Awww! 😃
Hi Mike! Beautiful- fun to ride the cable car. Nice tour around town. Wow, the sleds look fun too! Hope you had a nice holiday - wishing you a Happy 2025. 🎉🎉 Jen
I hope you are all doing well. Happy and blessed New Year to you all.
I absolutely love the Red. This video was great! Thanks for sharing! New sub for sure!
So adorable 😍🦝🦝
How much pressure is that pump set for
Wow, it is like hitting the waterfall lottery. So many! My kind of hike.
So excited to see a new video from you. Beautiful!
Sweet! 😃💙👊
The island looks Beautiful!
Beautiful location. Enjoyed watching the ride up over the orange roof houses. The wicker basket ride down is unique and first time ever seeing this type of transportation. 😅
Marvelous 👍
A really enjoyable video tour -- thank you! I was watching this to preview an upcoming trail outing, and when my pup heard the sandhills, she came running up to me at the computer with her tail wagging and her little stuffed Monty the Mammoth from the IATA! Hi to Raven, and many happy miles to you both!
That's so sweet! Really glad to hear you enjoyed the video and glad to hear about the enthusiasm you and your pup have for the IAT 🙂 Wishing you many happy miles, as well, and feel free to give us a shout if you are around/have any questions about the Waukesha or Washington County segments ✌
😂 Oak Creek is not a suburb! It’s all city.
😂
Awesome vlog series man. Im planning on tackling this in november. Hopefully the leaves look this good then!
Thanks so much for the kind words! It's been tough to see what folks have been going through down there, and I can only imagine what it's like to actually be living through it... I know the trail will eventually be restored, given the great volunteer network down there. I hope you get a chance to see it in its full glory! ✌
Very interesting! Subscribed done New friend here!
It must be beautiful during winter!
So awesome!!! i love the sound of the water!
When did you go? Month? Thanks
Early - Mid October
Ya I won't support Kettle Moraine. Cant even camp there these days. Planted trees is not woods.
There's no peace like spending time with God in his creation!! What beauty and peace. Overwhelming! ❤❤❤
Beautiful area.
I’m brand new to through hiking and I’m planning to the foothills trail in 7 weeks. I will also be using a tent as you, do you ever use a hanging rain fly, like what’s used for a hammock over your tent? I have one, and was thinking of bringing for a second layer of protection on a rainy night, but I’m also trying to cut as much weight from my pack as possible.
Cool! You picked a good time of year 👍 As for your question, I think it really comes down to how comfortable you are with your tent's performance and how bad the weather forecast is... I've found my Big Agnes tent's standard rain fly to be enough to repel water, even in heavy rains. Since I've never really had issues with water getting inside the tent, I haven't seen the need to bring any "extra protection." I think we all tend to "pack our fears" starting out, but as we get more comfortable with our gear and the various circumstances we'll encounter on the trail, we learn what really needs to be in the pack and what can probably stay at home 🙂 Good luck, and I hope you have a great trip!
thank you! excellent video, we can hear everything its wonderful
Thank you for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it.
Cool video so how many miles is this hike?
Thanks! This was actually not a very long hike at all. It's a little over half a mile (.6) across the East Bluff. The Devil's Doorway Trail is only .1, and the Balanced Rock Trail is .4. The Balanced Rock Trail is fairly steep, though, as it goes up the side of the bluff. Here's a link to the park map, which includes trail distances: embed.widencdn.net/pdf/download/widnr/gyjy7p1awb/Devils-Lake_Ice-Age-Trail-Map.pdf?u=lk8nsc&showinbrowser=true
Be really helpful if you mentioned how many miles these hikes are

You guys did great! How heavy were your bags? 30 miles in a day must have drained you guys....suffer any fatigue? Shin splints? Blisters? I ask because I have a rule not to exceed 10 miles in a day or I will start getting some of those symptoms....but recently I did a 12 mile hike that had me doubting my "rule". Thanks for the post...I was there last fall and it is so nice there.....except the rolling hills can be brutal lol
Looks really nice . I’d be going here tomorrow .. so helpful !
Thanks for the feedback! Hope you had a great time!
Oh wow, those were some stunning views! That is crazy those sledges reach 25 miles per hour haha. Great work as always!
Thanks! It was definitely a memorable day... It's fun to imagine the time when these were actually used for regular transportation!
👍
