they sound poopy tbh. I'd go with a Marshall DSL1HR 1W over those any day. A bit more expensive but at least you get a usable tone and not a coaster.

Bought one, had it now for 2 weeks, and I’m just going to say it: The Moxie is the best tube screamer ever made. Own an original TS10, a couple of TS9s and a Keely modded 808. The Wampler is flat out better sounding and FEELING than all of them. Right out of the box, it’s just the most perfect tube screamer ever made.

Is this better at the start of the chain or can it be used after gain pedals and before modulation? Any help gratefully received.

I just found this video while researching the chug pedal. I’ve never understood the hate for the metalzone. If you can dial it in then it sounds pretty cool. I guess because it’s so easy for it to sound bad. Ha. Anyway, the apex sounded terrible to me. The chug and Revv were great but it sounds like the REVV is more my thing. Great video!

The Centavo sounded kinda overdone in my opinion. Just "meh". There are way a lot more accurate Klones out there.

Here Australia tc cost $ 154 & more it 250 up 350 if it's on special. This blood. Inflation. Us guitar guy get rip of ah ah if buy strymon oooh $500 to 700. S/hand better .

Dazed and Confused sounds more authentic on a Telecaster - the way it was recorded :o) Great playing but neither one sounds like the record. Overall, the 50s is the one that makes me think, "THAT sounds like a Les Paul!" But the neck on the one I tried was too chunky for me 🤷‍♂ Guess I'll stick with my Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson" '59 LP Ltd. Edition as that neck feels perfect to me. It comes with all-Gibson electronics and I did *eight* more mods to make it look and play more like a Gibson. Bought a Gibson Burst Bucker 1 for the neck and moved the BB2 it came with down to the bridge where there had been a BB3 (way too hot for me). Now it's configured like a Standard 50s, but with a neck I love. At the end of the day, I don't care that much what it says on the head stock. YMMV

Yup sounds like a very loud and responsive SS amplifier. Reminds me of the early peavey bandit amps.

Not good tone and Definitely needs better pickups but the build might be better than a Tribute. Probably worth the money for the 59 with custom buckets though I have not heard them either. The Gibson Les Paul Tribute sound really nice and is as much as the Epiphone. The build quality of the tribute is surprisingly bad as I own one and the Gibson standard is much better which I also own. Over all Gibson out of the box sounds good and plays good but the build sucks. Really bad attention to detail even at the 2700 range the quality is still bad. I don’t own any Epiphones right now but have had 3. The 58 reissues from 8-9 years ago were really nice. The low end Gibson is borderline ripoff at 1300. They are too concerned about their custom shop guitars. I love the sound but man very expensive for what you get.

I think most guitars sound similar with that much clipping. But, even then, those pickups seem to have some good note separation/clarity during shred fest. I have a seymour d hb in the neck on a tele and it sounds like I'm playing under a mud puddle compared to that thing. Seems like an extra versatile tele, more than normal.

They both sound good so IMHO I think it's more about the neck shape and the playability. I have a Noventa Tele and my teck set it up so I love it as much as my more expensive guitars.

My thought is a simple swap to orange drop caps on the Epi may pull it more in line with this Gibson, if you like the Gibson tone. Cheap & easy to do.

I have a friend with a $15,000 bicycle that he doesn’t ride I have a friend with a $27,000 motorcycle that he doesn’t ride i have a friend with a Custom Shop Les Paul $5,800 but he can’t even play a chord I can afford a Gibson but honestly I don’t believe they are worth $3,299 I don’t care if the Epiphone has a different finish or different pickups sitting in my living room the Epiphone works fine for me 😐 I know some people think they know better and they think if you don’t play a Gibson you are stupid but I believe the opposite 😎

With proper headphones its very easy to tell the difference. I'm using the Bose QC45 and the difference is very apparent. Now if you had just iphone speakers or computer speakers (not monitors), you probably wouldn't tell the difference.

Got my Epiphone Greeny yesterday... just can't justify that money for the Gibson when the Epiphone is that much less money. The QC on the Epiphone is BETTER than most of my Gibsons. A LOT better.

Yeah well I had the Gibson version, and it SUCKED. Gibson's quality control has gone to Hell. Ad to that Gibson DID NOT make their version historically correct. A real 50's Goldtop HAS A LONG NECK TENON. The Gibby does NOT, the EPI DOES! Being made in Nashville means nothing to me these days, the Epi sounfs just fine through my Plexi.

Funny. I bought a new 60s a couple of years ago from Sweetwater. I watched this wanting to like it better than the 50s lol. But honestly, both sound amazing, just different. For example I thought the 50s "spoke" better on the intro to Dazed and Confused, but liked the 60s better at times also. Thumbs up on a really good video from a new subscriber.

The Lil' RAT has some edge over the normal-sized RAT. Not very much but it's there. The Magus just pales in comparison to the others. It lacks the bottom and the the dirt. It just fizzes out.

A gibson is a gibson. Nothing beats an original gibson

The centavo in all settings was a bit louder. I believe that soon all original centaur pedals will loose the hype and eventually nobody would let to have them. I have WAs centavo, warm drive, warm bender, foxy tone box and mutation phasor. All excellent remakes.
