I’m new to volcas and I’ve been trying to find an answer to how to record songs. I ended up finding a different method than you explain here. I connected the 3.5 mm stereo cable to my computer from my volcas headphone out to my computers headphone in. Then using audacity I was able to change the audio setting host to ‘MME’ and then I was able to record the Volca audio. I’m sure this isn’t the best set up but for anyone out there struggling with finding free software or not knowing what cables you need try this out for a good solution short term at least.

What if i want to use the td-3's patterns? How do I send start/stop information from the elektron to the td-3? do i turn clock send and program send on and turn transport send off?

I just got mine and I love the sound.

If you press file,collect all and save. Ableton will copy all audio files to the project folder for you and will reference the new location

You can chain up to 16 patterns on the Volca 2. Just press memory and the first and last pattern in your chain...

i dont get the whole quantizing thing. cant i just chop the breaks in audio (/wav) form in the playlist? doesnt it just sound evenly as good? it seems like a lot more work quantizing and midi stuff and i dont see the benefit in doing so?

Hii ! Your videos are very interesting and not boring at all. Do you use sp404mk2 along with push 2 and koala? Do you combine this 3 devices together? Asking because i have push 2 and koala... and i really wanted mk2 sampler 404 but i fell like it is also a bit of GAS... do you feel aquiring a sp404 mk2 for a beginner is a clever choice or maybe to much to handle/non revelant for creative process?
