The Blonde One
США
Добавлен 30 июл 2014
Movie buff, audiophile, strongly interested in history with a penchant for tweaking videos.
Hey there! This channel is some bits of video editing, occasionally funny or interesting stuffs (not guaranteed) by yours truly, with no particular direction but led by the way of heart and soul, and growing varying interests. I also used to share vinyls and funny stuff, and embarrassingly, full albums, but decided it was not worth it, so I expanded my scope to publish something more interesting. All videos are uploaded on grounds of fair use within U.S jurisdiction (or similar laws like fair dealing thereof) and pique interests in the subject in various videos whether academic or casually.
Don't let the name catch you off guard! The Blonde One has no specific meaning of who is the Blonde One, and it's certainly not your kind of blonde.
The Blonde One is the pseudonym of a U. S. based content maker who decided to tweak existing videos at any spare time given.

Barry Miles and Silverlight (1974)
Просмотров 1147 месяцев назад
This upload has the correct songs. It's a surprisingly eclectic, virtuosic and underrated piano-prominent jazz rock fusion album - and out of print. (But if you like it, please support the artists.) Tracklist Side 1: 0:00 Buck Rogers (Terry Silverlight) 5:06 The Cat (Barry Miles) 9:14 Loved You So Long (Miles, Mike Bonagura) 13:02 Gypsy Dance (Miles) 18:16 The Top Belle (Miles) Side 2: 22:59 Bi...
Looking For Mr. Goodbar (1977) - open matte vs widescreen comparison
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.Год назад
This is just a small visual comparison between the two versions: the open matte version is from a Dutch TV broadcast while the widescreen version is from a recent TCM broadcast. Obviously, the TCM version is less washed out and technically better with more details. Some would say that the open matte is better because it has more details that would have otherwise been matted... This comparison a...
Queen - A Day at the Races Overture / Shepard tone (1 hour remix)
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.3 года назад
Audio only - Queen's album "A Day at the Races" opens with an overture that quotes the motif of one of their songs (White Man); right after that, Brian May offers a Shepard tone (an audio illusion that keeps rising) made from overdubbed harmoniums and reversed guitar lines playing the C major scale, locked in harmony, with a drone G dyad to accentuate the ethereal quality of such. This Shepard ...
Dusty Springfield's Ragdoll Cat!

I Just Saw M.G.M. (Excerpt from "The Chimp", 1932)
Просмотров 63 тыс.3 года назад
Wanted to upload this bit in HQ so there ya go. Many full shorts circulating online come and go but this part will never cease to amuse me. From Laurel and Hardy's short film "The Chimp", 1932 CCA owns the rights to the film - fair use assumed within U.S. jurisdiction - this is an example of breaking the fourth wall - Laurel and Hardy were signed to Hal Roach's studio who was making films for t...
Louis Armstrong - I Cover the Waterfront / Dinah / Tiger Rag (Speed-Corrected, 1933)
Просмотров 29 тыс.3 года назад
From "København, Kalundborg og" (directed by Ludvig Brandstrup, 1933-34) The synced audio is sourced from the Danish-based label Storyville Records' compilation album "Louis Armstrong in Scandinavia", which is a tad bit clearer than most available versions as you can hear some sounds clearly like the drummer brushing and Armstrong's sibilances. (Headphones required!!!) I assume this must be fro...
Fred Frith - Nirvana Again / Norrgården Nyvla / Birds (Step Across the Border / 1990)
Просмотров 6 тыс.3 года назад
From the 1990 film Step Across the Border, directed by Nicolas Humbert and Werner Penzel. Interestingly, Fred Frith's band Keep the Dog were playing a bunch of motifs related to Nirvana for Mice and Norrgarden Nyvla, as well as a portion of Frith's direct communication between nature and music (birds and violins) that's just a bit impossible to be cut out as it's tied there together. I'm afraid...
Henry Cow ft. Lindsay Cooper - Pigeons (Peel Session, 1974)

A colossal musical piece recorded live for John Peel, that would be split into small pieces (Bittern Storm Over Ulm, Half Asleep Half Awake, Ruins) for their album Unrest, released in May 1974. Pigeons (Frith, Greaves) Consider buying Henry Cow's music if this music interests you. Here's a snippet from their Chateauvallon concert but it's replaced with radio-sourced audio and synched. (If you don't think there's much difference in the audio, I highly suggest wearing your headphones) So, a full live broadcast of the Mahavishnu Orchestra at the Festival of Châteauvallon, France, 1972 circulated in recent years in the form of physical distribution and digital file. You keep expecting to hear tie your mother down!
J'étais là ce soir là , 1ère partie Tony William JL Ponty Stanley Clarke extraordinaire
My favourite band of all time
The film was recently released on blu ray
Louis Armstrong was a badass
Believe me when I say as a young drummer learning the trade back then that the Beast wearin' peoples clothes behind that kit single handedly raised the level of drumming (in all genres) to a stratospheric height that was fuckn SCARY....The ONE, The ONLY BILLY COBHAM.....❤ Mercy.
Браво.
Вот это настоящий джаз.
Как всегда супер потрясащий.И моем сердце вечно живой❤
I used to have this album. 54+ years ago. Had electric Kool-Aid with the band @LCSC
We talk about lub.
i have a hard time believing that the band and the audience were being filmed in the same space and on the same day. great music though.
Great - but can you dance to it?

what Cobham is playing at 11.40 most drummers today can still not match, the level of pure energy intensity and depth of feeling is almost not of this world thank you for reminding my why I gave up playing the drums
The lion likes " I'm going to catch you'' with a cute roar😂😂😂 roar lol
Gotta love early Armstrong!
I heard he was completely stoned when this was recorded. Pop's loved his weed.
I saw Billy Cobham this summer in Brighton UK. Love Supreme Jazz Festival. Awesome ❤
The only musician who ever made me cry with only 3 notes...
The only musician to whom I can listen all day long and never, ever get tired of listening.
Wow.. such an amazing and rare video thank you for posting this!!!
From now on I will say "la ñata", endearing term here in Argentina ahhah
That's so funny 😂😂😂 that they saw the MGM lion😂😂😂
Another usual clickbait
In Dutch Anette. 🇳🇱
I'm fucking obsessed with this video 🥲🥲🥲🥲
sounds the same
This performance of Dinad brings tears of joy - such soul and swing; Armstrong takes us to higher place. Notice the smile on the tenor sax player at the end ( he looks like Coleman Hawkins!)
Do you have the personnel credits for the band? Thanks for the vid - sounds great!
How do they know when to come in on those big drum fills?
Audio dub.
Look it up. She was playing a ukulele before George. 1930s
Sasha king crimson !!!
I saw this band at the world famous Roxy on The Fabulous Sunset Strip... unbelievable concert, like the old Sunbeam Tigers; a big engine in a small body. That was MO in a club, and they were ON that night. Unforgettable, particularly for a buddy who had long hair sitting in front of Cobham's kick drum; every time Billy hit it my bud's hair would fly back😂
GREATEST MUSIC of all times....
Those guys were pissed off about something..
No Jimi played the bass on this.
... and he did it well! the funkiness in his playing is remarkable.
@wolfgangfricke8555 not surprising right, Jimi was flat out incredible, the best.
Research shows... This was the work of Alan Douglas who later curated the Hendrix estate and controversially put Hendrix's studio jams over the top of other musicians to create albums after Jimi's death. Hendrix, Stephen Stills, John Sebastian and drummer Buddy Miles appear on the 14 minute track Live And Let Live (on which Leary is credited with the "rap") here.
I believe Hendrix was the guitar! I remember when this came out. Leary and Jimmi were close
A true visionary!! Thanks for posting
¡Qué pena que se escuche tan mal!. ¡Aún así vale la pena!.
So grateful for this. Thanks Lionel. The man with the vinyl. 🖤
🎺
There's been a legion of jazz soloists in the last 100 years........here's Number One.

GEÑIOOOSSS..VIRTUOSOS ..DESCONCERTANTES DELIRANTES...ALIENIGENAS DE OTRAS GALAXIAS...UNICOS E IRREPETIBLES...MAGIA MISTICA...ALUCINANTE MAS DE 50 AÑOS Y TE DEJAN CONSTERNADOS POR TANTA MUSICALIDAD Y MAESTRIA...POR SIEMPRE GRABARON SU INMORTALIDAD...❤❤❤❤❤❤😮😮😮😮
Bruce Byall and I drove the truck for this tour. I believe this was the first gig on the tour. I had never heard them play before and I was stunned. My favorite tour of all tours.
VERY 'EAVY. Birds of Fire: pietra miliare! Immensa Gratitudine e Lunga Vita a John"Maha Vishnu"McLaughlin.
8:33! These guys dropped down from Mt. Olympus for this gig. Love seeing how much thehvare enjoying playing.
