Tuvieron que aplaudirle el segundo movimiento jj. No aguantaban más

O…h My…God. As soon as the first note is struck, I am goosebumped…and in 🫢 and the conductor and his orchestra are supremely superb in their own rights❤ Praise The Lord
I beg to differ... THE GREATEST PERFORMANCE in music history is HEIFETZ ofcourse, wherein the second movement is a seduction...a successful one at that! Ferras is interesting and perhaps overly emotional but very good...for GREAT go to THE MASTER... HEIFETZ.
Merci pour le partage, c'est super !
Bravissimo Maestro Ferrás
This is barely believable. The concerto, naturally, was dedicated to Oistrakh. And he totally owned it. His mastery of this can't be forgotten, at least as long as this video is available. Thank you so much. The Passacaglia and Burleska movements are especially beyond belief. Migod! I once heard Oistrakh doing the Tchaikovsky in Toronto, just as amazing. But this is something else again.
this is amazing. 💞
Pure genius
The Best Sibelius violin concerto players are Really=Guila Bustabo(The Queen Tiger!) Viktor Tretjakov(The King Sibelius!) Henrik Szeryng (More powerful than Ferras or Oistrakh!) +Jascha Heifetz(better violin sound than Oistrakh or Ferras!) Itzhak Perlman Myrian Fried! The weakest Sibelius violin concerto players are Really=James Ehnes! Ann Sophie Mutter is so restless and out of rhythmic balance all the time! Mutter never played in the big violin competitions and the reason is no prizes for Mutter! Mutter is famous only because Karajan was her friend! Sarah Chang has thin colorless dry cold violin sound like Black and White tv picture! Chang never played in the big violin competitions and the reason is no prizes for Chang!!
Magnifica interpretazione .
Years ago, This recording was here for me when nothing else was. So grateful for this being here.

@22:45 Breaks my heart ~ this movement is just way too beautiful!
A mixture between a requiem and a brilliant virtous concerto
Zawsze to uwielbiał.
Bravo!!!
In 1935. at age 16, Ginette Neveu achieved worldwide celebrity status when she won the Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition over 180 contestants, including the future virtuoso David Oistrakh, who finished second, and Henri Temianka, who finished third.
Man her bow arm and technique was so perfect! That is one creepy ending to the Chausson Poem.
The bass clarinet part for this is absolutely insane
Bravissimo!!!!!!!!!!!!
Le 3 ème mouvement est indescriptible
Magnificent performance! Thanks for posting! 💐🍒🌷🍦🍇🌹🎻🎶⛄️🦋🥰🍀😀👍

Amazing
THANK GOD! I have been searching for hours THIS masterpiece of a performance that is my personal favourite thing in the world.
Sa iti mananc pula aia cum ai putut sa canti
Much more people should get in touch with this man.
found out about this amazing soloist, and this incredible piece because of twosetviolin. this recording brought me tears I didn't even know I had in me. also such a shame I'm from russ1a and I didn't even know such an amazing violinist was from soviet union. Oistrakh and Shostacovich himself are The people to be proud of and to remember

They dont make them like they used to anymore!! haha 🤣
La legende!

As I said 20+ years ago on RUclips, (all those original comments having been erased), Ferras played without chin or shoulder rest here, and with more musicality than any other violin soloist of his day. This is an example of one pouring out his soul in full public view. No modern soloist can do this.
A stupid remark-useless
But where is the rest of the video?!! Does it exist?!!
