Fix P0446 on GM car
This video shows how to fix P0446 on a 2020 Chevy Malibu. Besides the error code the car would not gas up without shutting off the nozzle constantly. The problem was the vent canister solenoid. It was stuck in the closed position preventing air from passing through the canister. The new solenoid cost $20 on amazon. Installation is easy once you get the canister out of the car. Reassembly is equally easy. Whole job can be done in an hour if you have the part on hand and the canister cooperates.

Hello does your air bag light constantly flash now?
no
Thank You.
Glad it helped.
Love it! 10x...
Glad you like it! I am loving these brakes. They are so much better.
Just fyi, these boards contain very simple components and are easily repairable by any electronics shop. Repairing them costs 1/4 of the cost of a new board
Thanks, I didn't know that!
What kind of electrical connector did you use to adjust the fuel screw on the fly? I'm very interested since the aftermarket versions are $30+.
They are standard automotive crimp connectors. Just get the right size. Mine are light blue.
@thehomerepairguy Thank you so much!
THANK YOU! I ordered my LJ Rubicon new in 06 right before the JK model year cutoff date. I wanted the huge storage compartment in the center console, so I didn't order the electronics package that came with the subwoofer in the console, a multi-disc CD in-dash CD changer, and the cruise control. Mopar being Mopar, they screwed up the order and installed the sub anyway, but still deleted the rest. So the very reason I DIDN'T get cruise control was nullified right at the assembly line! I'd already sold my other vehicle or I'd have sent it back for them to fix it. (It ended up at the dealership a week later for a transmission recall anyway) Well, fast-forward 18 years later, and my knees aren't like they used to be. I'm kicking myself for not just getting the fancy package on my already-way-too-expensive Jeep. And now here we are. I cannot thank you enough for giving me all the info I need to fix my mistake from way back then.
Glad to help. I'm glad Jeep includes the software so it all works when connected up. I sold my TJ this year to get a Bronco, but loved having the cruise for trips while I had it . Mine was the X version that didn't come with it from the factory.
Good lookin' out! Just drove the TJ eight hours with no cruise... This will be very helpful when I install mine... Thanks Brother-Man!!!
Glad to help
I'm a gold star window air conditioner. I'm the same kind you had. We just build up dust and we don't blow cold air. We just need to be cleaned. Then we'll blow cold air. So you don't have to buy a Cheaply made window air conditioner
Cleaned mine. Didn't help. I think the refrigerant was low but recharging it was as much as a new unit.
Great video on how to repair the idle problem. Mine was doing the same. Gonna drain the carb before storage going forward. You earned my sub. Thanks
Glad it helped
is the radio worth it?
Absolutely.
@@thehomerepairguy I might go ahead and get the newer 10.1 inch screen one, updated
The best video I found on this install. Thanks for the help.
Glad it helped
How do you turn it on by the buttons on it?
The on button is kinda hard to see. It is on the front panel put over to the left. You just touch it but don't have to push it. It is the the circle with the line through the top.
Could you please put the links for the items
Sure. Just added them to the video description. Hope that helps.

Great save, thank you friend. We just bought a used car with one of these installed and I was worried I'd bricked it!
Glad I could help
Awesome man! I am just about to tackle this job and this video helps so much!! 🍻
Glad you like it. I couldn't find one that showed what to do about the reservoir hose. Also, the instructions don't say a word about the clips so I decided to share what I learned.
Replaced my nordictrack 10i control board. Now the speed is waaay off. Any idea how to recalibration the speed on this model?
I'm not sure, but the guy I got my board from was super knowledgeable. Try checking with your board seller.
Thank you. You showed me exactly what I needed to see.
You're welcome. Glad it helped.
Do you have to replace the float valve if it is gunked up?
No. Only if it sinks
Thanks for the video, I did everything here pretty much exactly the same, but I’m not getting any power to my rear or front camera. Instead of soldering, I just crimped everything and I grounded all black cables into current grounded cables by using splice connectors. I’m not sure what else to do, any suggestions?
check the grounds for continuity and power wires for 12v when you select them. Sounds like one or the other.
Do you have any video of it before it fixed. Sound like the problem I’m having
No, but I drove it and sometimes especially at high speed it seemed fine and other times especially at low speed or accelerating from a stop it suddenly felt like a wheel was coming off. The whole car wobbled violently. It is very easy to check. Simply crawl under and inspect the drive line. If it moves at all side to side, the bearing is shot. One look at the center support bearing and it was obvious what the problem was. The whole bearing came apart and left a huge gap so the drive line could move around a lot.
Do you have to replace the sealer once you open it?
No
what kind of wifi switches are you using for this?
I used these: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B3DLR7TK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 but I think similar switches would work just as well.
Actually a very helpful video. Been thinking of replacing my radio, so gives a good level of detail on what to expect once I dig into it. Thanks! I might use a Dremel to remove that excess lip.
Thanks. We installed it in my son's truck and he loves it. Keeps saying he wishes he did it sooner. The backup camera is great. He uses android auto and enjoys that too. Yeah, the Oscillating Multi-Tool wasn't ideal cutting plastic because the plastic melts instead of cutting cleanly.
Does this head unit have GPS?
No. You use your phone for GPs and navigation. That helps keep the cost down.
Can you provide a link to the back up camera on Amazon?
My son bought it. Not sure which one he got.
No se calienta ese stereo?
para me no
Thing is, I'm not looking for something that is "cool" I want something that is functional. That is to say--too many things in our lives are becoming Reliant, on aps & smart phones. I don't find my smart phone all that smart excent that it's capable of forcing me to buy a new phone every two years. See my point? Technoloy is only as good as long as it works, or is affordable, as far as I'm concerned, and none of it is becoming more affordable or is it making my life easier. I hate it when Technology tells me what it Thinks is good for me.
In this case the app is great for me because we leave our cat in my shop when we are out of town. With the app I can see the temperature in there and adjust it if needed. I can also look at the weather and set a routine for the days we are gone to ensure he doesn't overheat. If not for that I would be like you and just turn it on manually when I go in my shop.
Its very loud
Yeah, it is loud. I have it in my shop so I am running machines and working so it doesn't bother me. Never had to sleep in there. For people that like a lot of white noise.
You can also just go into settings and turn the swa off. Just saying
Good point
Hi my treadmill suddenly stopped after there was a smell of burnt plastic, would this be the same issue?
that sounds like a belt slipping. Best to take it apart and check.
Yeah no.
Benchmarks 17% better and costs $400 less. Plus it is quieter and runs cooler. Was is not to like? GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (71%) 31,770 $749.99 GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (61%) 27,166 $1,229.27
Thank you, your amazing just put mine up
You’re welcome. Mine is still going great.
Thanks for this.
My pleasure!
I would love to have one.
Mine is for sale. I have it listed on Facebook Marketplace. I need to update the ad because I just replaced the windshield.
God bless you!!!! ❤ Thank you!
You are so welcome. Happy to help
My Nordictrack tradmill have the same problem...i can't do the fixing that you just did...I want to sell it off.
Maybe someone will buy it for parts
Did the steering wheel controls work after this install?
We could only program three functions. One of the comments gives the correct connection to get all six.
You rock! Thanks
glad to help
Great video! Thanks for posting!
You bet!
i’ve got a 17 sport and i get this sort of thumping that happens ESP when turning left or right. seems like it’s coming from the rear and maybe the right side too. do you think this may be the cause? i’m gonna have to crawl under and check but it’s funny because it was at the dealers a couple months ago and they never brought it up and i did tell them about it you think they would’ve checked
i forgot to add. it kind of feels like a brake caliper is sticking. when i said it happens on LR turns, i mean from a stoplight etc. it doesn’t happen too much while driving
Usually when the thumping is when turning left or right it is a CV joint. You can tell by looking just inside the front wheels. There is an accordion looking round disc in the center of the wheel with a metal shaft going through the center. If that rubber is cracked or ripped or if there is grease or oil leaking from them then that CV joint is usually bad and requires replacement. They are a service item and not too expensive to replace.
@@thehomerepairguy it’s only on launch type scenarios IE when youre turning left at the intersection once the light turns green and you can feel it’s in the rear. It almost feels like a caliper isn’t releasing properly but i had the brakes done not too long ago so i don’t think it’s that
@@saggitarian1970I'm having the same exact issue did you ever get it fixed? What's weird is the noise started last Oct about a month later my rear right tire went flat so i put spare on and then replaced. As soon as i put the spare on the noise stopped completely blew my mind so I'm thinking ok bad tire i guess when put new/used tire on noise still never came back. So now yesterday I have the other 3 tires replaced and had that right rear rotated to the front pick it up and boom the dreaded noise is back. When turning from stop or very slow speed you hear boom boom boom like there is slack in the drive line. I'm at a loss hoping you got yours fixed... Also mine is a 17 Santa Fe limited ultimate
How did you get the cover off? The screws at the front are removed but I can’t get the cover off for fear of breaking the cover
It has been awhile, but there might be screws on the side or clips to unpop. Be gentle but firm and it should lift off.
What does it do.?
it recirculates exhaust gas into the intake manifold.
@@thehomerepairguy can this also cause a bad misfire?
Can this causes a misfire?
Thanks for the instructions. I got done with mine and now the airbag light (by the speedometer) is constantly flashing. I assume this is from me unplugging and replugging the passenger airbag light in the center dash unit there... Did I do something wrong, or how can I fix that?
I've never run into that before, but I do avoid the airbag wiring.
Deflector tins need to be between the first and second fin. Not on top.
Good catch
Why didn't the shop line bore your case? Usually has to be done every time you pull your block apart.
He measured it all out and said it was fine.
Nice work!
Thanks!
I just got my 2014 santa fe replaced exactly that propeller shaft. And you are right on the money, cost me $250 from used parts and $150 labor to replace. The mechanic says he cannot find anyone selling just that bearing parts that failed.
Glad you got it fixed. My son drove his for awhile without it before getting it fixed. Didn't hurt anything.
Putting a 40-series GPU in a little decade old cube design like this is crazy, and I absolutely love it! Excellent review - actually having someone show the inside properly and show any issues after using it too is so nice.
Glad you liked it! It has been running great all this time. I really like it. I run flight sim so It really works the GPU.
I have a PFTL13118.1 ProForm treadmill with the same problem. The control panel also flashes red lights as well. How can I replace it? And what kind would I need to replace it?
Go to the link in the video description. I ordered from that guy and he is very knowledgeable and willing to help.
