How far are you in the development of your own game?

BROOOOOOOOOOOOO this game is going to bring a few people back into fighting games.

Oh I agree with retro gaming that wont die. We are talking about going into the future. We most likely wont have a collection as robust as what we have with our super nintendo PS2 and and so on. Thats why I like the switch so much because you still have a had copy of the product. I have like 200 switch games on hard copy. I have PC for everything else. Retro of course I dont emulate. :)

@ I see the next Xbox and PlayStation being the last. At this point in hardware they’re basically Pc’s just worse since you have to pay to play online. Soon they’ll just be modular devices that you can swap parts internally like a pc in my mind.

It really depends on the game. Some times they leave and only come back depending on what type of deal the other companies have. MVC2 wasnt playable on new gen consoles and we were at the mercy of the publisher until we got the Capcom collection. Yeah you can play it on gream cast but the new folks to gaming dont have it or the game is expensive or hard to come by. Scott pilgram, another example, was taken from us and we didnt get it back for another 10 years. Now there is a hard copy but it originally was only digital. More and more games are going digital. Thats the point. We are at "their" mercy. I look young but we are close to the same age. I just age well. I got what you got. I understand where you are coming from. Future gaming is just going to be different then yesteryear.

So do I. MAC does have a few streaming clients that you can use for PS Plus and Game Pass. My only issue is controllers...I guess a good ol PS5 controller will do though so I dont have nothing to really complain about.

@ had it since 2022 but 3070ti, 12th gen i7, 32gb ram. Picking up a new 4tb sdd tomorrow simply cause I’m tired of installing these new games on hdd having rendering issues due to loading times lol nothing I can’t play on the current market however lol

@ same I just put a 4070 in mine.

I got a 2070 super on a i5 and still can play all the stuff, 64ram, 2TB SSD and 2x10TB HDD for game preservation.

@@ajoydas-Watch-It I don’t do piracy so I don’t know about that but emulation is a great point I only do fightcade though. Almost all PS exclusives end up on PC you just gotta be patient. Spider man is a great example of that.

Same as Nintendo games tbf but again don’t support piracy unless they force your hand for example bloodborne on shadeps4

@@CertifiedMVP I can agree with some of that. There are several variables that are there. I don’t think going “ pro “ is a full time job. I think it’s something that is fulfilling while having the potential of bringing in some money. I think there are layers to it as well. The comparison I always give is golf pros. Not everyone is Tiger Woods but the have made a career out of being a golf professional by doing other things with in that field like be a golf coach or work at a golf club while practicing and competing in their craft. I don’t think it’s too late but then again I have sponsors and been on teams and have made lots of money off of gaming. This year is just a more aggressive year for me. Age is just a small factor in my opinion. I think it’s about the time you are aloud to allocate to it. It also depends on the genre of game you are playing. The top guys in the stuff I play are in their mid to late 30s with some already in their 40s and don’t come from rich families.

a friend of mine makes over 100k an year and only works 1 day per week parttime and boosts people to gladiator in wow 6 days per week... there's no 1 size fits all regarding competition, someone in south america or east non european country in all likelyhood has lower minimum wages at mcdonalds than whatever you can earn in dollars/euro from competitive play while maintaing an job on the side to fuel that path. Its hard, exhausting and borderline soulcrushing but not impossible, there's even streaming in todays gaming era allowing for people waaaay past their prime like that one veteran grandpa that snipes in battlefield at elite level to thrive....

Personally, I think it's for just doing things on the go and not really for competitive play. I will use this example. If you play basketball you wont play with an outdoor ball during an official indoor game right. That outdoor ball feels different and is made different. The same rules apply here. Now is it possible to get good with something like this? Yeah sure but if you are saying you want something a little more "professional" this is not the way to go. IMO Get it for that time you are on the plane or some small congested space and you need to lab or whatever so you don't have anything big and bulky taking up a lot of space.

@@MDSoulTV Ok I tested and works great wirelessly with Retro Scaler PS2 Blueretro Mini adapter on X-Input mode. Waiting on the Dreamcast Bluetooth adapter to test but should work also as they both run the same firmware

@@matthewwalsh2943 i have a trouble shooting process. First I would see if it’s the game not your controller. Get another arcade stick from a buddy or your secondary stick play around with it. I wouldn’t use a controller because they have their own issues. Then I would , in this case, open that bad boy up and take off the wires and put back on again. Sometimes wires touch and act funny or get loose. If that doesn’t work I would see if it was the button by switching it with another that you already using on the stick.

I always will say do whats best for your pockets. Then focus on the case and determine if it fits your needs. Both are good sticks one is just thinner than the other.
