I honestly wonder why they don’t have the expo trains use platform 1, permanently terminate at Lougheed, and then M line trains can use platforms 2 and 3 for a higher frequency.

There’s also new SkyTrain service from Waterfront to Surrey central only this is because King George station is closed for 6 weeks from April 27 too mid June

I remember couple decades ago when the Millennium Line was a new thing, the route went up to only Braid before the line was extended out to Commercial. It's giving me the "Millennium Line to Braid" vibes.

Kinda sucks that they will be taking these Mark 1s out of service later this year, I rode many as a child. They get really stuffy in the summer tho. The fans don’t really do much.

MK1 trains usually don’t run on the evergreen extension because they are at higher risk of timing out (losing contact with the main train control) in the long tunnel past Burquitlam than MK2 or newer trains do

Was this the day that a power shortage affected the Millennium line from Lougheed Town Centre to Lafarge Lake Douglas? There was only 6 minute frequency at rush hour instead of the regular 2 minutes.

Nice catch! It looks like you catched the only 4 car 2009 2nd gen Mark 2 cause all of the other 1st gen Mark 2s and 2nd gen Mark 2s I saw in the video only have 2 cars on all of the other Mark 2s. This also like the other day when they 4 car Mark 1s due to the issue at Scott Road a few days ago. I have a video of that on my channel this kinda reminds me of it cause this has the same type issue that has something to do with skytrain cars

Were the doors really closed at Commercial-Broadway headed back? Once I was at Inlet Centre and the doors were open and we were sitting there for about 10 mins. It was due to an incident at Metrotown and I was on the Lafarge Lake-Douglas bound platform.

083-084, still thrashing like crazy. That was my first Mk1 train I rode when I visited Vancouver and it was epic how loudly it growled.

They used to have 4 car mark 1s in service since the skytrain opened in 1986 but they stopped the 4 car mark 1s in around September 2016 and they put the mark 1s into 6 cars
