems. With the advent of 2.4kz I left 72mhz and purchased SPEKTRUM.

I am so glad to see another Cherokee 1.3m video! There aren't many out there and I love flying my Cherokee too. I've crashed it and broken the wing off hitting a tree in some windy conditions. I lost a prop and hit a foul pole at another field. This plane has done me well and still flies great. I've got a few Cherokee videos out there on my channel. I hope to see more of your Cherokee!
