How To Shoot A Basketball With Rotation
Rotation! Connect the hand, relax the hand and push through the middle of the basketball. If having trouble driving those 2 fingers through the ball on the finish, try touching both index and middle finger to forearm on the follow through (you can't, but it will emphasize the movement we want). I make shooting simple, follow me :)

    Thank you !! I already knew all this but no one was agreeing with me that it’s bad to leave that huge of a gap (ball only touching the tips of your fingers) and that this gap thing was totally overrated.

  • @123-v5s
    @123-v5s 2 дня назад

    It seems like all good shooters naturally get themselves shot ready before taking a shot, while mediocre shooters are hit or miss with their prep. Poor shooters often don’t understand the value of getting shot ready, which makes it harder for them to be consistent. It’s definitely a tough habit for some younger players to break, but it's a big key to becoming more reliable on the court.

    Hey Mike big fan of your videos. I turn my right foot in when I shoot, and push more with my right leg. As a result I have knee pain which I think is an overuse of my right leg in my shot. Any advice on how to even out the push so I can involve my left leg more?

    • @MacLaw3084
      @MacLaw3084 9 дней назад

      True. But your comment is irrelevant to the point. Pros and other high level players put in hours upon hours working on their shooting, so they’re able to be effervescent with a non-traditional form; but that’s not the case for many nba shooters (Joakim Noah or Michael Gilchrist, for example). The basics Mike Dunn teaches are more applicable for most people, including the person learning to shoot or trying to become a decent/better shooter. It would be a mistake to teach someone to shoot like Lamelo or Durant.
