Low Passes on Sunset // RC Glider
Total flight time: ~35 minutes
There was absolutely no wind tonight and this actually effected the performance of the glider a lot. The handling was perfect, but it took a lot more effort to gain altitude. Though it was nice to be able to fly it so low and feel so confident with the handling of it. There was about 4-5 times when the motor cut off and it felt like I lost control for about a second before it came back, so I was tempted to call it quits on the first flight. But we decided to try and ignore it and hope it didn't come crashing to the ground, since tonight was technically the last night we could fly (lockdown stage 3 is starting). Luckily we left with 2 flat batteries and a plan...

This is a re-upload because I didn't like the music in the original The weather cleared up nicely tonight, so we took the glider out for a flight. This was the highest I've been, and the footage looks incredible. Next time I want to get some crazy altitude and swoop all the way down like I did around 3:10 during this video. The settings used were mainly 1080p 60fps, Linear (Hypersmooth)

Took the Phoenix 2000 for a fly today. It was a little windy, but mostly constant. I chucked the GoPro on top and tried out a few different angles/settings. So I managed to pop a tyre, and do some mechanical damage to 2 karts, 2 days in a row. Woohoo. But it's okay because I bought a new camera, so I'm happy. So yeah, today was totally free. because i won that monthly challenge thing. So that was cool. The first race was a lot of fun, but the second race got a bit chaotic. There was almost 15 people on the second race and there were far too many yellow lights. Good thing it was free.

Far out its been like a month since I've raced. Its been even longer since I've raced the superkarts, so it was awesome to get back into it today. The weather was pretty okay. Maybe 95% for the track conditions. I finished 2nd in both races by about 0.3s and 0.05 respectively. Cool beans.

I hadn't raced this track for about 2 months, and since then the rules have changed a little. The staff are a lot more strict about the track limits which kinda sucks. No more driving over the red lines. No more times in the 34s :( I haven't been able to go much because of work and other commitments but I'm hoping to go more often now.

Sooooo, there were new beacons installed to the track. And now not only are there more spots to avoid, but they are all 100000x more sensitive. I'm pretty sure they're working on adjustments and everything, but yeah it was pretty disappointing to drive on the 'improved' track. There were a lot of complaints when I went the other day, so I'm sure it wont stay this way for too long.

They didn't have the super karts running today because of the pubic holiday. I wasn't too fussed because we hadn't raced Penrite for 4 months. My PB is in the mid 34s, so I was hoping for a mid to low 36. But I managed to get a mid 35 which was cool.

Sorry about the low quality in the first race. I only realised after lap 10 that the bitrate was super bad in OBS so I had to change it. This was painful to watch
It really needs to be a rule that all females tie their hair up regardless of the plastic covers over the sprocket and chain because Iv'e seen a scalping and it's horrible.
This track really isn't designed well, there is next to no opportunity to overtake and or gain time on sharp corners also those karts run like shit.
Is 33 still possible after the yellow marker installation? I've had two runs at this track and cant seem to get below 35.08

I got a 39 when i was shit scared of driving my first time out ever! Second session, got into the 37s and third did a 36.2. I was losing loads of time on the last part and was not going on the curb at turn 2 🤦🏻♂️
Much braking going on as you enter the chicane before the last corner, or is it more of a tap of the pedal?

Love the vids jimboy but watching this in early 2021 makes me annoyed because Le Mans have put new sensors on the track that prevent you from cutting corner. Which sucks
had go last night 1st time on penrite track in over 6 years and was not a fan of the sensors. got rear ended few times when kart lost power instantly in front of other karts. hits were felt as we were in the superkarts. But end of day had fun
@@CLUBBY261 went again a couple of days ago and they’ve added more sensors and the corner after the start finish line and the last hairpin like one
@@sambacon7418 that back hairpin were they station a staff member at everyone was cutting through the rumble strip's and straight lining the corner in the event we did.

I just went for my first time tonight was good fun. Are all the karts even or is there Curtin ones that have a slight more edge?
billy_92 I’ve been going for about a year now to Le Mans and there are definately some karts that underperform. I’d say about 80% of the karts perform pretty well, and the rest might have small issues like worn tyres for example.

DISCLAIMER: this race took place a while ago when the rules weren’t as strict as they are now. There was no mention of going over red lines, instead we were told we could put 2 wheels on the ripple strips.
Its going to be harder to overtake around the track now, the guy in front just needs to force you onto the beacon whenever you're trying to pass and you're on slow speed for the next half of the lap. I already saw several guys doing it for the new beacon on the left just past the timing bridge, whenever someone was trying to pass on the left. And that beacon seems to slow you down well past the back chicane.
Maybe stay on the track and set a time
I only put 2 wheels on the ripple strips. Didnt cut corners. Ever seen F1?
