Thank you for diving into the most painful literature known to men. You opened up a can of worms. But you came back with a treasure trove. Thanx, for being back also.
@@BIGUMAMI spvidz is great. But your production values are top notch, tunes are releasably great, not the usual downtempo sp thing and the tips are usually something not covered by anyone else.
i don't know man the structure, flow, and usefulness of your content along with a healthy sprinkle of entertainment is pretty hard pressed to find content in general for hardware much less the sp404mkII . You are actually underrated man. keep it up @@BIGUMAMI
For me the SP is at it's best when working really destructive and committing to stuff, resampling thru the FX and going at it with a "happy accident" mentality. Working with a more planned approach always feels a bit tedious on that machine unless I want to do basic beat/bassline/chopped sample.
yeah I agree. if I know what I want to make and have a clear idea of everything I just open up Ableton. BUT! I'm telling you, reading the manual to understand the fx controls actually helps a lot lol
That's a really cool use of To Gu Ro. I'm gonna have to try that out now that I'm understanding it more logically, due to your explanation. I wish there would have been some proper envelopes honestly. They might add more fx in firmware, maybe other new features, but I doubt it will be anything that will largely effect the production process on the MK2. I've given up on the prospect of truly efficient standalone production at this point haha.
oh, yes, and to be clear, I don't WANT it to be a standalone all-in-one machine. that's what MPCs are for and I personally don't find them inspiring. at that point I'd rather use my laptop which is always gonna be 200000 times more flexible and powerful. but damn yeah some LFOs and Envelopes would be nice man ahahah
Hii ! Your videos are very interesting and not boring at all. Do you use sp404mk2 along with push 2 and koala? Do you combine this 3 devices together? Asking because i have push 2 and koala... and i really wanted mk2 sampler 404 but i fell like it is also a bit of GAS... do you feel aquiring a sp404 mk2 for a beginner is a clever choice or maybe to much to handle/non revelant for creative process?
Im so glad i sold this unit... sorry but its really a unit that holded me back in creativity. Love to see people use it who love it and gain community with it. But really i wouldent blast their beats on my systems🤣 no hate just a honest opinion.
yeah of course! different strokes for different folks, and obviously I'd lie If i said that making music in a DAW doesn't result in much cleaner, more mixes aha! in fact, I never make a full beat entirely on the 404. to me, it's a springboard to get some ideas down quickly and f around with the FX - at some point I stop and export all tracks to a DAW for mixing anyway...

Hello, how are you? Nice to see something from you again. I thought there would be nothing more here. :)
whasssuuuup! nah, I just need a few months off during the summer as we move to a vacation home where it's harder for me to make videos!
