I have this airplane and can’t say enough good things about it. My field has both grass and a paved runway. I always fly off of the pavement. It is one of the most stable and easy to fly airplanes I ever had. If the cg is right, it is a sweetheart. As far as it having too high of a wing loading, I totally disagree.

Come on man that's fixable easy. We have a grass runway and found that if we put a few washers under the rear screws, We found that war birds work better on grass runways. It moves the the wheels forward and makes it easier to take off.

You need to look up taildragger take-off techniques, because everything you're doing there is wrong. Sorry to be so blunt, but you are just taking the wrong approach in every way.

So many tail dragging warbirds struggle with grass. To be usable they need to be small enough for hand launch/belly land or else big enough to cope with grass. If its too big to hand launch and too small to cope with grass then you need a tarmac runway.

You also need a bigger battery for nose weight. 3200 -4000 4s. Warbirds like the nose weight.

Why would you not put a six channel receiver to get rid of the gear. This is a great plane. I think you’re not set up right. I have dozens of flights on mine. Love it

E Flite airplanes fly very well. Unfortunately Their landing gear across the board ABSOLUTELY SUCKS. Horrible that they make dreadful to land your airplane. I put a Carbon Fiber rod between both legs. Widened the stance 2" on each side. Put Timber X Wheels on it and made a 4 point Wire connection to elemnate any flexing. The way old Biplanes wire their wings together for lightweight strength. Also installed Real real landing gear. All slightly heaver, but I'm using it as a Bush Plane.

The paint job is th e only thing i dont like about it. Looks cool besides that.

Replace the existing battery with a 250 - 300mah , high discharge obviously . The original is 5 grams 250 7g and 300 9g . Flies much better though not necessarily easier cause you're still trying to control every pilots nightmare scenario ...

Are you flying a 2200 MAH battery? Wondering if it can carry 3000 mAh which is 2 oz heavier, looking for Max flight time.. 6 min is just not doable😅
