4:52 that train actually used to run throughout the Ghost Town area and around The Log Flume (Desperado Plunge), through a tunnel and around the Steamin Demon, with the station located right by the Canyon Blaster entrance, but was closed once that ride went in. Canyon Blaster also replaced the Tornado (a haunted house like attraction) and the big warehouse like building still standing used to house an indoor coaster (The Nightmare at Crackaxle Canyon), but closed in 2006 after 7 seasons. If you go on the flume and the back door is open you can see the coaster is no longer standing. It was a rather smooth Jetstar Steel coaster, but with capacity issues that resulted in very lengthy wait times.

What time of the year does the park open?

When we driven by every time it was closed 2023 and 2022

I love this channel so f**king much because of the added food reviews. Also, you bring us the flat rides. I appreciate that. The food reviews though......that is money! The 8 out of 10 food review is iconic and rightfully so. The best one will always be when you went and had a Pulled Pork and said it was a Top Five, of Pulled Pork Sandwiches to never eat or something. Most Underrated Coaster Channel right here folks!!!

When you go to six flags stl u have to ask for a water cup and will the cup at a soda fountain

the comet has a cool history , in 1927 cystal beach got a rollercoaster called the crystal beach cyclone, it was a very intense ride at some parts they had to replace the wood with steel because the supports keep breaking so after 20ish years it closed due to its intensity, it even had a nurse station outside of it because of the amount of injures indured on the ride. so in 1948 it was taken apart and with the same parts they built the Comet and it stayed there untill the park closed, then put into stoarge when in 1997 sixflags bought it and put it into the great escape. these alot more to the story but thats the main part.

The coasters aren't bad, but GIVE ME SOMETHING NEW! Catwoman doesn't count. I'm so happy we have a Mr. Freeze, but we need a standout.

Most of that theming is the original Fiesta Texas design by the original owner USAA. The Rattler original drop hurt people so it was “de-fanged” later

We just moved to the area in March , we are excited to go to this Six Flags! This video is awesome and gave us insight on which rides we should definitely make sure to get on! Thanks for posting this! Also that storm was nuts, it was quite the welcome to our new state! Lol and I have found everyone in MO is very friendly!

Our park use to be nice in the mid 90s early 2000s when I was a kid but it seems like they don’t care. I don’t go to our park anymore. I usually go outside of St. Louis to visit an amusement park.

Haha it makes me wonder if people see all the Batman themed stuff and are like wtf is going on here lol. This was my theme park growing up (lived ~100 miles away and went once every summer) The movie Batman Forever came out and that’s right when they were due for a new ride, so they created The BATMAN ride and it was THE flagship experience there for a while. The pirate ship was right next door so they renamed it The Joker. Then a few years later the movie Batman and Robin came out and it was time for a new coaster… and boom there ya go, the Mr Freeze. I almost feel like when The Boss was opened a couple years later it was somehow incorporated into the theme as well, maybe just in signage. I’m glad the park is still up and running, but watching this shows me that I was there literally in THE heyday in the mid to late 90s as a kid, and it hasn’t really been given the appropriate TLC in the last 20 years or so.

I was there on June 6, 7, and 11th Thunder River still not open. Sign said open in June. I will have to travel 8hr. 20min. in 2 months maybe it will be open then. In all we had a great time.

I’m a season pass member of SIX FLAGS SAINT LOUIS, I’m always at the Chicago one before I ever visit here at home. It’s just that I wanted to go to other parks mainly. Ours is ok but, it would be nice if they would RMC THE BOSS at least or do sumthin if they still plan to have a park here in Midwest. But sometimes I feel that they are gonna let this one go and try to sell it and that why I feel we haven’t been getting the big attractions like Chicago gets. That’s just my opinion though.

This is my home park! So sad you visited on a day where so many things were closed. For someone just visiting once I think the butterfly house is a must see. You'll get random butterflies landing on you and learn all about the different breeds. The Flash Vertical Velocity is an amazing coaster. That inversion is so unique for its coaster type. I'm sure you did research but Vallejo has a 150 ft building limit which is why they had to alter The Flash to have that roll instead of the usual spike. Definitely come back some time when more is open!

Growing up near STL and having never experienced any other parks outside of Six Flags, I always assumed this was a nice park. It wasn’t until I got older and visited parks like Busch Gardens, Universal, and Sea World when I came to the realization of just how dated this park is.
