Videos of my old 2001 6G75 Powered 3rd Gen Mitsubishi Eclipse. I have since sold the car. Now this page will mostly be used for other stuff relevant to either my 64 Belair, 63 C10, our clubs cars, and any projects related to them. Thanks for stopping by!!
250ci inline 6 hopped up dual offy intake.
Made some more adjustments. This vid was taken at running temp after a cruise around the block a few times to test throttle response.

Nice setup. She sounds like a dream. Keep up the good work!
Is that a indycar engine because indycar back in the 1960s they used a offenhauser engine
What a dog...
You should make a video of a cruise around the block! Looks like fun!
I have an in-line 250… I’ll keep an eye out.
Full straight pipe and a muffler?
Your power brakes pulling vaccum from the valve cover?
In this video, yes. It was initial startup. Ended up moving it to a port off the intake, since I was having issues with the th350 not getting enough vacuum. Now I have the trans vac from the valve cover, and power brakes off the manifold, and vacuum advanced teed off the two carbs going to the hei.
Are you running single or split headers?
Cast iron true duals originally from Langdon, Tom Lowe sells them now.
@@alexkollos Can you send me a link? Are u intrested in showing me how you constructed the pipes and so on? Got my hands on a chevy belair 64 with a 230 six, thinking about keeping the sixer because it is unusual in my country to say the least. Greetings from Sweden!
Sounds good man.
Thank you!!!
Wnere where I can get the cams and the manifold intake manifold I have 238-38 waivers
Probably a stupid question but what model are those 2 barrels exactly
Not a dumb question at all they’re actually autolites. Not the ones that come with any kits you see online.
@@alexkollos8810 I've heard that some 2 barrels had something like a vacuum secondary. Are these like that? I'm no expert on 2 barrels.
@@SOU6900 they’re progressive, so basically the further I push the accelerator pedal, the more the butterflies open.
Do you have a carb tuning advice on this setup I have the same setup on a 250 with a th350 and it is running so rich it burns my eyes
What have you done? My idle mix screws are 3/4 turns out. You may need a jet kit.
@@alexkollos8810 I put this setup on in 2013 and all was good but over time I had issues with each carb getting junk in the float valve that it dumped fuel in the block. I have since then rebuilt the carbs. Upgraded to mini HEI. New TH350. The truck is running rich I assume because I smell like fuel everyone I start it now I get popping from each side of the exhaust while it’s idling in park and my race deck flooring has black soot marks from the exhaust. I checked the plugs and just replaced them with AC delco R44XLS and gapped them to .060. Tom Langdon told me the idle mixture screw should be out 5-6 turns. I have tried 2 out-7 out. Seems to run rich always. And I had to adjust the Curb idle screw to get it to idle under load when the truck is in D or R. Thanks for the help
Alex with the linkage disconnect I can screw the idle mixture screw in below 2 and the motor seems to smooth out and stays that way all the way to bottoming them out lightly. Langdon told me if I was at 2 turns out I was starving the carb. But It seem so run better on the lower turns out if this Makes any sense. Currently I’m 5 turns out.

@@AdrianGarcia-cj4ye your idle jets may be too big. Also timing might be a factor.
Just put 3 brand new Daytona carbs on my old school offenhauser triple. Has snappy throttle response but I can’t get it to idle to save my life.
So many people want to V8 swap. Its nice to see these old inlines still surviving. A bit of originality that has been lost. Looks like an awesome setup!!!!
Those “swivels” are called “rod end bearings.”
Que cosas tiene el motor para obtener 220 hp me lo podrias decir por favor...
Love the laugh at the end, some1 in trouble. Lol.
It is defintely a blast to drive. I’ll be redoing my throttle linkage and posting a new video. Been driving it 3 summer with linkage that didn’t even open the secondary’s.
did you run the heat plate underneath the intake?
Nope I’ve found I don’t need it. Others might but I guess I’m lucky.
@@alexkollos Nice! Sweet set up!
Registered six offenders lol
I heard that term on the inliners forum a while back and it stuck with me for some odd reason lol.
*the Long Motor.*
I don't know how I got here but I'm glad I did!! Please make videos of the outside while you are driving !!
Will do!!
Please make more videos of this car please!!!!!
I will try this summer. Covid ruined a lot of planned trips and car shows. Thanks for the comment!!
I was going back with the single barrel Rochester carburetor. Until i get it going and driving. Then do the front brake disk conversion kit. Then I'll spend the money on 12bolts intake manifold with a better flow then those offenhouser manifolds they dont have the sharp 90 degree angle those intakes have. Then spend the 400 for their turbo manifold and then spend the 1600 for the holly efi sniper kit. I know the blow through dual carbs with the offenhouser intake and 12bolt turbo manifold with a RV cam makes 330 on a engine dyno I plan on runing a bit different grind cam and roller rockers possibly chromoly pushrods as well heavier valve springs and have the bottom end fully balanced to get at least 1500 more rpm then 6000 most recommend runing them to. That being said with the better 12bolt manifold and their lump ports cam an rockers the efi kit it should bump it up to around 360 possibly even more depending the fuel I plan on runing and if I want to do meth injection or not. Should be a fun little 67 c10 after all of that. Its crazy how much you can modernize these engines. Why people like pulling the 194 230 250 and 292s out of their truck/car beats me when they can make more hp and be just as reliable as these new turbo trucks and cars right off the lot. With hardly any money in them maybe 5500 at the most just depends on what internals and externals you go with. I have found that the holly efi sniper alone makes a world of a difference with these engines vs a carb setup. Plus they self learn from the tune you program into them.
I like what you're doing with this one. Nice ride
Thanks James. It’s been a fun project with lots more planned. Appreciate the comment.
what headers are you running?
boof studios they were originally Langdons Stovebolt cast manifolds but you can get them in 12bolt.com now.
Sweet set up a horsepower rating???
rory vonbrutt probably nothing crazy. It’s still got a stock head and stock block. I’d estimate 165hp l.
Old School Alex ...Nice job sweet set up
Alex just curious have u had any vapor lock issues with the carb setup and what pump r you using? Thanks!
Scoutprop 13 stock fuel pump, no signs of vapor lock. Fires right up and cruises great once warmed up. Electric chokes wires to constant 12 volt source.
Hi alex toying with doing this upgrade on 64 chevy c20 pickup. Has the big 292. How much was your complete setup?
Scoutprop 13 foruntately i found the entire kit on Facebook, from one of the many inline 6 groups. I want to say it was $700 for the kit. I’ll be doing a video soon hopefully showing the difference between my kit and the one you can get clifford, which is much more pricey.
@@alexkollos Alex did u doing any other work on the motor, cam, head etc? Heard zenith one barrels r also an excellent setup with that offy manifold
Scoutprop 13 not yet. I am planning on a cam and head work. Hopefully next year. I have a 63 c10 I’m working on now that will take priority. I’m leaning towards a lump ported head, full port and polish, and a 268 cam.
What a great build
How the fuck did you fit a turbo on a 3.8? Is there any room in there? About how much money was put into the swap and turbo?
Should've done it in a parking lot
Why did you go non mivec just wondering?
That shot is slow as fuck, my stock Acura is faster than that
01 eclipse GT owner here. It's great
I have a 2000 gt too and hearing the turbo from this I could only imagine 😍
Look up Silvertune 3G and I guarantee you'll love it!
It may have not had the necessary power the owner wanted but at least he has the exhaust to wake up the neighbors if he decides to come home after the party or leave for church the next morning!
There are actually more videos of this car with the turbo on it.. look up Silvertune 3G and it'll be there
Still faster than a civic....
Not really tbh. K20s make 220 easy with fbos and are 500 pounds lighter with better gearing
"it's not going to blow up is it?" "it's an eclipse it might" as an eclipse driver that is the most accurate thing ive ever heard
Tj Isley that's makes me sad I have a 2000 eclipse and seeing any 2g and 3g eclipse that no longer works or crashed breaks my heart 💔 but oh well only so much you can do
3.5? explain this please I'm interested
Terry Greathouse it's bored over
6G74 swapped 3.6L since he overbored it
Is it a floor shifter or column shifter?
for reliability, i'd keep it NA...that's excellent power/torque for a 3000lb daily driver...
Is it full exhaust? Doesn't seem that loud
Any ideas on 04 Montero (Pajero) ECU compatibility with other 6G75 ECUs?
I assume you left the resonator still on there?
Is it non turbo?
where the car... I don't hear a red line... seriously not a one. learn to RUclips. if recording an exhaust make sure there is one limiter bounce and a few good revs and of course start up and idle down.
my stock 04 gts galant is faster!!!!!
What rims are those?
Not bad for a 3G torque was real nice.. My 95 gst with 3in turbo back, cat delete, intake, boost controller 15psi=230whp. $1000 should get me 300whp starting out with a turbo makes life so much easier:)
That's pretty cool. Honestly, cool thing is that now we 3G'ers do 3.8L Mivec swaps and those are now the cream of the crop for builders to make 300hp NA since they respond really well to bolt ons! They can even handle 500whp to the wheels on low boost with a nice big turbo setup on stock internals
Hey anything new? Any new videos?
Jorge Tarraza sold the car 3 years ago...
What mods did you have at this time
ORS350 short ram injen intake, ported and polished throttle body, potted upper and lower intakes, gts cams, headers, full catless exhaust.... probably more but I can’t remember.
