Anche se nemmeno i più attenti fanatici di rock sono in grado di dare un nome al volto,Nicky Hopkins è probabilmente il più noto session man del rock e il miglior pianista del genere.Nacque nel sud di Londra il 24 febbraio 1944,ex studente della Royal Academy of Music.Il primo gruppo di Hopkins si chiamava Screamin’ Lord Sutch’s Savages,la formazione più tardi avrebbe aumentato il nucleo delle All Stars di Cyril Davies.Questo era il migliore gruppo inglese di rhythm and blues dei primi tempi e i Rolling Stones,nel loro lontano inizio,suonavano come spalla nei loro concerti.Hopkins conservò un ottimo ricordo di questa formazione semileggendaria. I've always struggled to understand how so many people can hate nickelback so much. I have yet to see or hear one thing that is anything but genuine rock star quality music.

Saw them at the Stampede last night and I immediately understand the hate. They have a great catalog of hard rock/metal stuff but never play any of it live. Chad is obsessed with playing wedding songs, their top 40 hits, and melodramatic ballads. The spotify playlist I made of their stuff that I listened to before the show, was better than their actual show.
