Is this switzerland?
It’s France. I was in the town of St Gervais Les Bains. It does look a lot like Switzerland though.
Looks so Crisp and Clean! Thank you and keep sharing!
Very nice ❤❤❤❤🫶😍😍😍
💚
Come to Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh - it is beautiful mountain laid snow and nature at the same time with waterfalls
That area looks incredible aswell, I really want to go to Nepal so may add a visit to northern India whilst I’m close.
I’m 13 and I can’t wait to go there as soon as i can!
@@FroggoCadoFR The Alps are awesome to see in person, definitely put it on your bucket list of things to do 👍🏼
I can see it just fine in my living room on my couch.. in Texas

What a gorgeous day at the beach ! 😎😎you captured the unique coastline beautifully! 👍👍
@@hikebytes it was an incredible little day hike, I loved watching the seals playing in the waves 😎
They are fun to watch ! We have alot in Laguna Beach Ca . They are very curious ! Some snorkelers have been lucky enough to swim up close with them!
@hikebytes on this hike we saw a boat arrive and a couple of people got out and were taking selfies with the seals. The seals must be used to it because they were swimming next to them, but I’m not sure I agree with it.
Amazing sunset!
Just soak it in ...and appreciate it all for when you're not there
Absolutely 👍🏼 I’m doing a lot of just standing still and looking at the mountains in awe 😜
Also do as much hiking when you can. At 69 yo I started dealing with the osteoarthritis in my right hip. Thank God I can walk, but jaunts in the mountains are a thing of the past.😮
@@mangafq8 Definitely 👍🏼 it’s one of the reasons I’m living this way at the moment. Not pursuing a career and just doing a bit of work when I need to top up the savings. I want to do these physically demanding adventures when I’m fit enough to do them. Not when I retire.
@RyansNextAdventure you are right. It makes no sense to wait till one is retired to live life!
@RyansNextAdventure I'm not retired yet actually. But still enjoying the ride!☺️
How high it was?
@@anetti53 I took this video at 2300m elevation looking over the Chamonix valley at Mont Blanc.
What a charming town! I'd like to see full length videos with this content. You know, walks around towns.
@@november151956 something I may do in the future.
Just sing in the rain.
@@desireelevin8822 😂 I could of set the camera up and done the whole routine 😂
To me, this looks like an opposite form of Scuba Diving. Instead of seeing and being under water, you are experiencing the exuberance and exhillaration of the mountains, the air and the scenery. Absolutely wonderful to get to know the world both ways.
@@desireelevin8822 it’s incredible to think there are beautiful mountains under the oceans. A whole world tucked away under the waves.
12 “You shall also have a place outside the camp and go out there, 13 and you shall have a spade among your tools, and it shall be when you sit down outside, you shall dig with it and shall turn to cover up your excrement. 14 Since the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to defeat your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy; and He must not see anything indecent among you or He will turn away from you. New American Standard Bible, 1995 Edition: Deuteronomy 23:12-14. Leave no trace!
That’s brilliant, I really enjoyed that. Absolutely, leave no trace. I even ruffle the grass where my tent has been so there’s no trace of a tent being there. Thank you for your message 👍🏼
@@RyansNextAdventure My pleasure! I am enjoying your hike. I also think Di is a great hiking partner. Such spirit!

How many times have you tripped and fallen while admiring the views and not watching the trail when running? Ha,Ha,Ha
@@november151956 😂 it is hard to keep an eye on the trail when these views are incredible. But I do just stop and admire the views. Trail running isn’t about pace, happy to keep stopping and soak in the scenery 😊
You are certainly seeing and experiencing the world from a different perspective. So happy you can share it with all of us..

Can’t beat big mountain views whilst on a trail run
@@RyansNextAdventure no you really can’t. Loving this content. Looking forward to more! Just posted a video myself this morning. Check it out if you have time. Ran 7 miles before my 12 hour shift. Tired but fulfilled. 😃
God.. beautiful waterfall...🫶 charming place 💜💚🍀
Can’t beat a good waterfall
Love your work dude. Ngl as soon as I saw this I thought this the kinda guy who will twist his ankle on a flat surface 😂
Hopefully not 😅 it’ll probably happen trying to film these shorts 😂
This is like mountain biking on foot. There is nothing quite like the freedom of the outdoors.
Magnificent! This is brilliant!
You should be here running around in the mountains too
Great content man! Keep it up. You will get there. I just started mine recently. Trying to inspire others also. Have a great one! 😊
@@Fostering-adventure cheers man, much appreciated 👍🏼 good luck with your channel journey.
@@RyansNextAdventure likewise! Was watching this years UTMB after my run this morning. It’s a long term goal for me but I would love to be a part of something that amazing. Got a half-marathon trail race coming up in October here in the states. Just finished my first 50k this year. Big dreams to do some big races. Good luck with your trail running also!
@@Fostering-adventure that’s awesome, congrats on your first 50k. I’m slowly getting back into ultra running. I did a lot a few years ago and then focused on long distance hiking for a few years. It was amazing to watch UTMB this year in Chamonix, the atmosphere was incredible. I’m very much looking at and planning my way to maybe run UTMB in a few years. It would be an awesome achievement to just get to the start line. Good luck with your training, I also have an ultra in December I’m currently training for, a 37 miler along the south coast of England.
@@RyansNextAdventure impressive work!
Great route. I’ve done it in parts but never as one long stretch - stunning 👌
@@HorizonTreks it was an amazing hike, it takes you for a tour of the Beacons. Beautiful 😊

Que gran pesar que Jim no continuará yo se que hubiera ganado y si no por lo menos entre los primeros.
@@JohanaGamboa-f5u it was a shame, but not much he can do if he is injured. I’m sure he will be back next year to conquer the mountains 💪🏼
I just can’t bring myself to run with poles 😂 I would look too awkward. Is there a clear benefit from using poles on ground like this?
@@JOsc4-v there is a definite technique to running with poles. On the first climb of UTMB pretty much everyone had poles out, even all the pros. It does take a lot of pressure of the legs and helps prevent fatigue. With an event as long as UTMB you want to protect the legs for as long as possible. I’ve never run with poles either as they are only necessary for the big climbing runs (and the running poles are expensive) but plan to in the future as I get back to ultra running
@@RyansNextAdventure I need to try, would like to do UTS next year then Dragons back year after. Leo poles look good. I’m usually using the hands on thighs technique ha How did you find it at UTMB? Were you spectating? Atmosphere looks unreal.
@@JOsc4-vhands on thighs is good but I noticed it wears out my lower back quite a lot
@@JOsc4-v just here to watch it, the atmosphere is incredible. The finish line always looks big on tv, but it is very small in person with everyone cramped in. It adds to the atmosphere. Everyone gets cheered through Chamonix and across the line like they are superstars, even the ones that are towards the back amd have missed cut off. Incredible experience.
@@JOsc4-v wow, I’ve just looked up the dragons back race, looks mental. It goes over crib goch. What a race. I assume if you’re planning that then you will be doing the full distance UTS. I’ve had a few years off from ultra running and been doing a lot of long distance hiking, but getting back to the ultras now. Hopefully build back up to a 100 miler. But the mountain ultras is what I want to do. Just need to keep training the elevation. Goodluck with your winter training
Come back stronger Jim .... 💪💪💪💪
It’s a shame he dropped out of the race this year, so many favourites dropped it was incredible, but you have to listen to your body. Jim will be back 💪🏼😎
Shows how much of an effort like Western states is, was hoping for Jim or Tom Evan’s to get the win. Also shows how tough a double for WS and UTMB is. Think Killian is the only male to achieve it in 2010 or 11.
@@JOsc4-v the double is so tough, especially as the events are so close together. Katie Schide achieved the double female win, and completed utmb in a record female time aswell which is even more impressive.
@@RyansNextAdventure yeah unreal from katie. Didn’t realise she did the double. Courtney won Hardrock, WS and UTMB last year, I think.
@@JOsc4-v yeah she was the first person ever to win all 3 of those events in 1 year. Incredible, not sure that will get beaten in a long time. Maybe kilian could do it if he wanted to, but he is off climbing mountains.
אחי אתא גיבור אף אחד לא מאז לעסות את הכל😅 ❤
Thank you, luckily I hiked the whole trail before the war started. Israel is a beautiful country 💚
Thank you
You’re welcome
I love this video so much....even just the sounds of nature and the narration are very meditative😅❤
Love the video!! Where did you get the plastic bags you used for the river crossing?
We were really lucky as the lady we were dog sitting for in Plettenburg Bay gave us a couple to use for the Otter Trail. My bag was water proof and the water came up to my waist, so I managed to keep my backpack on my back whilst crossing. They are just really big plastic bags, so may be able to buy them at any hardware store or online is probably better.
