    What a great video. Detailed explanation including the shim needed to adjust the seat post to spec. Well done. I have an AGS brand slightly different in design also sold by Aventon and it works exactly the same way. Thank you for making this video. Couldn't find another even from the manufacturer to help and in instructions that come with the post are useless unless you are into pain. Worked for me. Muchas gracias!

    Thanks for the How-To. I just ordered this post earlier today and was wondering about installation. You broke it down perfectly for me. I bought the 30.9mm but that's because I ordered before I saw your video, otherwise I would have ordered the shim and the other size post.       That's probably something you need to decide for yourself. It could vary by person, and just depends. I did our purchase used bikes for my parents and there were over 200 miles on them, but it was $500 off each. So yeah it depends I guess on you.

    Bought the level.2 for my wife, raised and changed the handle bars to swept back style. Also switched out the seat to a Cloud 9. So now it’s sort of a pace/level bike with a slightly better derailleur and front suspension. With these mods, my wife LOVES her bike. Plus it’s pink!

    Hi. Thanks for the video. I had a question about loading the baby. Would I need a bike with a kick stand to load the baby onto the seat? I’m thinking of buying one of these for a canyon grail and was thinking if it would be hard balancing the baby and the bike at the same time

      I don't use the kickstand when putting our chicken in this. The kickstand makes the bike lean over, and the weight of the child would literally make it fall. As you place your child in, it's pretty intuitive to keep the bike upright as you do it.

    Question: behind where the two pieces of metal are fixed with screws. In my bike frame which is oval shaped, the two lower screws are not able to make the u shaped bridge, come close to the tube. Do you think is wrong?

    If you just using it to commute step through style...everytime. If you plan to take it off road on bike trails having the light weight + strength in one bike step over style is the way to go.

    Especially for older riders or those with some issues - with hands, wrists, neck or back, the comfort bike geometry can improve comfort while riding significantly. The Pace 500.3 has those high, swept-back handlebars to address the above, plus the step-though model has a generous space to swing your leg through while mounting for those with limited range of motion or balance problems. I also added a Specialized comfort bike saddle and a suspension seatpost. Love this bike.

    Local bike shops ( “dealers”) are normally the best bet. They employ local folks, they assemble, they have parts and service and they are always (in my experience) terrific people. Count me in for “local’ whenever possible.

      I don't think I would call it wobbly. It bounces up and down, but I think that's a feature rather than bug?

    My experience buying a Aventon Pace 500 3 was anything but smooth and calling Aventon customer service took 2 calls totaling 1 hr. 30 minutes! I paid over 19k out the door for the bike and am still waiting for it after 11 business days. Seems like a good bike IF I CAN GET IT!

    Very informative. Do you know the exact inside width of the u-bolts? It says 3 inches on Amazon but my crossbars are 3 1/8 inches wide. Hoping they come a little wider than advertised so it will fit my cross bars.

    Your comparison is very helpful as I noted in previous comment. After testing both a step over and a step through., I do like the step over model but ultimately decided to go with the step through. I'm not getting any younger so not having to swing my leg over the saddle is appealing. I'll have to get the extra bar to use with my hitch rack and while I don't really want the water bottle up by my handlebars, I'll get used to it. Thanks again for a good comparison.

    You can order online and have them ship to your dealer who will put the bike together. Memorial Day sale for Pace 500.3 online saved $300 plus provided free extra battery (around $599). Fee to ship to dealer was around $150.

    This was very helpful however I just learned that the step over is being discontinued and they are getting hard to find as inventory is low. Unfortunately, I'd prefer the step over. I also see they added a gray color to the step through line which to me is better than the 2 existing colors.

    I've been considering the Pace 500.3 so your review was very helpful. I think front suspension is over rated. I've never had a bike with front suspension. Another benefit of the Pace is it is lighter in weight compared to the level. Now I'm off to my LBS for a test ride!

      It's quite similar in a lot of ways. The two differences I can think of are the front shock which I do not think is needed (my wife and I were talking about this on a recent ride, we really don't think it is needed) and the other difference is 7 gears instead of 8.

      Everything about the bike is exactly the same, the handlebars, seat, pedals, so I don't think it affects anything other than getting on and off.

    Guess what....you can also get on a step-through bike from the back if that's what you're used to. So you have two options instead of one with step-through. Comes in handy when you have a rear rack loaded up.

    That black Pace looks badass, and I prefer that streamlined look compared to the chunky Level

      @@nelsonleemiller i actually bought the Level on Facebook because it was only 1000 used, it's great, but I do wonder about the lighter Pace
