I got to the Lickey Bank 2 and a half hours before the Earl passed because of how popular the Lickey Bank is. That’s an extremely heavy load up the Lickey, especially for a loco only recently back in service, surprised to see the 57 wasn’t giving it a helping hand

It's always the problem filming in the station. I got lucky as I realised she was coming down 3/4 instead of 5 and managed to get along 4 for a more open view. The departure back to Birmingham sounded great
I know it is tough at York because of last minute platform changes and people standing in your way.

James, Over in a flash on the Lickey such was the amount of assistance. Langley is notorious for slow running as the crews have difficulty sighting the signal at the level crossing plus the Castles have speed restrictions imposed at many of the UK's stations. Regards, John

@@James_Trains what's the point in that title then? Watching the trains operating in this video without that title one wouldn't even notice any delays or problems, vid came across as a lovely pleasant day out watching heritage trains run by 🤷🏻♂️

They also remembered need replaced by Heritage Diesel services because due to high risk of lineside fires from steam locomotive being suspended until short notice, sometimes do on severn valley railway are big massive blaze sometimes 🔥🔥🚂
@@williamtacey7770 the Severn Valley Railway won’t run Diesels only unless the Council advises then to or there’s a steam ban.
When my dad was a lad in the 40s, the steamers regularly caused lineside fires. All the villagers would have to attend to the fire, before it spread to the timber yard.
