Yep. So familiar. The permanent Duty Crew go to a call, Auxiliaries paged to second pump and get a Code 40 (Stop) message just after getting out of the Station. Happens so often. Lol Gympie is a difficult station to back into too. It's crooked and not in line with the side of the street. I remember having to have a couple goes at backing into the station on a few occasions. The Auxiliary Bravo pump used to be in the larger bay, next to the Permanents Alpha pump and Echo or the ute used to be housed where Bravo is responding from.

Class 1 example of how to not design warning light arrays: nothing in phase, nothing synchronized, only distracting random changing flash patterns and colours (including flashing headlights, ye gods) that inhibit other motorists rapid identification of the motion and even axial location of the moving vehicle. It's a perceptional mess. Excellent livery on the QLD RFS trucks: mainly a solid colour with high chromatic contrast to most backgrounds, good low light visibility and almost no image-breaking patterns or detail, unlike almost all other East Coast services. The only comment I'd make is that their warning light arrays be synchronised as per FRV which has high-impact, easy to track displays, e.g. ruclips.net/video/oh9Lts6gs9A/видео.htmlsi=q9Zqd-bvN8OnA9ab&t=16, and the retrofreflective waist band be wider and without the red, which adds nothing, but can be detrimental under certain viewing conditions.

The Tanker (61 unit) was responding CODE 30 (no lights or serins) as well. All QLD RFS Tankers and Comm's units and any other support vehicles MUST respond CODE 30 and all Fire Appliances (41, 51, 52) can respond with lights and sirens, BUT must obey all traffic laws including speed limits, stopping at red traffic lights and not proceeding untill the lights go green. I certainly disargee with the policy and I believe its the only state/territory with such a stupid poliicy. Its very stressful and upsetting having to sit in heavy traffic waiting for a light to change to green, knowing someones house or livelihood burns away. 🚒

Amazing footage, it's a shame you guys can't run calls on the cherries and berries however. I'm in SA myself and fortunately our SES can run with lights and sirens on straight from the call and to my knowledge it's up to the discretion of the crew leader within a truck if it needs to use lights and sirens or not. Also is there a mandatory turnout uniform in QLD or is it up to the discretion of each member? In SA orange overalls or an orange tunic are mandatory for turnouts.
