omega isnt BASED on zero. he's in zeros ORIGINAL body.

Two issues I have with Model OX: 1. You can’t obtain it in Easy Mode. 2. Although you can be in Overdrive indefinitely, if you get hit, you lose the effect.

In case anyone wants to play as Ox Model from the beginning. There is a way, but only for PC players. Cheat Engine allows us to unlock everything from the beginning, all collectible, models and upgrades. You can treat this as NG+

It's my favorite Model besides Model P and so much fun to play with

i really wish they made omega an unique sprite different from omega/zero from zero series and different from model zx i aways thought it was kinda lame how omega was just zero on the original zero series so i was disapointed they brought him back like that on the zx

Fun fact: Omega has his own version of the Raging Devil from Street Fighter. He basically approaches you quickly, and if he touches you, you remain in your hurt animation as he proceeds to slash you relentlessly, and finishes with an Ryuuenjin. The move is very powerful, so if it connects, you are dead, however i dont know if that move is a life trigger or he does it in response to your attacks.

I never knew about the buster having extra moves in overdrive.

Man I wish we got a stronger model x that had a variation of overdrive or we could unlock a second buster upgrade in a new game plus

I still miss my MMZ3 GBA Cartridge has D Rank but sadly I sold it somewhere on facebook alongside the semi-broken GBA SP.

since X3 I been saiying "X series needs more than 4 bosses, because otherwise their gimmicks gets un-used". The ride armors on X3 are underused because once you get every single one is almost over. But this could been fixed with a New game + system. Allowing you start with every single upgrade on your fist run.

i wouldnt call it unnecessary, its basically an extra model. This is the kind of thing old games had, that gave you something cool and "unparalleled", but always given either near the end of the game, or after clearing the game. I don't remember if ZX had new game +, i dont think it did so it made me think it was a shame that you couldnt carry it over like in the older Z games.

Model OX is definitely my favorite "secret armor/post-game OP form" in the entire series. Too bad they scrapped it from ZX Advent, would've been pretty fun to break that game apart too. xD Nice video! I'll try some of those tricks next time I get the chance to play ZX.

Omega isnt based on zero. omega is an ai implanted into zero original body. while x took zero ai out to save him from that fate. X as a cyber elf created a physical form for zero now that zero body was chucked out into space.

Model OX was such a disappointment because it's perfect for the challenge you have to overcome, but after you obtain it there's nothing to do!

Yeah but its peak tho. The only downside is that I cant fight Prometheus and Pandora with it other than using an cheatcode. The thing about Model OX is that I color edit the Model to look like MMZ Zero so that I can imagine what his game would look like if the game had a bigger screen size. Also on the side note, I love that they also draw Vent/Aile using the Model OX, kinda cool that they did that. But the problem is that the only way you can see the portrait are the cutscenes before the fight with Serpent.

Another thing most do not realize if you fight omega using model OX he defaults to hard mode, wish OX would give you omega`s 7 hit saber combo

You can combo with the 2 charge shots and the electric wave

Something worth noting too is that model F is unaffected by ice physics so if you hate slipping around during ice stage you can use it.

No matter what people say, Ox is balanced, and seeing it in action made me a maga man fan, so no matter what, ox is balanced

TBH, this is the best thing to do when you cannot mod Mega Man Zero 3 where you play as Omega

I know it's still Zero but isn't it more accurate to say that the fission and rising slash were based on Zero's unlockable moves Megaman X4?

Model Ox is basically just a fun bonus for beating the game. Omega is REALLY fun to practice combos with thanks to his extensive moveset.

A fun fact: The form seemingly was originally meant to return in ZXA, though like with most of the other Biometal copies it wouldn't be a Model X variant but rather would have been obtained from copying Omega directly after a boss fight. Unfortunately, this boss fight was cut at some point during development, likely before they even would have started fleshing out gameplay mechanics for it. If it had made it into the final game, it would likely play much more similarly to Omega's actual moveset, though with some moves exclusive to Grey and others exclusive to Ashe. My own personal speculation is that in place of the overdrive mechanic (which was removed in ZXA) the copied Omega transformation would have had access to Ranbu in addition to just always having the boosted stats, which would make it even more busted than the version playable in the first game.

so here's cursed information I learned about Model Ox I wanna share, 2 main topics firstly: if you perfectly time the input of shinkuujin or Ryuenjin and release it before the move comes out, you can cancel animation of whatever attack you're doing and go back to standing neutral immediately... Effectively, this is Model OX's version of the infamous SDC. This allows for downright Diabolical Combos that can rip apart bosses even harder than OX already can. and secondly: *Rolling slash can combo off of Ryuenjin if you turn off overdrive during Ryuenjin.* When mastered, You can actual do a TOD(touch of death) Combo against Omega by doing the triple slash into Ryuenjin, turning off OD into rolling slash, turn overdrive back on as you land and repeat the combo. Absolutely nuts I tell ya.

OX the model that is the closest thing you can get to a playable omega/boss

I find this form hard to use, because there's so many options available at any time. Due to it being post game I never had any time or reason to learn it naturally. I wish hard mode let you get the model as soon as you've beaten Omega/the linked bosses. You've already beaten the game once and have proven yourself, and beating Omega on hard is an achievement within itself. It would've been so fun to just murder the boss rush with it.
