When I was diagnosed, I was 4 years old. I went to the docter and my blood sugar was 700+ It was a miracle I was alive, and was rushed to the ER, then stayed in the Hospital for 2+ weeks. God has a plan, and a purpose for everything. Even when it might be a bad situation! God loves you! And if you have any prayer requests comment!

I'm so glad that my doctor told me to go to the e.r when she thought that i was in dka ! My blood sugar was at like 300 but thankfully I was not in dka. But i was really sick for a while. 🩵🦋

I never went into dka but i thought that my thyroid was acting up so I went to the doctor and they did a whole bunch of tests including a1c and blood sugar. My a1c was at 11 and my blood sugar was like in the 300's. My doctors office called and they wanted me to go to the e.r and i did. But i wasn't into dka so i felt fine and the er people were really worried and now I see why.🤷‍♀️🩵

Anyone had really bad dizziness and thirst ..comes suddenly and in waves ..head ache have a virus but had this before i got ill too..think the virus has triggered it ..also been dieting very strict and judt started tk eat sugar ect again

I really like how you explained your symptoms and journey. I'm really sorry you had to join the Type1diabetes club it's a bummer. But I'm also glad your doing way better. I had similar symptoms but blacked out a few times, crawling to the bathroom like on my knees every 30 minutes or less before my friend found me took me to the ER. I was also in college at the time so i was scared to go to the hospital. Ps this club sometimes bums you out. 😅

At 2:15, 9 mmol/L is not 130 mg/dL its 160 mg/dL 🙂

So crazy that you filmed this whole period! I remember my diagnosis in Sept 2007 - I literaly fell asleep at work, like being on a jet-lag. But I was also super thirsty all the time and my eye sight got really bad. That is when I went to see an eye doctor.... and then to another doctor where they tested my blood sugar and I found out. Hope you are doing better and have gotten to grips with the illness! Take care and persevere - we are in this together <3

Rice & Pasta is really bad for Diabetes it turns into glucose very quickly.not if she is Typ1or T2 she doesn’t use insulin probably Type 2

Here's how you cure your T1 diabetes: kidding.... I was diagnosed 1/18/1985, just after my 17th birthday. Had my 39th anniversary with T1 earlier this year. It most certainly fk's up your life! Those plans you thought you'd have: well nature thought otherwise. Good luck to you with your engineering field! I have a BSEE emphasizing CPU design, but do statistics for a living.

Her snacks were not good

I fell into a short coma. I was awake and asleep at the same time, that hospital visit felt like 2 days when it was actually 5

My son just got diagnosed ( 11 yo) he has dexcom 6and a pump- wich reads and goves insulin 24 hours a day ( its smart) pnly thing we need is to punch in the carbs he eat. - we all ( the parents and the boy) was in hospital for 2 weeks ( norweigian) where we needed to use a pen incase the pump goes out of action

My son ( 11) got the diagnosis this december, before senere symptomes though. Only eccesive thirst luckaly. He was to the doctor for some ADHD follow up - and I mentioned to the doctor hes thirst, thats hpw wr found out early and before dka❤

I have a question, I have been getting low blood sugar readings for the past 4 times I’ve been going to the hospital. Been experiencing blurry vision,disoriented, hungry all the time,I’d pee a lot more than usual,fatigue,confused, dizziness, shaky and trembling. If I start to feel the symptoms get worse I eat something really sweet. Really worried

Thank you, I live in the US & have state insurance. (Confusing & Grateful, if that’s possible) I’ve had T1D for 40 yrs (2023) w/ a Disorder, (I found about 15 yrs ago). At times I feel like I’m failing. Yet I know I’m cable & able today. I joke a lot, both my parents were type 2, but I’m #1 (T1D) Stay Well.
