Does it have did with not being calibrated right
I had mine changed but it showing a 226 code why
Did you check your turbo? The sector gear should move from mark to mark freely. Also, there may be a problem with the actuator.
When I try to do this on the same snap on versus mine says “invalid pre-align response from ecu” any answers for that?
Is DEF deleted?
Girl that answers the phone for you guys is pretty rude btw. I was just trying to ask a question and she asked if I had purchased anything from you guys and I said no and she hung up.
i think everyone should take this to court an fine or sue dodge chrylser let the lawyer do something
how did you calibrate from what computor did you use
do we really need to callibrate the actuator?
Ginos gatage says no need to calibrate
Geno's carries an actuator made by City Diesel that does not need to be calibrated. All other actuators new or used need to be calibrated once they have been removed.
Can you work on a mx 13 paccar moter? 2015? And or do you sell them?
Yes, we can rebuild your actuator or we have new ones for sale.
Hello I bought one in ebay and it doesn't nothing whats the help on n it ?
I could hear noise in exhaust , like a chatter. It was the actuator. It would chatter and not spin at times. Noticed it with key on and not running . Not sure what it is doing running. Have the 3 codes
Would u sell me your turbo actuator tester, if so how much? I run a service shop and can’t tell which ones are bad and which ones are not
Thank you 🙏🏽
Buy one from City Diesel, no need to program it.
do i need to calibrate the actuator if I'm only replacing the gaskets . no codes no check engine just a small coolant leak
If you can install the actuator at the same position- calibration is not necessary.
@@avielectronicscorp.1591 thank you
When you say move to the left and you should see half? Can you explain? I want to make sure the sector shaft is aligned before installation. Thank you!!
Awesome instructions thanks for the tip
Thank you.
2017 2500 all stock, I'm on my 3rd actuator. Tow/hauls fine with no problem but at stops/red light the truck would stall. The turbo gets loud and deep then stalls, I can put it in neutral give it a little bit of gas and the truck will clear its self up? Help pls.

u should of told people to drain coolent first now they have coolent in there oil!
Do you have to drain the coolant? If you don’t how much would you loose?
Leaving the bolts loose on the actuator could allow the actuator to move while calibrating
I have an error p003a, you can do it for me and how much it costs. tell me the address and I'll come
Thats was a great video, and well explained. Thank you
Thank you.
Awesome video. I wish I saw this before doing my first actuator yesterday lol. I was wondering if the gear for these actuators are supposed to spin freely or not?
@@avielectronicscorp.1591 okay great because I tried moving the new actuator's gear and it barely moved with my finger. Thanks for the great video. It was very well explained 👍
What happened if you don't calibrate the actuator? Can you take it to someone to just calibrate or does need to be calibrated before driven?
@@pantachapin986 If you don't calibrate the actuator- it'll not move vanes. Boost control and engine brake will not work properlly. Watch our video about calibration procedure. ruclips.net/video/v1UA7FTlvBo/видео.html
Fairly easy job is you have a several thousand dollars Snap-on scan tool lol. Genos garage sells a really nice Billet aluminium one that calibrates itself. No need for a calibration tool
You can rent our calibration tool for $90. avielcorp.com/calibration-tool-for-rent-cost-of-rent-is-80-and-400-refundable-deposit-copy/
@@avielectronicscorp.1591 hmmmmm, interesting. Thanks for that info
How much is it for the new gaskets?
How about a turbo that says it comes with the whole turbo pre-calibrated? I just got a fleece turbo 63 mm vgt , they say it's a drop in .. is that right ?
@@meadquick2421 what is eb and did you buy from Avi?
@@meadquick2421 how much does your alignment tool cost and is it easy to use? Will it work for Cummins isx actuator?
Thanks brother for showing us your knowledge I really appreciate your help
Can you share what’s included in this rebuilding kit ?
Rebuild procedure includes overhaul actuator. There is no kit. You should have special equipment to rebuild actuators.
Did you drain all the coolant from the truck, or just what came out when you pulled the actuator off?
Why only 3 attempts?
Is the procedure the same for a 2008 6.7 he351ve turbo?
Yes, the procedure is the same.
Do you have to calibrate if your just changing the gaskets?
No, if you didn't move the sector gear or actuator's gear.
If my ecxaust brake stuck do I need to remplaace the vgt ot just clean it ? My check engine came on and the mufles smogs a lot and seems like a miss fire at 1250 rpm no power . also is there a way tl do it calibrate without that computer it broke on the feel up the mountains
2:50 put it on and connect it, and leave it off? That’s confusing
I have 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 had a code for turbocharger. Even tho the turbo was pushing up to 30psi normally I do up to 45 psi so I took it to a shop to take care of it. They replaced the whole turbo kit w actuator but now when I’m driving on engine brake let’s say 3rd gear doing 2.5 rpms then engine brake slows it down to 1.75 rpm and I floor the gas pedal it starts smoking like I’m rolling coal and rpm docent go up quickly it goes up very slowly and smokes for about 5-10 seconds then finally takes off I have blocked the EGR and it’s a straighpipe did the shop had to calibrate the turbo before install?
Have you flashed ECM with proper calibration?
@@avielectronicscorp.1591 michanic claimed that he did a new tuner on it
You have to calibrate to the turbo. Not with that tool. Here is how you really do it. Remove the vgt actuator and set the vanes to the full OPEN position. Send again but data 0x60 0xFF 0x01 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF If it pulses out then in. You are good to go. If not. Your actuator arm is not moving fully. Check that you can move the arm and the hole in the arm lines up with both the holes in the turbochargers bearing core in open and closed position. Sorry for the newbie question but what goes wrong with the actuators? Do they just get gummed up? Can they be cleaned and re-used?
No, they have defective electronic boards.
AVI Electronics Corp. Wonder why no recall?
@@JeffRigney Jeff, why are you asking me?))) From 2013 they did some changes, but with no luck.
You should do a voice over explaining whats going on. Other videos were much better.
Does the tool support all kind of Holset actuators like Scania (im asking for Europian market)? And the moving parts of the tool included the price?
I have a 2014 limited Laramie Longhorn and I have got the p003A code on my scanner a couple times now and noticed my truck taken longer to shift in 5th 6th could this be my actuator?
this company (AVI) advertises they rent the calibration tool for the vgt turbo.... I called them to rent one and the guy who answered the phone with only a dull "hello" said they rent it ONLY IF you purchase the actuator (already high priced) from them.... at a $90 dollar rental fee WITH a $700 dollar deposit, I would think they would be jumping at the chance to rent the calibration tool out...... AND, its my opinion that at the price they offer their "rebuilt" actuators at, if one purchases it from them the use of the calibration tool should be FREE (with a refundable deposit, of course).... Our Company will not do business with people who think their stuff is proprietary, as there is always someone more friendly to work with...... and we always leave a comment so others can know what to expect.

I am developing a twin turbo controller for a drift car. The code will be released and a shield and/or a pi hat will be released for an actually reasonble price. Using a mass produced mainboard cut costs from 1000 per unit to few 100 at most for am entirely working system. It will include calibration modes as well as full tunability. It may take time to make public but i have already reverse engineered all the communications and am working on software at the moment
Hello , I have a 08 Dodge 6.7 Cummins . engine light on , code p2262 turbo boost pressure not detected. Checked around the area of the turbo and noticed that the yellow solid wire is exposed ( my fault) I installed a catch can and did not secure it. The catch can was rubbing against the wire and actuator and exposed the wire. Would that cause it to malfunction?

Do you have to calibrate a new actuator plugged in and then bolt up? Or do you need the software for install? Thanks
Any actuator must be calibrated with a turbo. You can use a scanner, Cummins Insite, or calibration tool. For example ruclips.net/video/Z_Nb2LGmpQo/видео.html
