@@MarvelousMusic1 hi there, the $2500 is a deposit into my own banking account, it is not a fee. I just have to show I have enough money coming in to support myself and family.
@@LaurenHughesRealtorandInvestor OH OK! I misunderstood. So this deposit needs to be made monthly, or you risk deportation?
@@MarvelousMusic1 not so much deportation, it is just the way my residency works. I want to follow the residency rules, but if i forget, sometimes they don’t care, sometimes i would get a fine.

I did 15 days and was bored after a week, but that's because I didn't have my toys and friends. Once I move, I'll get my boat to fish on daily, my xbox, and I'll eventually make friends. EVERY PLACE is what you make it.
Just visited last week, didn't really get a feel for it in a one day tourist situation, we were looking at spending a couple weeks end of the year. If something were more permanent, it would look like 3-4 months annually, December - March. I'll be watching your videos before asking any questions you may have answered in them. Thanks for doing these videos. We were looking at Belize, but after two cruise attempts to get there and having to sail past it borh times due to weather, maybe thats a sign😅

My take on Roatan; people are friendly, houses are a great value, boats are expensive, fishing is amazing, and roads are improving quickly.
Noticed the two houses you showed me and I fell in love with apparently sold as they are both no longer on the market. They were both good deals.

@@EncouragingWordsForAllofus roatan is part of the bay islands. Most of the development in west bay was from 7 original island families. The large areas of land are still islander owned, however smaller areas are being sold more and more to non native islanders.

Honduras is a new place to show up in my video feed. Google mentions a recent Coupe de Etat, non-drinkable water, and super mosquitos that make anything you have been bitten by before, pale in comparison. Probably have to be brave to buy for the long term..
Well, we are in the Bay Islands, which is off the coast of Honduras. So it is a bit different and the stats aren’t usually for the bay islands but rather the mainland. There was a coupe in 2009, but not since. I drink well water or rain water that I put through a filter, like many places, but 5 gallon jugs of water that can be delivered cost about $2.50 each. For mosquitos, we are an island with lots of vegetation. However, removing standing water around your home makes a huge difference and wearing bug spray at dawn and sunset. No worse or better than other places.

Do you have any videos of a case study of the cost to build or buy a multi family property for long term rentals that shows the possible return on investment? How are the regulations there? Would it be allowed to convert a large single family home into multiple units?
@@LaredoHandyman hi! That is more of a personalized video, that I do help with, but very specific to each project and location. We do these assessments with my clients. Everything is so specific to each property and situation. I could do one on rental expectations during each season of the year.
I think, maybe next year or sooner there will be a Copa Airlines flight from Panama to Roatan to connect to south america, thats what Roatan's mayor says

@@user-ou2jo8oi1s I live in roatan, the bay islands. Land is all over the place but $20k for a 50x50 plot. Acres go for $100k to over $1mil. You can find many lots around $60-150k.
Do you have a website that shows long term rentals and prices?
@@johnnyjarhead0369 we have the ones roatan life manages roatanvacationrentals.com. There is no central website to check them out. Airbnb and vrbo work but those are mostly short term.
