The calm before the Tours 🫣 | Cancun Day 5 & 6
In this week's video, we kill more time exploring Cancun and its restaurants waiting to go on our scheduled tours. We eat a lot and explore more of the Zona Hotelera (Hotel Zone). This is also the first video in which we see the ocean after being in Cancun for almost a week. Crazy right? I hope you enjoy it!

What is the average age in La Paz? Is it a nice place for let's say a 33 year old expat? Or more suitable for retirement?
This is a great breakdown. Which one is more convenient with young kids?
I mean it definitely would depend on personal preference/lifestyle but I can say that La Paz is generally more “family friendly” and calm. Mazatlán can be quite the party atmosphere, but the whole city isn’t a constant party. Thanks for watching 😊
GO BACK TO USA GENTRIFIER. I cant afford a house
Shi nos gusta sushi 😋
sipi 😊
Oh wow el oceano seve casi al nivel las palapas, 😮😅 muy bonito
Jaja sii no se cual es el nivel normal por allá pero si era muy muy bonita la playa 🥰
Good job on the video. You made the beaches seem more commercialized than I find them. It isn't like people go there to rent banana boats or take boat rides or even to kayak. Mostly, beaches are for family picnics. The city is growing; almost 300,000 people now. The traffic has become horrendous. I hate to drive across town and the bus service is for locals only and crowded (i.e. you need to know your way around). The comment section is very telling. Locals are tired of Gringos. They blame us for the increased costs (double in five years), but a study of economics would prove it isn't the Gringos driving prices. Once you've done the touristy things, La Paz is for retired-like living. Definitely not for the young. The airport is close and other parts of Mexico are cheap. The International airport is two hours away.
Thank you for watching! Haha, yeah, I've noticed that about the beaches. I mean, they do have those things, but I don't think I've ever seen them be used. Maybe the jetskis, but other than that, not really. Like everything in La Paz (except for driving), it's pretty laid-back. The traffic can be scary at times. We don't drive, but Didis are always a fun experience 😅 I can respect that some locals think that way about foreigners because many come here with a vacation mentality but yeah there's more to it than that. I appreciate your feedback
Que se repita 😭😭😭
Jaja a planear el siguiente viaje 🧳

❤ Nice. The idea of God evolved because it enhanced reproduction. That is how evolution works; it does not mean "change," YOU do not evolve, stars cannot evolve, but reproducing things that get Selected For or Filtered Against can evolve, like organisms, cars, software (except monopolies like Windows), and New Improved Tide. Before vaccines, 40% of children died before age 15, so fertility used to be really important The evolved idea of a Male God allowed MEN to create religions to CONTROL WOMEN which enhanced reproductive success = evolution. So now, Christians fund Jews to kill Moslems (the 3 most evolved and successful religions) and The Media calls it a "genocide" in spite of the recent human genome sequencing that proves we are 99.9% identical. It is A RELIGIOUS WAR. WHY? Because the USA's upper middle class invests in 401k retirement plans that invested HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF $$$ in munitions. The only things that separates people are DELUSIONS and if you look that word up, it's "beliefs with no evidence, except religion." LOL Jajajaja Get more education, and you lose religion. I use god. Like a mental health aid. We evolved to believe. Throw salt over your shoulder. But I know it ain't real, and science is a billion times more beautiful, and an "evolving" record of human acheivement against ignorance and easy answers. 😢
❤❤ Beautifully done video. Can't miss when in Coromuel! La Paz has NO CULTURE. I was in Los Cabos when Chente, Vicente Fernandez died and nobody noticed. Baja California Sur listens to Rock in English from the 70s and 80s, from the USA's non-dancing WASP culture, and NO BAR IN LA PAZ HAS A DANCE FLOOR. La Paz (city) had a Festival of Dance and the person teaching Bachata had no idea, leading about forty enthusiastic students into a confusion of weird steps and awkward arm flailings. Maybe he was the mayor's nephew ... Interesting snorkeling in the Bay of Illusion (La Paz is NOT on the Sea of Cortez) but few take advantage of the nearby coral, schools of fish, occasional octopus nest or turtle, and seeing rhe seasonal variation in seaweed, along with the thermocline of cool water around eight feet deep.
Thanks for sharing your perspective!
" La Paz has NO CULTURE." No gringo, you dont know SUDCALIFORNIANO culture. *Educate yourself.
@@GAURON123 I'm 71, been all over Mexico, bilingual, biology & Math degree, have lived in about 10 USA cities, Cancún for a year, Guatemala for six months, and 2 years in La Paz. Reread my post and learn something, instead of spouting ignorant opinion. Meh.
@@markplimsoll I don't care gentrifier Anyways, I'm trilingual and been around Asia, mexico and Europe . As local paceño, with family living here since 1835 I say VISIT LOCAL MUSEUM . MEH PUSHI GRINGO PUÑETAS
@@markplimsoll lol MEH EL GRINGO PUÑETAS There is culture, visit local museum. As local Paceño I can say there is culture, you think all mexico is a mariachi themed park with Mexican stereotypes, classic gringo. Didn't ask for your education but anyways. I'm trilingual and lived in asia parts of mexico and Europe for some time too. You are not the only one going out gentrifier.
Funny European Americans first stole half of Mexico, now they are stealing our beaches. All while they have an anti immigration rhetoric back in the states. I recently went to a Mega in San Jose del Cabo nothing but European Americans!
I miss bowling, the ice skating and the roller skating rings, as well as Game City :’)
Those sound so fun! 😦 I didn’t even know they had that

You are super good 🤩🤩♥️♥️
Thank you honey 😂❤️
Yes as mentioned talk about available tap water.
Yes I understand there are many more aspects to discuss when really considering a city. I wasn’t trying to make a whole guide in this video, it was honestly just my quick opinion. Thank you for watching 🙏
Vamos otra vez 🥹🙏
😊❤️
Love it!
It was a really cute place too 🥰
how much does it cost to live there? like actual numbers?? and is it easy to find something less expensive if you are not fluent in Spanish?
It’s honestly really hard to say. There are so many variables as to what your personal cost of living will be and what “expensive” is to you. And about the not being fluent, speaking the native language will always work in your favor. 😅 Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
Hello, Alexa! Greetings from Guadalajara. This city, can be fun (the nightlife is amazing) but I honestly don’t like the chaos, and the negativity, of the big city. So, I’m also looking for a smaller place. I’m also bilingual. Are there a lot of job opportunities in La Paz? I’d like to know. This city seems like a beautiful-quieter place to live. On a different subject, I’d like to say that I give you credit for being sensitive to adjusting to the culture, in general, and for not “gentrifying.” Many other bloggers don’t care (They just want views and subscribers). All the same. Thanks for this video. Subscribed. 👍🙋🏻♂️
Thanks for watching! I honestly can’t speak to that as I haven’t pursued employment here. I do know there is a certain negative perception of foreigners taking local opportunities from the locals as opposed to working remotely. But honestly you’d just have to look into it ahead of time. Thank you for your kind words! 😊
Thanks Alexa! Enjoyed the video and drone shots!
Thanks for watching! I definitely need to get a drone for myself haha it adds to the videos 😊
Is this town near El Grullo Jalisco???
Not really 😅 they’re about 8 hours away from each other. La Noria is a small town outside of Mazatlán, Sinaloa
Great video! Looks like a fun trip :)
It was so fun! 🥰 I wanna go back hahaha
Ya Regresaaaa 😭😭😭😭
🥺 espero que pronto amor ❤️
Well done! I love the drone shots and of course seeing you❤
@HeartandHomesteadwithDawn Thanks! 😊 The drone definitely adds to the videos
I loved this so much!! 🥰 What a wonderful birthday!!! 💖
Me too! He’s back to flying for his commercial hours too! I’m so proud of him 🥰
@@adventureswith_alexa That's awesome!! 😎
😂 You guys are so cute and HILARIOUS!! 💕
Thank you 😂 That was a fun day
Hey! Thanks for making this video, im a La Paz citizen, born and raised here, im glad that you enjoy our home and are able to make cons and pros, just want to make a quick feedback, local we honestly hate the name "sea of cortes" thats a very popular and internacional name of our sea (thanks to jacques Costue), but its not something that we apreciate, actually the REAL NAME is "Golfo de California" or "California's Gofl". Here is the reason, Cortes was an historical and conquers character, and as you may think we have some historic with him, its like our toxic ex hahahaha we cant forget about it but that doesnt mean he own our sea.
Thanks for watching! Oh!! I had no idea about that history 😯 I’ll have to do some more research on this city haha but thank you for letting me know 🙏
@@adventureswith_alexa thanks for respond! It's ok don't worry, all the Américas have been trough the struggles of the european conquers in the XVII century and some of us we still are figthing in our socities with the consecuencias of it. Example USA and all the racism or here in México with all the classism. Cortes wasnt a villain, it was just a conquer in that time, but that doesnt mean that he own our sea, like the implaides. Thankyou for You interest and respect of our land, I Will suscribe :)
@@adventureswith_alexa It is official, Mexico will no longer use "sea of Cortez" for the Sea of California.
Gane ☺️
😅 em don’t think so jajaja
Ah you are back
Yes I was 🙂
You forgot to mention that there's not enough water for everybody, I live in centro and haven't got water for the last month at least
Yes that’s an aspect I didn’t cover in this quick and simple video. This wasn’t intended to be a full guide about moving to La Paz. It was just my opinion about some things. However there are tons of variables that affect the water issue. I’m sorry to hear that!
@EstrellaReynoso haven’t got enough water to drink or to bathe and for the house? If so how do they bathe?
We live in centro and get water every four days for 7 hours. It's enough, but when they miss a day due to repairs it can get a bit tough. I'm surprised that you had a month without water. I don't think we've ever gone more than 12 days. We can always spend about 600 pesos for a water truck if we run out.
😍 I want to try it!
I want to go back and bring a lifetime supply 😂
@@adventureswith_alexa 🤣👏
How is the la paz weather compared to el paso weather?
It’s dryer in La Paz getting less rain overall than El Paso in general. At times, it feels more humid because of the proximity to the ocean. But definitely a desert climate like El Paso.
@@adventureswith_alexa Illogical. "Feels more humid because of proximity of water." It feels exactly like West Texas because the air holds no water. (From Del Rio)
Which influences do you have??? 👀
Haha certain connections 🤭
You too cute to be out unprotected
