This is such a bad joke of a video. I feel sorry for such people honestly and even sorrier for the car for having to end up with such an owner. I still don’t understand this video, I was thinking you will show some issue with the car but you only talk about your issues with the car, I’m the owner of a 2018 LC, and came from an Audi S5, Maintenance cost is almost the same. Sorry to hear you can’t afford the maintenance cost of the LC. If you still want s reliable car get a toyota corolla that’s and excellent car with a very low maintenance cost. God bless.

I love this car, this is a Lexus, the strongest cars in the world. Nothing goes wrong with Lexus. if you like the car drive it and enjoy it. If you don’t you sell it!!! Strangest video ever. I like to stomp on it. Gas and tires killing me. I got into an accident, my insurance is expensive. Bruh? U clearly couldn’t afford the car in the first place and bad decisions and driving was the rest. I’m in second year of owning 23. No issues w tires…no crashes. I get either 13 mpg or 28ish depending on my driving mood. That’s on me and I knew that going in. U don’t think the story’s the same for any higher end car? Good luck.

To be honest, this car doesn’t depreciate in value by a lot like those M series or R8s! In Canada one of my friend bought this car for $65k (usd) 2018 model. That car was originally priced at $75k in the year 2018. My friend got this car in 2024! After 6 years the car lost only $10k in value! That’s crazy!

Have you heard of winter tires? Not a car for a trip on a snowy day, but it can get around in the winter with the correct rubber.

You could keep this car for 20+ years and get the maximum use out of it. It's a Lexus/Toyota it will be so reliable beyond the warranty. Early 90s Lexus SC400 cars are 30+ years old now and with basic maintenance/repairs are still going strong. The LC500 successor will be much the same.

I think in the longer term this will be a collector's car with high prices. This is peak Toyota quality and reeks of beauty and personality, not to mention that V8. If I could I'd buy one, put a full body PPF and enjoy it on special occasions.

As a PhD in Computer Engineering, my wife and I are finished acquiring the latest cars. We are content with our forever cars: a 2021 Silver AWD Lexus LS 500 (wife's daily driver), a 2020 Army green 4Runner TRD PRO (long-distance trips with the dogs), a 2016 3" lifted blue-pearl TRD Sport Tacoma with a 6' bed with over-sized K02's 4x4 tires (my daily driver) with a custom "barbed-wired" headache rack, and our emerald green 2013 MR2 Convertible (1/2-1 day trips---you can't fit much luggage or souvenirs in a 2 seater). I do minor maintenance---oil changes, replacing oil and air filters, checking the liquids, etc, on all the cars. We are a Toyota family for two reasons: their cars are reliable and have no-frills technology. We considered buying an LC but already have a 2-seater for weekend getaways.

If you live in a winter snow/ice environment, I understand RWD isn't ideal. If I couldn't drive without worry of being stranded, I'd get something else too. Otherwise, your cost of ownership is peanuts. If an oil change is painful at $120, then change yourself in the garage. I haven't been or seen snow or ice in more than 40 years and I couldn't happier about that.
